this looks like it was the issue. confused about the missing data I went digging through all the tables and found the one mentioned. thinking it was odd, I checked through recent release notes and found this. crisis averted lol
-
this container just deleted my entire database for it, and now I've lost all my history for it!
-
Running this we get the below message. Not sure how out of date Docker Hub is, but looks like the latest report for Insight is actually here: https://github.com/RedisInsight/RedisInsight Any chance of getting the Unraid image updated?
-
got another one. I run all my containers on a custom docker network. how can I pass my host's network activity to my glances container sitting in this network. appears my network traffic is only correct when the containers network is `host`
-
trying to setup glances with `tecnativa/docker-socket-proxy`. does anyone know how to pass this to the container? next question, I have mariadb already running on my server. how can I set up glances to export to this instead?
-
what's the ALLOW_EMBED setting do? could this be used to present say the down/up graph in a homepage iframe?
-
apologies for the delay. been away from home. tried the method on jdownloader in the pinned comment. worked a treat, thanks š

anyone having issues with the edge container. I just updated to the last update, and now web I browse to the Web UI, I just land on the VNC screen and the error "Failed to connect to server" top of the page. Also opening the log window, the window pops up, then immediately closes

Noted. I'll stick to RealVNC then Thanks. I did a little digging based your advice. Looks like the remapping is limited in this respect for RealVNC. Is there a way to perhaps remap the keys into the container?
-
RealVNC appears to work without a password. So that's good. On a Mac though, it doesn't appear to map the Command key as Ctrl, So I'm unable to Cmd+V the clipboard into the jdownloader session Since "Screen Sharing" is the inbuilt MacOS VNC client, wonder if that will pass keyboard shortcuts through properly? How would I set a password to give the native client a go?
-
I must be missing a step. I'm trying to use the inbuilt MacOS VNC Client (Screen Sharing) to connect to my jDownloader docker. I found a post in this thread mentioning to create a new variable on the container exposing port 5900. I've done that. But I still can't connect to it. I input my [IP]:[PORT] into the VNC Client, and go Connect. Then I'm prompted for a password. I've set none, so I just leave this blank and click Sign In, and then it just hangs at "connecting" for ages, and nothing happens. I'm at a loss š¤·āāļø

never did find a solution š i'm about to change over all my fans, and add a bunch more, so figured i'd just worry about it when i do that lol

is there a way to use this plug to automatically reapply a split level for a share. so i can find a way to say select a tv show, and then move that to a single disk. but what if it wanted to shuffle all tv shows so that each shows seasons are huddled together single disks? but all shows are distributed evenly (as close as they're able that is) across the array.

Iāve running a SuperMicro X11SCA-F, and Iāve installed this plugin, but none of the sensors show in the dashboard. Only one that shows is one HDD temp sensor. Under the settings Iāve selected Motherboard = Supermicro, and Model = X11. Am I missing something else? Perhaps in the config to map the sensors?

Amazing. Iāll admit, I only scanned through maybe half the previous pages š¤¦āāļø Incredible work! Cool, thanks. Iāll check it out š

Love these icons Iād like to throw one in for consideration. The Fractal Design Meshify 2. I know the Define series is pretty popular among basic home server builders, but I suspect the Meshify, now that its literally the Define with a Meshify front for better cooling, will become the new favourite. https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/meshify/meshify-2/ Icon wise, I think something from this perspective would do it justice (perhaps slightly higher so the front panel could be visible?). The Meshify has a pretty distinctive front mesh panel, so ultimately I believe the trick will be getting that part right to present something clearly Meshify. PS. Out of curiosity, how do you do these? Iād be interested in perhaps giving some a shot.

Iām about to pick up this board, a Xeon E-2226G, and a LSI 9300-8i HBA card. No dGPU. Plan is to use the iGPU with Plex/Emby for Hardware Transcoding. And since the my box is going to be headless, in a tech closet, itās not going to be easy to access for maintenance, so needed a way to access BIOS settings and boot options (power on/off, etc.). So figure thatās IPMI. Iām reasonably tech savy, but havenāt build a PC in probably 10 years, so must admit, got a little lost following the thread above. Will I able to achieve what I want with this setup? Note: I chose this board specifically because I wanted a C246 chipset, DDR4-2666 support, IPMI and 2 x M.2.

Iāve been planning a new NAS (replacing a Synology unit), and was toying between TrueNAS and Unraid. TrueNAS was very appealing at first, due to ZFS. As mentioned above, it looks very shinny to new users as it looks like it can do no wrong. All this talk of bit rot scares me. Some people are 100% āitās real, protect your shit or definitely loose itā. Then Iām all panicked, and change my mind to TrueNAS. But then I read otherās counter posts, and theyāre all āitās not really a thing on modern hardware, get ECC RAM, stop panicking, and call it a dayā. Both camps make good points š¤·āāļø. This is why I got out of PC gaming and brought an Xbox a decade ago. Tech can be so opinion based sometimes lol š¤¦āāļø. Ultimately though, I believe Iāve settled on Unraid. Iām so over āmanagingā the tech in my house, and Unraid sounds stupid simple to use. I just want to power something on, boot up plex/emby, and let it do itās thing. The last two NASās Iāve had over the last 8 years have been synology units, and I literally probably logged into their respective GUIās maybe half dozen times between them. Mmm, I do think about that sweet ZFS though š¤. Was considering running this plugin to get the best of both worlds. I wonder what Unraid official support will look like though? How will it work? And is it worth just waiting for that? Think thatāll literally just copy this plugin into installer, and call it āofficially supportedā now? Or do we think itāll be implemented another way. Not sure theyāve mentioned how theyāll support it, only that theyāre looking at it hey?

Iāve been eyeing off a similar setup. E-2378G with that SuperMicro C256 board. ASRock Rack have a similar board that looked comparable (the E3C256D4U-2L2T). Was leaning towards the ASRock for the 10G ethernet. I would be interested to hear if anyone else using Unraid has build with E23xx Xeons or C25x chipsets yet?
-
Cool. Soundās like, even mostly assuming worst cases, unraid will still meets my requirements. Iād need a perfect storm of negative circumstances at the same time to start getting stuttering in the volume of streams Iād concurrently have running (likely 4 tops, because 4 TVs, 2 of which at 1080p anyway, but planning to upgrade them to 4K at some point). Thanks. That sets my mind at ease.
-
So I could be considering 100MB/s as my average? Anything above is bonus of circumstance. Which next bottleneck in throughput I guess is the gigabit Ethernet thatād top out at 125MB/s? Looking at that remux as an example, on the inner track, I can be able to theoretically direct play 5 play movies tops (all remuxās)? Of course this assumes inner track, all 5 movies on the same drive, all about 100GB each (they seem to vary from 60-100 depending on release year). Likely Iād be able to achieve higher, because the likelihood of only hitting movies on the same drive, in a 6 drive storage volume, would be pretty low.
-
Iād be great if there was a calculator, where you could punch in some rough specs, and it estimates where you potential bottleneck is, and max read/write (obviously based on theoretical maxās, but still would be great to show āhey, look at your drivesā or ālook at your nicā).
-
Iām trying to do some math on potential Unraid build, and where my bottlenecks my be. Currently I run a DS1019, with 5 x 14TB WD Red Pros in RAID 6. Single gigabit connection to the network. On this I can comfortably run, direct play, through Plex a 4K HDR BluRay REMUX (~100GB file), and even a few 1080p direct play streams (smaller ~15TB files) same time. All clients are AppleTV 4Kās. Looking at Unraid, Iām aware this isnāt RAID, so is limited in ways by single drive performance. Assuming all WD Red Pro drives, and ignoring improvement to write performance with an NVMe/SSD cache pool. What would be theoretical/approximate real world read/write rate be? So far I got: 4K BluRay has a bitrate of up to 144 Mb/s WD Red Proās are SATA 6Gb/s. So 6000Mb/s? (product page says say up to 255MB/s?) My internet is 250/100 (Iām using this to gauge download speeds from SAB to the storage). Ethernet server to ATV is 1Gb/s. Iām trying to gauge if I can say be downloading something to the array at my max internet speed, whilst reading a 4K remux from the exact same drive in the array (obviously download would go to cache, but trying to gauge worst case)?

Did I post something and forgot? This is exactly my situation and setup, DS1019 though, but all the other hardware is identical, and Iāve been googling for a month trying to find a rack mount solution to upgrade my the Synology to. Was chasing something with 12 bays, and enough room inside for a mATX board, Xeon 10core CPU, 128GB RAM, and possible a GPU, something like a P2000 maybe. But that proved impossible. Literally impossible. So I thought about it more, and realised 8 bay would probably do. Thatāll double my usable storage over the Synology, and thatāll be plenty to get me through the next couple years, at which point I planned to move house, where Iāll have more room to install a proper 600mm deep rack. Hasnāt improved things though. Still very tough. Closest Iāve found was a UNAS or Silverstone case. But case though, no rack mount. The UNAS might fight. Silverstone a bit tall. Utterly lost atm. So if you find a solution, Iād be keen.
