  4. Yes, looks like a good option. Could have no symbol at all for no disk present ? No disk, no symbol. Kryspy
  5. We know there are other ways. Just providing feedback. In the default ui it is obvious Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. I actually like the blinking action in the default GUI. Kryspy
  7. Is there a way to change the disk active light colours? I ask this because I am confused to as why dark green is active and a brighter green which to me mean s active means inactive? Kryspy
  8. Any updates to getting your unRaid shares into the VM? I too need to run Plex. Currently have a AMD dual core Athlon II e series 2.9 Ghz and 4 GB of Ram. Kryspy
  9. Yeah I may dive into a Ubuntu VM. Its what I'm used to. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I totally have a cache drive. Using it for apps as we speak. No matter, once I finish moving files to my server I think I may jump to unRaid 6 anyways and setup my shares before making any modification on webui and whatnot. Never happened in the past so I may chalk it up as a glitch. Kryspy
  11. Only option under included disk is "All". Checking off to exclude all disk doesn't fix it either. No matter what it creates the share on disk1. Kryspy
  12. I don't seem to be able to create a cache only share using Dynamix. If I select "only" under cache the share doesn't save. Kryspy
  13. Thank you for all the answers. Never new about the ALT toggle for terminal. Learn something or two everyday. Kryspy
  14. Is it possible to clear disks from the login? I share a iMac with my wife so it inconveniences her I know I could install screen but was looking for a quick and easy. Kryspy
  15. Say I install a ubuntu VM. Do I simply just install the apps I need and then it automagically saves to the img file ? Kryspy
  16. Looks really interesting. I see there is a docker applet to install a docker framework for Synology NAS. I too think docker would be a perfect fit for unRAID. As I am currently using a full blown Ubuntu server watching where unRAID goes I fail to see where it would be a huge benefit in my install. Kryspy
  17. I gotta agree with Grumpy. No one cares what a plugin is comprised of. Best case scenario would be the way OMV and Nas4Free do it and Synology. Plugins installing via one click from an installed repo. Personally, until that happens I see no use in coming back to unRAID. Ubuntu is far more flexible as is. unRAID as a storage solution only is stable and solid but near dead to anyone looking for something more in it's current configuration. Kryspy
  18. Check out VoIP.ms. I have it set up on my Nexus 5 as well, When I place a call it gives me the option of how Id like to call. My Nexus 7 has become a bit of a glorified reader now. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  19. DaleWilliams, I bought a Nexus 5 no contract. $349 is a decent price. Now they've released a Moto G or something like that for even less. Kryspy
  20. Doesn't need a new name just an explaination. In the downloads section........ 1) unRAID standalone NAS - Classic unRAID configuration installable to a flash drive 2) unRAID installable - Add to any supported Linux distribution via _________________________. Kryspy
  21. This is my setup. 2.5 years and counting. 37 channels. Kryspy Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

    Bittorent Sync

    Works great. See ......http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=27542.0 Kryspy
  23. Experience is great. I install most things in CLI but you could do it through webmin. I have PLEX, Transmission, Subsonic, BT Torrentsync, Handbrake, snapRAID etc installed. So you could jump in with a setup like mine and add unRAID after the dust has settled as to what the final Extreme product becomes. Kryspy
  24. You can run the sync command hourly f you like. My cron script does it nightly at 3am. You can have up to 6 parity drives. Pefrmance is faster than unRAID. Ubuntu server s easy. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
