    I will do that however the case has not been moved at all since the install of the last 6 drives and its almost been a year... So how can a pci card that is screwed into place come out

    The firmware was up to date on the card. I did that last time this had happened. As I said I use to run in XEN mode and all was good. I ran R2 and didn't notice any significant issues but I also didn't copy over any big files. So the question is what to do?

    generally that would be correct. But I've had this problem befor and i just ran in XEN mode and all issues go away. Not so much with the rc-4.

    Well after I upgraded from 6.0rc2 to 6.0rc4 my drive 1 showed bad and had some issues with other drives. I had shut the server down completely and did a "Cold boot" and drive 1 showed as bad. I start the drive set and it still shows drive 1 bad. I stop it and it shows drives 1-8 missing. I had no issues with rc-2. Previous version "beta version" I had to run in xen mode in order for this to go away. here is the sys log. https://lilnetwork.com/download/nas/6-8-2015.log

    So I had used the create VM and filled out all the info. Nothing happened.

    That was the trick. I had also upgraded to the 14b.

    There is nothing inputted into those fields. Included disk(s): "Field empty" Excluded disk(s): "Field empty"

    Well the "disk1" is full 4tb used of 4tb and it stopped transfer saying i was out of space all drives are 4tb

    Okay here is something that makes me wonder. I have a share that is using 4 drives and using Allocation method: Fill Up. It had filled up one drive and that was it. It's not moving onto the next drive.

    first off this was for UnRAID 6.0-Beta6 Pro. it was a mispost under the wrong area. Yes, i am running the drives as xfs and xen mode. No more issues.

    Has anyone had any luck or seen a better performance increase with any of the following drives? What about the following? WD Purple 4TB WD SE 4TB WD RE 4TB In for Video / NAS

    I booted it up in xen and so far its booted and I let the system rebuild it self. I haven't had time to check the data yet. I did notice that the "bad" drive it was seeing was orange and once it got done it turned Green. However it still says unformatted. Do I format it even though its green?

    im starting to wonder if its the icy dock that is causing the issue. but if that was the case wouldn't i see it when it was doing the pre-clear... for the (9th time)

    the PSU is a Corsair AX860. It will narrow down to a physical disk. But if its the drive bay how can it make all 8 of the drives connected to the card mess up as well?

    Okay Maybe I had spoke too soon on this issue. It had ran for a little while then it had just dropped all the HDs that was connected to the card. Rebooted the machines and it was saying the HDs are there but the second drive is red balled. I have tested multiple different hard drive in that slot with the same redball outcome. So what are my options here.

    update: I had pulled up the drives in ubuntu desktop and all drives show up fine and my files are there as well. So I am assuming this is directly an issue with unRAID. What do I have to do or buy to get this machine working. I have a lot of plans for this space but unable to use it. This issue is becoming quite an issue.

    Here is something to think about also. Why am I just having issues with the HDs that are connected to the Supermicro mv8 card?
