I agree. Certainly plugins, customizations and applications can be combined. Maybe prefix each entry with [plugin], [customization] or [application] or simply have separate sub forums for plugins, applications etc. I would arrange forums categories from the top, 1) Company 2) Support 3) Version 5 Development <--- rename it "unRAID Development" 4) Server Building 5) unRAID Marketplace 6) Older Releases renamed from Version 4.X Support 7) Off Topic Just my 2.5 cents. What is the easiest way to backup to a external hard drive from unRAID? What file format to use? I also have an iMac. Kryspy *Nevermind....... bit torrent sync seems like a good fit for me at the moment

So, I took ubuntu server for a spin and it causes way too many headaches in the longrun. If I use unRAID again and my drives have been previously precleared but are no wformatted with ext4 do I need to preclear them again? Kryspy

When using this I get "Cannot Find Plex Server" error. I assume this is due to the drives being spun down and the PlexConnect is timing out before the drives are online. Exiting and pressing select again solves the issue. Is there a setting where I can increase the timeout amount? Kryspy

Nothing in a GO script works for me either for this. Any chance it is trying to start before python is fully installed? What can we put in our GO script to have it wait say 1 minute prior to install ? Kryspy

I don't want to be an ass or anything but trying to iron out a speed bug for one or two people is ridiculous. If the chipset works with better write speeds now or even with the 4 GB limit then lets call this puppy final and move on. Anyone who isn't happy (1 or 2) should be given the option of a refund and let's just move forward. Sweet jesus I am running unRAID on a at least 4 year old setup with plenty of plugins and 4 GB of RAM and all is happy in the world. Kryspy

NLS, Hope your precious FlexRAID website doesn't get defaced. What excuse will you use then to defend Brahim? It's only a website and really has nothing to do with the quality of teh unRAID product. I use unRAID without issue as intended and even beyond that. Do us a favour and truly move along. Kryspy

Hi, What is the best way to backup unRAID. I have a 1.5 TB hard drive in an enclosure hooked up to my iMac. What I am looking for is a way to file backup certain shares. I prefer file level backups so I can physically see the files not a back up chunk. Kryspy

Did you make sure that you enabled AFP in each of your shares as well? If so make sure you made them public and not hidden. Kryspy
