  1. I but the old 1,5TB drive back. Drive 12 is still inside.
  2. Dec 18 00:31:36 Tower kernel: md: disk12 read error, sector=1953531120 I had over 1000 errors during the rebuilt in the logfile.
  3. Hello, I upgraded a 1,5TB disk to a 4TB disk. During the rebuilt of the array another disk crashed. I tried to put the old 1,5TB disk back (which was fine). unRaid now reports "The replacement disk must be as big or bigger than the original." Is there a way to trust the old parity and use the new 4TB for the failing 2TB drive? Bye.
  4. It refers to this post: Point 10: 10 - Now is the good time to move the files in the "t" directory to the root on [dest]. I do this with cut and paste from Windows explorer. Also I changed the disk#. That was a mistake by me in the first post. I use user shares. I can't access the discs directly from my windows 10 machine. So I would like to use 'mv' to move the files.
  5. I'm just running rsync (point 8). After that I want to move the files out of the 't' directory. I don't do much from the command line but that should also do the trick? mv /mnt/disk17/t/* /mnt/disk17/ That should move all the user share folders under 't' like?: \Backup \Music \Video
  6. Unfortunately, not. When you sign up for an account you have your "User Key" directly listed in your app (android here). There is no "app token". It is only mention in connection to developing an app for pushover. Also you can not test it without the "app token" in unraid because it is a required field. Would be great to have a comment from somebody who is actually using it. Nevertheless the dialog should be changed in the unraid gui....at least the link which is shown using the help function. I also checked the homepage and my user account...nothing new there also. You create your own app in your account for pushover. Call it "unRAID" and you will get an app token to enter into the notification field. That's it. Thank you.

  8. Turn on Help and relevant links are shown and clickable on the Notification Agents page. Thank you. Never used this great help function. However: This leads you to this page: https://pushover.net/apps I'm not a developer and all I see is a list of apps. How does this bring me closer to the app token?;-)
  9. If it is anything like Pushbullet, then you have to get it from your Pushover account. I login to the pushbullet website and go to my account settings. Maybe pushover is similar. Switched to pushbullet. Works great.
  10. Hi, I'm trying to add notifications via Pushover. The user key is provided by pushover. Where can I find the "App token"? Bye.
  11. Thanks for your help. I tried that and it didn't help. Maybe it is something in combination with the SATA controllers or backplanes I'm using. I don't now. I think I will stop investigating this problem for a while and try again when an update is available for unraid. Bye.
  12. I don't think I saw whether you made sure your network chipset supports it, and has the g flag turned on. Have a look at this older wiki page, perhaps something will help you. So I tried a few more things: - Used a different NIC (deactivated the onboard NIC) - Installed a fresh copy of unraid together with the S3 plugin (only). The result is the same. After sending the magic packet the system boots up but does not fully awake. For example...the onboard video cart does not show a picture when I connect the server to my TV. Any other ideas? Bye.
  13. I don't think I saw whether you made sure your network chipset supports it, and has the g flag turned on. Have a look at this older wiki page, perhaps something will help you. Yes...this flag was activated from the start. However I found a thread with a user with the same board and he had the exact problem I have. Turns out, that this is a problem caused by the realtek NIC. I purchased an intel NIC he recommended. It should be here by tomorrow. I will try again and report back. BTW: The bios has only one setting for wake on lan to work. I activated that. Bye.
  14. I tried a few things. Nothing would make the array available after sending the magic packet. It seems to me like a bug in this beta version. This could be difficult or impossible to fix. I will try it again in the next release of unRAID. Maybe it will work then.
  15. As a starter I would give the system a fixed IP address, don't use DHCP. Waking-up must be properly supported by the BIOS of your motherboard, do you have the latest BIOS version installed ? I use a different motherboard from ASrock, and have no issues, so I suppose yours should be in the same league... The dhcp server on my router assigns always the same ip addresses to my devices. I deactivated dhcp on many devices (where I could). At least the server shows in the list of connected devices on my router. The result is still the same. I can not access the server via gui or telnet. A ping works. My network.cfg: # Generated settings: USE_DHCP="no" IPADDR="192.168.1.10" NETMASK="255.255.255.0" GATEWAY="192.168.1.1" DHCP_KEEPRESOLV="no" DNS_SERVER1="" DNS_SERVER2="" DNS_SERVER3="" BONDING="no" BONDING_MODE="1" BRIDGING="no" BRNAME="br0" BRSTP="yes" I changed USE_DHCP="yes" to "no" Bye.
  16. Hi, I installed the S3 plugin and it works fine so far. I can put my system to sleep from the gui and sending the "magic packet" from my router awakes the server. Unfortunately I can't access the server anymore after that. I can't reach the gui or dial in via telnet. I haven't changed the plugin settings but I tried "DHCP renewal after wake-up: YES" and "Force gigabit speed after wake-up: YES". Which changed nothing. Any ideas on how to solve this? Bye.

Thanks. I will see if problems occur during operation (mainly streaming to my popcorn hour). If I discover something like that I will re-open this thread. BTW: Happy new year.
  18. Hello, using the latest beta I have got a lot of dropped packets on my unRAID server. I already changed the cables. That changed nothing. What can I test to find out what's wrong? Bye.
  19. Hi! Okay...is there a tutorial for that (beta10)? Bye.
  20. Hi! Is there any further explantion to get S3 working on an unRAID-Server (beta10)? I activated S3 on my Supermicro-Board. "ethtool" shows this: == Cut === Supported ports: [ TP ] Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full Supports auto-negotiation: Yes Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full Advertised pause frame use: Symmetric Receive-only Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes Speed: 1000Mb/s Duplex: Full Port: Twisted Pair PHYAD: 0 Transceiver: internal Auto-negotiation: on MDI-X: Unknown Supports Wake-on: pumbg Wake-on: g Current message level: 0x00000033 (51) Link detected: yes === Cut === My idea is to send the server to sleep automatically, when there is no traffic to the IP of the unRAID-Server for a certain time (e.g. 2 hours). When I try to access the system the array should start automatically again. Is there any tutorial in which is described who to do this? Or is this even possible? Bye.
