  1. I'm going to give it another day to see if I can figure out how to make things work again. If I can't, I'm going to look into how I can rollback DelugeVPN as you have I am hoping a nights sleep will help me pull together and understand what I have been reading this forum.
  2. Thanks for the idea, Squid. Sonarr (which is a pretty recent addition to my environment) was set for a quality update. But it did not affect other files in the folder or indicated it was downloading anything (history or otherwise). There is nothing in my "incomplete" folder for deluge (I followed SpaceInvader's video) that isn't expected. I'll do a deeper dive in Sonarr's logs in case there is a hint it might be related. Do note that I have seen this issue on occasion before I put Sonarr on and even on previous OS versions. Thanks again...
  3. Occasionally I come across files that are missing from my uNraid file system. This seems to be happening randomly with files that were on the server for months or years. I recently had several episodes of a TV show disappear from the Season folder. I had watched those very episodes (and several before) a few months ago so I know they were really there. I have both Plex and Emby running but long ago I disabled the ability to delete files after having something like this happen a few years ago and suspecting it might be them. I also remember this was supposed to be a problem with a Plugin that was supposed to clean up old programs and removed that from my system long ago. I am going to be start a parity check shortly as I am due. I had thought this problem was gone a while ago but realize I may just not have noticed those (and maybe other) files missing because I was not looking for them. My searches on the forum didn't show any smoking guns or anything I found to check beyond the obvious. I have attached my log just in case there is an obvious (to you more informed people) indicator. Any assistance appreciated. Thank you tower1-diagnostics-20201001-1420.zip
  4. I agree with you about their site. I did try reading that first before I asked. I had deleted my question ( I began to think it was a bad one) but I am glad you had already been responding to it. Interesting info about non significant changes in connections.
  5. Thanks for responding and the good info. I agree with you about the security aspect. It was one of the other things that appealed to me. I like the idea of waiting a little bit for the Synclounge Docker container. I'm not that savvy and definitely would appreciate regular maintenance as a plus. I'll think on it. it may be fun to do yours as an exercise. Thanks again!
  6. The Synclounge Docker looks interesting. Is the performance much improved over using the https://synclounge.tv/? I have found that pretty unusable with my friends for months now. I'm thinking this may be a good project to tackle as it also involves other things I am curious about. Thanks
  7. Thanks again, Cessquill This lead to me making several changes including dropping Transmission and moving to Binhex's Deluge. This also addressed the issue of files not moving properly. I'm pretty happy so far. I'm still playing with some of the options to fine tune things. But overall I am happy. 👏
  8. Of course my VPN is not listed 😂 ...but I'll figure out how to use the "custom." I'll see if I can mimic my Transmission Docker settings in any way. Thanks again.
  9. Ugh! I watched several of his videos and didn't even notice this. From the title this looks like what i want. I didn't want to VPN the whole sever. Thanks.
  10. Hi, People I've tried this program on my windows box to test and I like it. I figure moving it to a Docker container will be even better and allow it to automatically move files for me without fuss. I want to put run it from a Docker but I want to have it perform its searches from my VPN . I have a Docker Torrent Downloader and it gave me options to setup my VPN account in there. I see know way to do that in RADARR. Thanks...
  11. Thank you. I think I overthought this... especially as I had mirroring going on. I'v unassigned and pulled out the questionable cache drives and put in the new ones. Now I'll see if the CA/Backup and restore makes the rest painless (fingers crossed).
  12. Hello. I'm having trouble locating how you can split a cache pool. I need to know because it looks like both may be failing (definitely one). I want to replace them with one larger drive SSD. I believe I understand how to replace a cache drive under normal circumstances. I am not seeing directions under this circumstance. Maybe my search criteria is off? I have also checked the uNraid wiki. I have already backed up my data using CA Backup / Restore Appdata so I am just waiting on those directions. tx
  13. Thank you, trul and remotevistor I'll keep the settings per your recommendations (trul) I'll also get compressed air and blow out my internals (remotevistor). Have a great day!
  14. Hey, Constructor. I've switched back to Celsius for a comparison the forum is more used to per your direction. I guess I became especially sensitive because I've seen the "burn" message a few times in the past also. I have not seen the burn message for a few months now. If I've got the comparison right 100 Fahrenheit is roughly 37 degrees Celsius (if you look at my first snapshots). THANK YOU!
  15. Hello, All *Thanks in advance* I am seeing high temperatures on my uNRAID server, which I bought from the uNRAID team, that I don't believe are good. I'm seeing temperatures of 70 degrees F to 100 degrees. I'm seeing an average of 80 to 90 degrees a lot. Especially on the SSD drive. I don't recall any high temps before except when I was running my server during a heat wave. This has actually been going on a while and I had hoped that it might self correct with the last few updates I did. I just now updated to 6.6.6. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not hardware savvy and would hate to have to buy a new server again as I --- frankly--- can't afford to do that again. System info: uNRAID 6.6.6 I did do a search of the forum but only came up with one item. Which is weird as I am sure I saw another topic a few months ago when I did an unrelated search. Thank you!
  16. Trying to fix a server on only a couple of hours sleep after driving for HOURS was clearly a bad idea. I think I have now processed all I read yesterday. I believe there is no physical issues with the drive and will try recreating the Docker image after the system finishes a parity check (I accidentally, killed power last night). Next time I'll sleep first and try to fix later. I'll update the forum
  17. Hello, Everyone After coming back from a few days away I turned on my server and ran into issues. The first sign of something weird was 3 of my Docker's prompted for upgrades and my 4th one was not visible at all. Only one allowed an upgrade. When I tried to access my Emby Docker it gave me a login prompt but would not let me in with the correct password. None of the Docker's would work. When I started my VM got a BSOD with "Your PC/Device needs to be paired. File:\Boot\BCD Error code 0xc0000034." I went to my console and noticed BTFRS errors. Here is where I made the #1 mistake and rebooted. TWICE! (I had not read how to get support first which tells you not to do this). Now the Docker menu option won't show me any of the Docker files as if they NEVER existed. I ran the Fix Common problems including the extended option. I believe the issue is with my Cache drive (I'm not the greatest at reading these logs). I have a 2nd Cache drive in my uNraid server and thought I had set it up correctly so it could be a backup on the case of failure. Clearly I have not. I am able to access drives via the network from my window computer just fine. Including the Cache drive (which makes me think I am wrong). I was able to run a video file that had not moved been moved with Mover yet. I was also able to access an XML file from my Emby Docker. Any advice? I was tempted run a Parity check, but don't want to make things even worse. I did reseat the cache drive. I am also looking into this BTFRS scrub stuff and have been trying to decipher some other stuff from the forum. I may be making this harder than it is because I have been awake so many hours traveling. I have pasted an excerpt from my syslog but I have also attached the diagnostics info. Let me also add that this is a Lime Tech server which they stopped selling about two years ago. 18. Yoshiofthewire What you are doing here is making me consider investing in the HDHomeRun DVR software (I own the hardware). I have been using NextPVR with ZaptXML and a Win10 VM. The idea of a simple Docker (compared to the others I've seen )solution that eliminates the need for a VM is very appealing to me (Even with the DVR fee). I will keep an eye on your good work here.
  19. Thanks for the feedback, garycase I phrased that badly. I was wondering if one might get an extra benefit using these for parity over array or vice versa. You've answered my question. A great all around drive wherever I place it. You are making me think I should have gotten a third :-)... Thanks again.. Not sure what you mean by "better" => clearly you need to have an 8TB parity drive to consider using one of these in the array ... but once you have these installed as parity drives they also make EXCELLENT array drives. The 8TB Reds are basically less expensive versions of the superb HGST Ultrastar helium-sealed drives [ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145969 ]. About the only notable difference is that the Reds run at a lower rpm ... which also means they use a bit less power and run cooler. I've got 5 of these drives, and am VERY happy with them. ... thinking of buying a couple more at this price [Although I have no need for them at this time]
  20. Hey, Wltm. I went in for two. I may use both as dual parity drives (once I stop being chicken and upgrade to 6.2). I'll then take the drive that is freed up and use it as a dedicated DVR and Audio drive. I don't see the benefit of those type of files being spread across my array. Oh, if anyone knows of a reason these drives are better for the array than the parity drive do let me know. Thank You!
  21. My thanks to the people who helped you put this all together. Great job all the way around. Thanks. I completely have up on help text which is what other authors use as there was just too much going on. And since damn near everything on the screen will do something if you click on it needed something else Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk
  22. Hello, Biased! I installed it. I really like how this was designed. Especially the fact that a guide, not just a pointer to a forum, is available. I learn interesting stuff in a forum, but it tends to be overwhelming when you have to use one as a user guide (especially after a few pages). Your guide quickly answered questions I was confused by. I hope more people to do so. Let me also add how much I appreciate the general effort people are making in putting newbie friendly descriptions to the applications. Good job all around Thank You!
  23. Hello, People Is there any wisdom around moving to Community Applications before or after upgrading to 6.2? Does it even matter? Up until now I have been using the traditional Docker pointers to repositories like SparklyBalls. I plan to start using some of the less conservative containers and was figuring it was a good tome to start using CAs to do it. Thank You
  24. Thank you both for all the information. One of the things I ask myself when going through the "Good Deals" section is "Is this a good deal for use with uNRAID or for other use?" I know I should not throw just any old drive in... though many can be used. I usually do a search through the forum to see what real world use is going on (though I missed this one entirely. I must have searched only on model number or something). Cheers...
  25. Thanks for that link. I'll read it shortly. Let me add a review of the drive I found: http://www.storagereview.com/seagate_archive_hdd_review_8tb Archive drives are best used for data that does not change. An archive is written once, and never changed, not updated or deleted. A large amount of the data on most unRAID installation is media which is not being changed, updated, or even deleted. This is a good match. Image backups which are updated weekly/monthly are less of a match. The results of testing and user experience here conclude the opposite. These drives work well even as parity disks. I personally plan to run one as parity and one as a storage disk in my array until the new non-shingled Seagates come out in the coming months. Then I'll move the parity disk to the array and replace it with the new Seagate.
