  1. But that will become a bigger issue when I start transferring bigger file folders
  2. the os is only seeing 1 out of my 4 NICs. I currently have moved all the Ethernet connections around and tested. Singularly they work. However if leave all 4 plugged into the switch the OS will only single out one and use it. The switch is seeing that they are on and connected. The router is only seeing one NIC. The OS is only seeing one NIC. Any Ideas?
  3. I did a pre-clear so no reball. I am using unRAID 6.0beta7 now. The drive is currently 56GB out of 4TB used. I just hit skip and write the file name down and transfer the file separate and it will work. I am only doing a transfer from one computer to the server. No other activity is being transfered or read from the server.
  4. Okay little update and this should probably be moved to the os version 6 I got all my drives finally pre-cleared and formatted. I am starting to move my files over and I am still having the same issue. Funny part is it don't matter if it is a file or a folder. If I move a large folder with large files one of them will will make me skip it. I am starting to wonder if it is a Ethernet switch problem. The switch I have is the TP-SG1016D I am on average getting on full good transfer 95 MB/second The most I have seen is 104 MB/second
  5. I am unsure as to how long this will be going on however I had seen on ebay that the red 4tb drives are only $150 http://www.ebay.com/itm/WD-Red-4TB-3-5-SATA-64MB-Hard-Drive-WD40EFRX/390894591690?pt=US_Internal_Hard_Disk_Drives&hash=item5b03221eca
  6. Well never can have enough memory unless its the max that the mobo can handle. Lol. But possibility that or a small ram disk.. Not sure as of yet.
  7. Ill let yea know what's the power specs of it as soon as I get all of the HDs pre-cleared. As of currently for one 4tb drive its been over 20hrs.
  8. Thank you. I am unsure as to what the idle power is of just the board but with 7 drives/fans/mobo it was at 53watts. I need to check it again with all the drives.
  9. When I did the first preclear it came back with an issue with a drive but it was just a seating issue. I fixed that and did another and it came back all fine.
  10. Its a Corsair 860ax If you are saying its not the HD then how do I go about fixing the issue. The server is still empty besides what's on disk 3 and I still have all that data elsewhere still.
  11. So any idea? Is it just drive3 that is causing my issue? or do ya think its my addon card? SUPERMICRO AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 <- that is what I have.
  12. yes, and its still showing a red ball next to Disk3
  13. Here we go. I checked all drives and made sure all were seated properly. Funny part is I can still navigate the directory that is listed on that drive. sys.txt
  14. I changed it but it does not help at all. Still same issue. Also once it "disconnects" me I have to refresh the directory in order for anything to work but half way on the transfer it will say cannot connect again. I have disabled all ethernet connections on my desktop to just one and still same issue. There is multiple ethernet connections with 2 plugged in but only 1 is getting an ip and showing up for some reason. AND now there is a solid red ball... Go to the system log and it says and the Log button says this update: I went and stopped the array and it said that most of all my drives were red ball and the #3 drive was missing...
  15. the thing that gets me is even though the DHCP lease is short the ip does not change so who does it still give issue?
  16. Here is the system log. and I am running PFSence for my router/firewall sys.txt
  17. Does anyone have anything for me? It does the same thing even when transferring a 600mb file over to the server..
