Hi How do I set the dashboard to show three columns instead of two and also keep the arrangement . Even when I re-arrange the panes and lock them it just reverts back again next time I open the browser?

Hello Yes thanks I've now done this. I am running in Safe mode and can see all dockers but no apps. I dont want to restart in case it auto shuts down .I'm hoping an expert can look at the diagnostics I posted and see what it is preventing booting in normal mode..

Hi again and thanks for your patience and contined help with this. I've now swapped over the config files to the working backup and rebooted. What worked before now fails after login with 90second shutdown. Something in the config must be causing this but Ive no clues as to what. I've booted up in safe mode and downloaded diagnostics here in the hope there is something an expert can see. If not what else can I try? After many attempts I got unraid to boot using the Samsung flash drive with an old flash backup created two months ago. Unfortunately my drives have changed since then and so have my apps and dockers. I don't know how zI can get back to where I was at with my most recent config but I did find another flash backup of more recent date.I tried flashing that and unraid starts booting okay but then after 90 seconds shuts down. Is there any way I can load the config files from that backup onto the one that's working?

I've been using the Unraid Creator tool to create the flash drive from the backup. (A brand new Samsung flash drive) Why do I need to change BIOS settings when the server has been working perfectly until the flash drive failure. I've now tried everything I know to get this to boot. Been into the BIOS and changed Secure boot etc. but it still wont boot at all . I'm pretty to new to Unraid so this is a VERY steep learning curve for something that should be a straightforward forward fix. Have I now lost my licence because I cant start this server? How xccan I proceed please. I'm at my wits end with this .

Just tried with a brand new usb still wont boot.

My unraid flash drive wont boot after a power outage. I tried using backup from the Unraid Connect but it fails and wont boot at all. Should I be doing something to make it bootable? I also tried a backup from the CA backup app but that just wont copy the zip to the flash drive due to file size difference? So I am totally stuck how to proceed. How do I get my server back working? What other options do I have to get this back up.?

Thanks. I actually had slash at the end of each path but that created a new folder called "movies" within the destination folder!

I'm trying to sync two shares on separate Unraid servers but am getting lost in the different ways to do it. Each way appears to be problematic. I tried rsync using the main server to mount the backup server folder as SMB share but It fails, and because I'm still pretty new to Unraid I don't understand why. My rsync command is rsync -avhP --delete "/mnt/user/data/media/movies" "/mnt/remotes/server_movies" but rsync errors with 32 Not enough space on drive, yet I have 8tb free? I thought rsync would see that files already exist on the backup and just skip them but it appears to be trying to create a whole new directory which would be bigger the the 8TB free space. Is there a way to make rsync actually sync and not duplicate stuff already on the drive? I realise I may be totally misunderstanding the concept here but I am new to this. I managed to setup Luckyback plugin but that is so slow it would take weeks to copy the 14TB of data I want to backup. I then tried adding a USB drive to Unraid which already holds much of the 15tb of data but is USB 3 going to be faster than rsync or rsync via Luckybackup. Any help and explanation of the best way forward apprciated.

I plugged in a USB drive to my Unraid 7. 0.1 with Unassigned Devices installed and set to automount but Unraid doesn't recognise the USB is connected? What can I do? The USB is seen okay in windows. New to Unraid so learning . Have set up a second serrver as backup and I want it to sleep when not in use. Installed S3 sleep plugin . Server will go to sleep but wont wake via a WOL . Board supports all sleep states . Reinstalled plugin and now see the SLEEP button doesn't show on main page. Diagnosics attached. Help please. box-diagnostics-20250218-0924.zip

Found the answer to this. Didn't need the script after all. Just set the custom tab to "type" to be URL (open in same tab) and the url of the second server.

I just setup another Unraid 7 server and wanted to be able to set a Custom Tab on the dashboard of my main server using the Custom Tabs plugin and a script from Spaceinvaderone. After I set this up and click on the new menu option for my second server it says connection refused. Do I need to do something else to connect to the new server.? Both are on the same LAN.

I just created a new server on a trial key with Unraid 7 fresh flash drive. Created my array and when I go to shares there is nothing. No predefined at all. Am I missing something? box-diagnostics-20250213-1701.zip

Can anybody please help with this problem. I'm completely lost in how to fix this issue . I've read so many posts I'm completely confused. How do I remove this unmountable drive so i can add a new drive in its place. Whatever I've tried each time I mount it it comes back as unmountable device contents emulated. I'm at the stage where I want to start all over if I cant get rid of this emulated status and rebuild everything but obviously my preference will be to keep the data on all other drives if possible. Can anyone please recommend how I should proceed.

Disc failed and can't be read unfortunately. I have all the data on the array backed up elsewhere but was hoping I didn't have to do a complete re-install. What would be the best way forward i.e how do I get rid the of unmountable disc status and start the array and can I then copy over from backups anything that's missing on the array. Is that possible?

Thanks, I'm checking the file system now but a bit unsure if I'm doing it correctly. I mounted the drive in maintenance mode and started xfs-repair without options, currently still saying: Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... bad primary superblock - bad magic number !!! attempting to find secondary superblock............................................................ That's been like like for ages. Just looking for reassurance I'm doing things right ?

I've just completed a parity swap with a new drive and the parity drive has been put into the slot of the old smaller disk that was being emulated. I started data rebuild and see the the disk is reported as unmountable? Is this normal ,should I leave it to rebuild? I'm not sure how to proceed so as this is my first Unraid server and I'm learning as I go but keep encountering issues. tower-diagnostics-20250122-0819.zip

I just installed a new 10tb hdd which is the same size as my parity disk. Running on Unraid 6.12.14 the new disk has been added but I cant start the array because I get a "parity disk is not the biggest" warning and no option to start the array. I'm a bit stuck how to proceed now. The new disk is a replacement for a smaller disk that was being emulated. Hope someone can explain what I can do please?
