  1. Same issue with cachedirs here. Attaching my diagnostics. tuerke-diagnostics-20180913-2047.zip
  2. Sorry for posting wrong. This should be the right place...
  3. Same here. Service is always "stopped" when server comes up.
  4. 9207 is an HBA, that means, sold in IT mode. The download page suggests it can be flashed to IR mode though. The equivalent card in IR mode is obviously called 9217 \firmware\HBA_9217_4i4e_IR\9217-4i4e.bin
  5. The correct syntax, according to the manual, is: -o -sasadd 12344567890
  6. Hi @Oldtimer, welcome to the unRAID forums. See this post.
  7. Yes, it is working or Yes, it is not working? Have you already found this?
  8. A file server is typically very efficient. Power (wattage) is not the main criterion when selecting the PS. It's the inrush current that has to be supplied at start-up. The PS delivers ~25A on the 12V rail. Luckily it's a single rail PS! Now assume 5A for Board and things. Remaining 20A/8 drives = 2.5A / drive The WD red is rated at 1,75A peak current. So your PS is sufficient. You might even go up to 10 drives. Also consider the PSU thread for information.
  9. This card is a plain HBA. Firmware is available in that place and instructions should be there also, if you need more assistance, feel free to ask.
  10. While the guide is valid, the files are probably outdated. Either grab them from the Broadcom site (look for P20.00.07.00) or grab the Dell Perc H310 package. Read the instructions. The resulting file should indicate the present firmware, maybe you don't even need an update. In case you do, you need only step 5_lsi_P20 and maybe step 6.
  11. Seems you're on the right track. I don't use the controllers with windows, so I don't have specific experience with that issue.
  12. This is a good one! According to the sas2flsh manual it should be sufficient to use SAS2Flash –b the_right.rom Thanks for your feedback!
  13. Maybe you can dump your current flash to file. sas2flsh -o -uflash flashdmp.bin (will take a couple of minutes to finish!)
  14. Yes, should work. 9201-8i is by default a plain HBA (IT mode only). Wipe the current firmware and flash the latest P20.00.07 Basically the same procedure as pepar did.
  15. Yes, the logged file is called finished.txt Glad you got it working. Now enjoy happy hour! ?
  16. Then a file called Adapters.txt should exist in the logs directory. Well, in one of my fist posts I told you to skip those steps. Anyway, if you managed to flash P20 you're fine. Once you flashed the SAS adress you can dump the card info once again with 1.nsh and double check.
  17. The last 6.nsh should have one prefilled. You can use that if you have no other.
  18. fsx: with x being the drive letter of your USB drive. May be e.g. fs0: or fs1: or something else! The "colon" was missing!
  19. Yes, my fault! Sorry FSx: As already mentioned, the files from the toolset are P20.00.07, so overwrite is OK.
  20. If you search the broadcom site for 9205 you will get results SAS9205-8e (external plugs). The corresponding .zip files have no IR firmware inside. That's why I'm concluding, that the SAS9205-8i/e aka HP H220 will not work in IR mode. But, feel free to try the LSI SAS 9217-8i or LSI SAS 9207-8i files. Start with the IT firmware to confirm the right chip and then try the IR firmware.
  21. If this is true, try flashing the firmware of the LSI SAS 9217-8i or LSI SAS 9207-8i, that definitely have the SAS2308 chip. https://www.broadcom.com/products/storage/host-bus-adapters/sas-9217-8i#downloads
  22. Here is says it is a SAS2008 based card. https://www.servethehome.com/lsi-sas-2008-raid-controller-hba-information/ Here it says SAS2308 card. https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/lsi-raid-controller-and-hba-complete-listing-plus-oem-models.599/ Or maybe there are different versions of the H220 card out there (see willglynn-link)? Here we have different reports. https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/flashing-hp-h220-sas-card-to-latest-fw.13057/ Some work with SAS2008 firmware, others do with SAS2308 firmware. Try flashing an IT mode firmware. Does it error with: NVDATA Image does not match Controller Chip Revision Also see here: https://www.willglynn.com/2014/11/10/lsi-sas-firmware-nonsense/ Are there any labels on the PCB? It's all about finding the right chipset at the moment. Nobody want's to flash the card to IR mode in those threads.
  23. Here are the basic commands for EFI shell that you need: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Crossflashing_Controllers#UEFI In EFI shell you can use the .nsh files. (wiki is wrong saying .efi is the extension...) The toolset also has the P20.00.07 files included.
  24. Hi @iwi, welcome to the unRAID forums. My information is that the HP220 is a plain HBA with no other operation mode than IT! The error you encountered also indicates that the necessary hardware (NVSRAM) is missing for IR mode. If you have other intel, please feel free to post here.
