  1. Screen shot of current system setup.
  2. Here's the story from the beginning. Had an 8TB parity that I upgraded to a 20TB a few days ago. This upgrade went fine, No issues afterwards. Upgraded disk 1 from 8TB to 20TB after the parity drive upgrade was successful. Ran into issues from the beginning. Original 8TB drive was in reiserfs, System when I replaced the original drive with the 20TB told me reiserfs had been removed and needed to change file system to XFS. Read how to do that and changed the file system to XFS from reiserfs. System then said disk 1 was unmountable with unknown file system and need to be formatted which I did. After that was done it began the disk rebuild. This took about 1-1/2 days, However during this time my disk 2 went offline and began to show unmountable as well. I did not change anything on this drive. Once the disk rebuild of disk 1 was complete it said it was emulating disk 2. Disk 1 however had no data on it after the rebuild. Disk 2 still was unmountable after reboot. I reboot and now it says it's rebuilding disk 2, However it still shows it as unmountable. The only thing I have changed on any of this system was the file system for disk 1 after it was new and installed. I'm assuming the rebuild is now deleting 8TB worth of data off my disk 2 like it did off of disk 1 as we speak. unraid-diagnostics-20250503-2028.zip
  3. I just upgraded a disk drive with a bigger sized drive. System did a data rebuild for the last day and now that it's complete all data on the drive is gone. I still have the original drive, Can I re-install it to get my data back? Edit: Now I have a second drive doing the same thing, Except it wasnt' replaced. After the rebuild of disk 1 it's now saying disc 2 has an invalid file system and wants me to format it? I will lose everything on this drive too, What is going on with this thing?
  4. Actually I think it means my USB drive is too small for the update. I've only been using a 1GB drive since I created this server 6-7 years ago. I'm going to buy a 16GB tomorrow and copy over the 1GB to the new one and retry the OS update.
  5. Going through the "tools" and "update OS" section of the Unraid menu. This is what it tells me when trying to download and install 6.12.5 or the most recent 6.12.6.
  6. I'm unable to install the most recent OS or previous release, I'm assuming it's because I"m on such an old version. How do I upgrade? Was trying to find a link to 6.12.0 or something to get me close but unable to find older version of the OS on the website.
  7. Great information! Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions!
  8. I recently moved and my current house is no longer hard wired with ethernet ports. I needed to move my unRaid server into a separate office in the house in an area that the hard line for the internet does not come into. I had an older ASUS RT-AC68U that I decided to setup in bridge mode and connect to my server to see if it would work, VERY novice network guy here. It seems to work great after hooking it up to the bridge mode router, Speeds seem great. Anyways here are my questions. 1.) I'm having issues with accessing my Plex server now. If I go into the docker and pull up the webgui it will say either that i'm not authorized to access the server or unRaid is currently unavailable. Now, I can access the server just fine from my laptop and I can send/receive files without issue from my unRaid server. So I know the server is working just fine on that end regarding filesharing. Any suggestions on this? Should I delete and re-install the plex docker? 2.) I don't know much about networking or router setup. I followed the ASUS instructions when setting up the router in bridge mode. Is there any special settings that should or should not be enabled since doing this? One thing I did notice is that even though the server is working, I don't see it or the bridged router on the connected device list of my main router (ASUS AX11000). I was thinking maybe the IP is causing conflicts but unsure how to even find the IP or what would even need to be changed to get plex working again. Any suggestions on this? Thanks for the help.
  9. I'm having some issues that I can't seem to figure out. Long story short, I recently moved and the place on where my WIFI router is can't support my unRaid server. With that being said I had to move the server into a different room down the hallway which does NOT have hardwired ethernet access. To remedy this problem or the hopes off I purchased another router to try and setup as bridge and connect my unRaid server to it. I'm using a ASUS GT-AX11000 as my actual WIFI home router and setup a ASUS RT-AC68U as a bridge and connected it to the 2nd 5Ghz channel as a dedicated. I really don't know anything about networking however after watching a few videos I believe I have it setup and working. The RT-AC68U and the unRaid server are positioned in another room down the hallway and it seems the unRaid server is connected to the network as I can transfer and receive files off the unRaid server without issue. Speeds are excellent and seems good. However, I no longer can access Plex on the unRaid server. I can access the unRaid webgui and when I try to get into the Plex webgui I get the messages shown in the attached pictures. I will either get that I'm not authorized to access the server or it says the server is unreachable. I'm not sure what's going on here, Does anyone have any suggestions??
  10. Thanks for the help, All is good.
  11. Sweet! I'm up and running now, Thank you! In regards to your share question, I have no idea. Back when a guy helped set this up for me 6 or 7 years ago that's the way it was setup. I don't mess with anything as I'm afraid of screwing something up, I'm sure my server is not setup as it should be. I have 11 disk drives on it, And adding one or replacing one is something I at least know how to do without worry regarding data loss. You say mine is setup with disk shares, What is the advantage to "user" shares? I don't have any other reason why it's setup with disk shares. I know that when I fill a drive, I add another one and just create a "movies" folder in the new drive and start saving to it. I'm assuming with "user" shares, You can just setup 1 folder and it will take into account all the drives available to it?
  12. Here is my current settings, Have no clue if this is correct or what some of this stuff even is. You can see at the bottom I added a path to the a Blu Ray movie folder, Which I can't seem to find in Plex GUI when driving to add a drive/folder.
  13. Thanks for the response. Issue I have is I had already deleted the original and tried installing the "official Plex" version, Couldn't get it to work. So I deleted it and downloaded the "binhex" version. I have no idea what any of my paths were, And I deleted some of those folders thinking it was causing issue with the new version download. So, This video doesn't help me much. Can I just install "binhex" and set it back up? I tried setting the file paths in plex to the locations of all my media. However, When I go into the Plex GUI, I have no idea how to find the drives. I have clicked on everything but they are not present. Also, To better understand what happened. I'm not much of a tech person so I don't touch this stuff much because I have no clue what I'm doing. Needless to say, My unraid system OS had not been updated in most likely 2 years or so. I updated the OS and that's when everything when bat shit crazy and plex stopped working. I tried updating it, Did not work. That's when I began to install other plex applications, Needless to say I have not been able to get them to work. I'm not even sure during the initial install what I'm supposed to check or set. I did figure out adding "paths" to my media drives in the plex docker setup. I have 10 media drives with various folders and plex has a path to them all. Again, However when I go into the web GUI and try to setup a "movies' folder or whatever it asks for me to pick my drive/folder. When I go into this option, I cannot find my pathed drives. Again, I'm not much of a techie, Don't know shit about networking so maybe I'm missing something.
  14. Can someone tell me if there is a setup guide for this? I was using a version from someone that I guess was not supported anymore and over the last week Plex has stopped working on my unraid server. I have downloaded this version, However I have no clue on how to get this going anymore and can't find any guide to explain it. I have downloaded it and set the paths to my drives. I have try to find them in the webgui when setting up but they are not anywhere I can find. Can someone point me to a setup guide?
