  1. Hardware failure has forced me to upgrade, and this is where I have found Haswell and unRAID don't play nice together when it comes to SpeedStep. root@unRAID:~# cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep MHz cpu MHz : 3500.000 cpu MHz : 3500.273 cpu MHz : 3500.410 cpu MHz : 3500.546 cpu MHz : 3500.820 cpu MHz : 3461.992 cpu MHz : 3500.000 cpu MHz : 3501.367 top - 10:29:01 up 20:50, 1 user, load average: 0.22, 0.31, 0.35 Tasks: 309 total, 1 running, 308 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 0.5%us, 0.1%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.0%id, 0.4%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 32895660k total, 29897840k used, 2997820k free, 136k buffers Swap: 0k total, 0k used, 0k free, 27557820k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 5788 nobody 20 0 4023m 312m 26m S 1 1.0 29:48.25 mono 3778 root 20 0 1021m 19m 812 S 1 0.1 114:18.91 shfs 4045 avahi 20 0 34448 3120 2724 S 0 0.0 0:00.24 avahi-daemon 5719 nobody 20 0 3596m 131m 9.8m S 0 0.4 49:10.41 python2 5790 nobody 20 0 2333m 142m 5880 S 0 0.4 1:42.57 python2 6835 nobody 20 0 420m 85m 13m S 0 0.3 4:43.20 deluged 7225 nobody 20 0 5699m 221m 9180 S 0 0.7 2:22.72 java 8161 nobody 20 0 610m 33m 0 S 0 0.1 4:04.27 mongod 29204 root 20 0 13416 2348 1888 R 0 0.0 0:00.04 top 1 root 20 0 4368 1560 1464 S 0 0.0 0:04.82 init 2 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kthreadd 3 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:11.52 ksoftirqd/0 5 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/0:0H 7 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 1:00.10 rcu_preempt 8 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 rcu_sched 9 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 rcu_bh 10 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.32 migration/0 With my Haswell CPU doing practically nothing it still wants to run at full speed, where my old Bloomfield was very happy to clock down. The state show above is a SSH Session,Docker doing its thing and my kids watching a show. No WebUI. From what I have read it can sort of be adjusted with "intel_pstate=disable" Info about that was found HERE Has 6.2 address this issue or is the work around still required? Thanks
  2. Thanks guys for the tips. I am all back up an running with no data lose
  3. Can I manually edit that setting in (edit files on the flash drive?) or should i boot another computer into unRAID and set that before i move everything over? Or is that just overly cautious and not required. Thanks for the advice
  4. So my Motherboard, GA-EX58-EXTREME (Socket 1366 w/ i7-940, 30GB of RAM) died last week while I was out of town. Sad day, but it was 7 1/2 years old, so I guess that is life. I have ordered a few new parts to get myself back up an running again. I have gone with: ASRock Rack C226 WS Motherboard Xeon E3-1246 v3 along with another matching 8GB stick of RAM to bring me to an even 32GB So once I Swap out the Motherboard and get her powered back up and running, do I need to do anything special? As far as i am aware, I should be able to boot from USB right back into unRAID without any issues. Parity check is a must, but other than that I should be good right? I have 5 Drives, a cache drive, 3 Data and a Parity. Thanks for any input you guys can provide. Hoping all the parts will arrive by next weekend and i can get back up an running with minimal issues / get any prep work done prior.
  5. Had to throw up a quick FTP server for a Buddy of mine.... I am going to leave this here: http://www.proftpd.org/docs/howto/NAT.html Has everything you need to know to get your FTP configured
  6. Sitting down at my desktop now, and yep, all is good. You really need a "buy me a beer" link in your sig as I am sure i owe you a few.
  7. Did something change again? I got the 03-Feb-16 built working no problems, but I went to update today, and can not get it going. Tried a force update with no luck either (3 of your others i am using, no issues ) This is the only thing that jumps out at me FATAL: Module iptable_mangle not found in directory /lib/modules/4.1.17-unRAID This is on unRAID 6.1.8 # lsmod Module Size Used by tun 16465 2 xt_nat 1665 13 veth 4401 0 ipt_MASQUERADE 981 14 nf_nat_masquerade_ipv4 1649 1 ipt_MASQUERADE iptable_nat 1615 1 nf_conntrack_ipv4 5626 2 nf_nat_ipv4 4111 1 iptable_nat iptable_filter 1280 2 ip_tables 9310 2 iptable_filter,iptable_nat nf_nat 9789 3 nf_nat_ipv4,xt_nat,nf_nat_masquerade_ipv4 coretemp 5044 0 it87 23702 0 hwmon_vid 2028 1 it87 md_mod 30680 3 bonding 87645 0 ahci 24107 5 r8169 57464 0 i2c_i801 8917 0 libahci 18687 1 ahci mii 3339 1 r8169 acpi_cpufreq 6074 0 [code] supervisord.log.txt
  8. hi jay_iii my first thoughts is around vpn_user and vpn_pass, i have now made these mandatory for "custom" vpn provider, so im assuming you are specifying custom, if so please define vpn_user and vpn_pass environment variables in the unraid webui (click on advanced view to see env vars). if its not that then please post your supervisord.log file. Yeah I have all that setup as you did help me in the past. Everything was working and I didnt change a thing, just ran the update in the GUI Line 116 in the log file seems to be where it goes bad. but not sure why it doing that. As I have trippled checked my credentials, and they all work. supervisord.log.txt supervisord.log.txt
  9. Any change with the update you did with binhex-delugevpn? Updated to latest today and can no longer start it
  10. Quick SSH and done. Your the man, thank you.
  11. sickbeard pretty much fails most times and is the most regular to fail. add sonar, sabnzbd to that list. force update "fixes" them
  12. Yes and I really hope that is the only answer we see. Athlon64 came out in 2003. Pentium 4 added 64bit extensions in 2004.
  13. see this post http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36257.0 Limit how many cores your docks can access. I too was having unpacking/recovery issues (Sabnzbd) until i limited it to 4 threads (of I also have limited MariaDB to 4 threads Having one dock fully load all your CPU cores does seem to cause issues, and that at least for me was the fix
  14. I must have DL's Ubuntu about 20 times so far configuring all my docks. Thank you again. One last thing, I really think you should include this plugin http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33053 When you do your next update. The ability to ignore the scheduler for a selected torrent can be very helpful Not sure why it doesn't let me add that plugin for some reason as i know others can be added
  15. login.conf should be username@usenetserver password so like this JaY_III@usenetserver 1234password! I cant believe UNS VPS doesn't have that information listed anywhere. And thank you for being so patient and helpful with me
  16. ok cool, that file looks fine, can you also do a EOL check for your ovpn file that your using, if its windows format then switch it over to unix Did that check as soon as you mentioned it for the login.conf Was looking at the openVPN man pages last night and it looks like I might be able to combine them all in one file. So wife dependent, I'll see if I can make some progress on that tonight. Also I am starting to doubt the provided files I have. I tested my credentials with an app, but think I might need to manually test the cert. Do you know any simple win program that I can import my cert and opvn file to verify settings on? If not I'll get it going in pfSense
  17. sorry hot the wrong file funny how my password file was DL so many times. should have been this one as an example login.conf
  18. yes it should simply contain your username <new line> then your password, if you can open your login.conf file with something like notepad++ then go to Edit menu and select EOL conversion, if Unix Format isnt greyed out then select it and then save the file. then restart the docker, it might be a end of line formatting issue like the previous poster. This is exactly as it should be, yet no love. also have tried different ports with no luck along with trying to connect to a different server.
  19. See that's what in don't get. Triple checked that. And have tested with another app, login info is good Login.conf should be 2 lines correct Username Password
  20. Still not getting it. Any chance i could have you look at this and point out what i have done wrong. Thanks again supervisord.log.txt
  21. Wondering if anyone could help me with this one Trying to use delugevpn with UsenetServer VPN as that's provided to me from my usenet provider However i am not having any luck as I cant seem to get into the WEB UI I do have my provided vpn.crt and .ovpn file placed in the openvpn directory. Could someone please have a look and help point me into the correct direction. supervisord.log.txt
  22. Just an FYI for anyone with Sabnzbd. If you update to the latest Docker that has added Multicore Par2, it will be off by default if you originally configured it with a build that did not have support. Doing a force update on the Docker image will have no effect. So you either have to delete everything in the /config directory and reset it up or edit sabnzbd.ini Simple change the value from: par2_multicore = 0 to par2_multicore = 1
