Confused about converting array drives to XFS
I'm still confused. So like I mentioned, I have one disk which I have emptied. Its showing 33MB since many days so obviusly nothing is being written to it. I have disabled docker. Can I now do the following: 1. Stop the array 2. un assign the drive I emptied out 3. start the array (data will be preserved but no parity until i add the missing drive or replacement drive) 4. format the drive i just un assigned from reiserfs to xfs (I assume this shoiuld be a one click process using unassigned devices) 5. after the format is done, assign this drive to the missing data drive slot. 6. Start the array and let parity rebuild. Is this ok?

Confused about converting array drives to XFS
I recently was recommended to convert the filesystem on all array drives to XFS. From reiserfs. Not sure about the benefits but I will take your word for it. I have emptied out one array disk by copying its contents to other array disks. The disk usage now shows at 33MB despite no files residing on it. I am confused as to how to proceed from here. I can see a lot of options on the guide for this and am simply unsure which one is for me. I have turned off docker. I am ok with rebooting in safe mode to turn off plugins. Parity disk is in place and parity is valid. Based on something I read, I have removed all user share restrictions and set all shares to the defaults of including all disks and excluding none. Please guide for the easiest path here onwards.

One data disk has red cross, all disks showing again in unassigned devices, most data folders blank
Very thankful for the excellent, precise help.

One data disk has red cross, all disks showing again in unassigned devices, most data folders blank
While everything seems ok, the flash drive has trillions of writes to it. And its showing in the unassigned devices section too. Any precautions to take? Somehow unable to download diagnostics too. It just says starting services and then nothing happens.

So the reiserfsck --rebuild-tree completed after 4-5 excruciating days on my celeron tower and finally finished with the log as here - https://pastebin.com/QBc31GXy I stopped the array and restarted it. And I think all my data is well. Thanks for all the help, everyone!

Not sure how to change the disk filesystem. Can you please link to a guide if any. Thanks for the help.

One data disk has red cross, all disks showing again in unassigned devices, most data folders blank
I stopped the disk check, and followed what you said. Which was to disable the disk, then re enable it and let it rebuild from parity. This is after swapping out the SATA controller for a new one. Now all disks are green. But a folder to which I was copying etc when all this occurred is empty.

One data disk has red cross, all disks showing again in unassigned devices, most data folders blank
Uh oh, same errors repeat. All disks have billions of writes and errors and are showing in the unassigned devices again. What should I do? Even my cache disk somehow unassigned itself, not sure if its related to this issue. akserver-diagnostics.zip

I removed and cleaned and reseated the SATA controller and everything seems better than before in the dashboard. Still have one disk with red X. File system is reiserfs. Is this the process to follow - https://wiki.unraid.net/Manual/Storage_Management#Checking_a_File_System

One data disk has red cross, all disks showing again in unassigned devices, most data folders blank
As subject suggests, one disk has a red cross. Other disks and parity disk are green balls. There is a read check on at the moment. All the data disks etc are also being listed under Unassigned Devices. When I access some data folder over SMB, most folders are empty and no files show. Diagnostics attached. akserver-diagnostics-20220604-2114.zip

[support] rix's Docker Repository
Now makemkv seems to support UHD disc rip ing. Anyone tried this with ripper? Does it work? Any first hand info would have been great before I take the plunge and buy a couple drives that wont work.

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Kodi-Headless
Ditched the idea and using ripper. I didnt know about it. Thanks !

[support] rix's Docker Repository
Hey this is awesome. Just came across this one. Where can the settings be edited? Can it rip direct to flac instead of wav first and then convert to flac and mp3 (if my understanding of the process is correct) How does makemkv get updated? Is it automatic? How to edit makemkv options?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Kodi-Headless
I have installed this on my unRaid server. My only application for this kodi instance is to be able to rip audio cds when I pop it in just like regular Kodi does. I reckoned that I can make changes in guisettings.xml in the following section as below and it should do the trick but somehow its not ripping discs. I have the same settings on another regular kodi box and I use that to rip cds. Can anyone help? <audiocds> <autoaction>2</autoaction> <ejectonrip default="true">true</ejectonrip> <encoder>audioencoder.flac</encoder> <recordingpath>/var/media/Data/Music/Ripped Music/</recordingpath> <trackpathformat default="true">%A/%A - %B/[%N. ][%A - ]%T</trackpathformat> <usecddb default="true">true</usecddb> </audiocds>

[Plugin] CA User Scripts
I realize the window was blank because some other user script was running. After I stopped the other running script and ran this again, I got some info in the window. So basically even the 'restart' command works. Just that I needed to wait till the other script finishes.

[Plugin] CA User Scripts
Thanks. That works.

[Plugin] CA User Scripts
Hi I am looking to do something very simple. I want a user script which restarts a docker container, lets say Transmission when run. So I went to the user scripts GUI, clicked on add script and created a new script. I named it 'restart transmission' and saved. Then I went to edit and added the line restart docker transmission and saved the file So the script file now reads #!/bin/bash docker restart transmission But when I run the script nothing happens, a blank window just opens. I am able to get the desired result by issuing this command from command line however. What am I missing?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Transmission
I'm not sure this is going to work (I think I have tried it, btw). When you edit the settings from the web UI you are basically writing to that very file.

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Transmission
Sorry, thats what I meant to say, that the config folder resides at that path. So yes, I do have a "Transmission" sub folder.

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Transmission
I installed the transmission container but the settings do not survive a restart of the container. The config dir is /mnt/cache/appdata What could I be doing wrong? EDIT: Oops, just saw preceding posts. Looks like its an issue with everyone. P.S. I have reverted to gfjardim's version of transmission and that's working pretty well for me! Just use "gfjardim/transmission" as the repo

[REPO] LinuxServer.io Docker Repo
I installed the transmission container but the settings do not survive a reboot. The config dir is /mnt/cache/appdata What am I doing wrong?

I can't find this plugin in the Apps tab. Any link to manually install plugin?
