  1. Cannot say. I have it in a PCI-E x8 slot. Hopefully the l8i version of the card will work. I think i found the issue. "This is an HBA, not a raid controller. This is meant for software raid solutions such as ZFS." <- Quote by Kevin W. from NewEgg Reviews
  2. I would think there is some kind of "plate." I am sorry to hear your issues with the Corsair PSUs. I've never had issues with any of the Corsair series PSUs. Now a good place to do research on the PicoPSUs is www.mp3car.com
  3. Well your mobo is a LGA 1155 and the Intel Xeon x5650 is a LGA 1366 AND your mobo can ONLY hold ONE cpu.
  4. Personally I would go back with another Corsair CX430M PSU. The main thing to look at is if your case can hold a picopsu. To answer that question yes it would HOWEVER then you will have a BIG hole at the bottom of your case. If you really want to stick with an ATX psu and don't want any fans to deal with I would recommend the SeaSonic Platinum Series SS-400FL2 Active PFC F3 The main thing you want to look at is if down the road you want to add MORE hard drives. It's always better to have a little more power then needed. If money is no object go with the Corsair AX760. <- I have been rocking 2 of those PSU since they came out and still loving them. I got a AX1200i in my main computer and I cannot hear anything from any of them. Nice and quiet.
  5. I think something is wrong with that card. I have the same issue with the same card as well. I have a different mobo. I am going to order the USAS2-L8i version of that card and see how it goes.
  6. I keep getting redballs on different hard drives and grrrr what the hell do I have to do to make this thing work other than buy a different mobo.
  7. the files transferred fine to my other server. So now what?
  8. Well the large transfer is coming right from my computer to the server. I could possibility understand if it was going from one server1 to computer to server2. I haven't had any issues like this before in my network. This is why I am so confused. Let me see on transferring the Large file folder to a different server and see what happens.
  9. Note* It will show that you can add more than one drive but it will not let you and thus decifer on the "Key" you get.
  10. So does the Pro key don't mean anything on the new version 6beta7?
  11. For IPMI to work it needs to be in its "ipmi" port. Once Launch the software you can click on the magnifying glass to search your network. You can get the official software from supermicro http://www.supermicro.com/products/nfo/SMS_IPMI.cfm IPMI is all I use to connect to my server and don't have any issues. I can power the server on or off and also view KVM as well. Also the webGui will only work as well if it is plugged into the IPMI port. So the port by the PS/2 port. In order for you to have both IPMI and regular access you need 2 Ethernet cables plugged in. One in IPMI and the other in the regular port. Both however can be plugged into the same switch
  12. I am still having an issue on transferring a large file folder. I just got a Cisco SG200-26 and still having issues transferring large file folders. I know this is in the wrong area now becaues I am using 6.0Beta7. Should i update to beta 8? Also what do I have to do to make this STOP.
  13. I am a web developer and was wondering on where the html files actually are hiding. I was wanting to make some themeing and maybe some other options. I would like to help out on the unRAID development as much as I can.
  14. Well I had ordered Cisco Small Business SG200-26. So we shall see how well it works... AND MAYBE I can find out what devices I have that is dragging down my network.
  15. Well your saying the HP procruve. Hmm is that your final answer? I'm trying to find out before I go sped 400+ on a switch that won't work...
  16. Well tested it on a cheapo Netgear FS605 switch and it transfered the file fine. (Granted at a slower speed). Also tested it on a TP-Link TL-SG1008 switch and it transfered the file fine as well. Connected everything back up to the TP-Link TP-SG1016D and again issue with connectivity. but anywho Yea on PoE thing is I have quite a few injectors and it is messy. I am just trying to figure out what would be my best route to go. I will look into the HP Procurve switch. So far I am leaning on getting the UBNT switch as I have quite a bit of there hardware already but still willing to go a different route.
  18. Here is the power usage on idle and the drives spin down. and here is it with the drives spin up
  19. Well I got a cheap switch I am going to try. I am running all cat6 / cat7 cables. I'll let ya know what I find out on that. Now I do know that the tp-link switch is a different league then the 2 that I had mentioned but was looking for a few features like vlan and switch poe. I am not sure how it can be network cables if I am getting disconnect issues from other devices.
  20. Well for one I was watching the load in and out of my router and it is nowhere getting close to full capacity. All of my NICs are Intel. I am also getting disconnect issues from my IP cameras to my other server.
  21. Okay here I am facing an issue with Ethernet disconnects and I am thinking it is coming from my switch. This is what I currently have. TP-Link TL-SG1016D I have been thinking of going to a Cisco Catalyst of some sort or a Ubiquiti switch A guy down the road from me has a Cisco Catalyst 2948G I am thinking about getting or I am also looking at Ubiquiti ES-24-250W Links: Tp-link - http://www.tp-link.com/lk/products/details/?model=TL-SG1016D Cisco - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps606/prod_bulletin09186a00801cfae0.html Ubiquiti - http://www.ubnt.com/edgemax/edgeswitch/ What do ya guys/gals think?
