  1. I've passed through my 5060ti to a windows 11 VM. the issue im having is that if i start the VM with a display connected all i get is a black screen where as if i start it with the display disconnected and then plug it in i get the image. has anyone else had this issue? is there a fix for this or am i stuck unplugging and replugging everytime i need to restart the VM?
  2. for those with a similar issue, i have solved my problem. it turned out to be a setting in the bios that was causing an issue with the iommu. https://www.reddit.com/r/VFIO/comments/1gi95zf/rejecting_configuring_the_device_without_a_11/ my motherboard is a Gigabyte A620I AX running a 9800X3D
  3. Hey all, Im having trouble passing through my GPU to a windows 11 VM. its a 5060TI. ive already bound them to vfio at boot. this is the error i am getting. internal error: QEMU unexpectedly closed the monitor (vm='Windows 11'): 2026-02-27T04:39:25.438078Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device {"driver":"vfio-pci","host":"0000:01:00.0","id":"hostdev0","bus":"pci.4","addr":"0x0"}: vfio 0000:01:00.0: failed to setup container for group 12: Failed to set group container: Invalid argument
  4. Hi All, Having trouble passing through my 5060TI to a windows vm. ive tried binding to vfio at boot and setting acs override to both and neither have worked. Please see below error. any help is greatly appreciated. internal error: QEMU unexpectedly closed the monitor (vm='Windows 11'): 2026-02-27T04:39:25.438078Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device {"driver":"vfio-pci","host":"0000:01:00.0","id":"hostdev0","bus":"pci.4","addr":"0x0"}: vfio 0000:01:00.0: failed to setup container for group 12: Failed to set group container: Invalid argument
  5. This has fixed the issue. Thank you!
  6. Sorry for the late reply. Yes it was still in the system. Turns out that the later model Hauppauge cards were 2 duo USB cards attached to a pcie USB hub. I was looking for the tuner card and not the USB hub.
  7. Hi all, I've just build a new PC to run unraid and I can't seem to get it to boot. I've got a gigabyte a620i ax motherboard with a 9800x3d and a 5060ti. I've been able to get it to boot into windows fine but when I try to boot from the unraid USB it just hangs on the gigabyte screen. I've tried disabling secure boot and csm and nothing happens. It is detecting the USB as UEFI. I've also tried 3 different USB sticks. Any help would be much appreciated
  8. thanks for your reply. Diagnostics attached apollo-diagnostics-20251224-1936.zip
  9. Hi All, For a couple of years i have had a Hauppauge QuadHD 1x PCIe card passed though to a windows VM. I recently deleted the vm and went to rebuild it from scratch only to find the card is not showing up in system devices and not in the VM menu either. Ive tested the card in another system and it is good. I have also tested another device in the same PCIe slot that it was in and unriad detected that (GT730). Has anyone else had PCIe devices that dont show up? How can i fix this?
