  1. Soo I had some Noctua 120mm 3-pin fans on the case and it ran them at 100% at all times. So I went and got some pwm noctua 4-pin fans and it works. However they spin lower than the thresholds of the allowed in the mobo. Now I have used ipmitool in ubuntu to adjust this same issue on my other supermicro board with the same 4-pin fans and no issues at all. For some reason this time instead of changing it to what I say. It changes all the power level is over 9000..(65025). any ideas? The motherboard is X8DTL-iF
  2. Shhh.. we hunting files.. More to come. Almost same setup as far as hardware. Still supermicro.
  3. That's no fun. I was really wanting to move some of my Raspberry pi servers to a VM.
  4. youtu.be/n6wYFnnePn0 there is a visual of what I am seeing.
  5. I'm not sure either. Once I get home I'll do a video of the screen to show it "live"
  6. Yes, but where is that share located? On your protected array? Yes
  7. My isos is stored in there own share
  8. Is there any reason why you need to have a VM under hyper-v and esxi that can't be done under unraid?
  9. So when trying to create a VM and going to select the ISO the section is small even though there is ISOs in there. This is the same with Google Chrome and IE
  10. Feature request: 3 paritys Full encryption 48+ drives in protected array. Yes I want to be able to use a BackBlaze box with unRaid!
  11. Well then v3. I got about 3 of them laying around. But it still doesn't help much on the issue of currently. I looked at that Intel card but the issue is my current IBM card only has 2 SAS connections. So while I will gain 8 drives is it worth the extra $250 for the card?
  12. Is there anyway that can use the USB2.0 or 3.0?
  13. Okay so I am out of room as far as space in the case and sata slots. Is there any ideas on how to add more HDs without building another full NAS? Yes I know I can get bigger drives but I want to use the spair drives I have already.
  14. I don't understand the error that it is giving me.
  15. After reading the unRAID Manual for V6 and doing a google search for this I have not found my answer for V6+ on unRAID So the question is what is the MAX drives allowed for V6+? I say V6+ because version 6 and beyond.
  16. I didn't have any issues with the Motherboard. Make sure you are connecting it correctly. I am bringing back up this topic because I am looking at moving to a rack mount case and looking for input. I have 12 - 3.5 drives that is needed internal or external. I have 2 SSDs in the server now. The MAX the system is 14 drives period.
  17. Here is an odd thing. I am sitting here streaming some video over my network and I had went to a different share that is on a different drive. When that drive was spinning up my video had lagged. I wouldn't quite say it's an issue but just something to take note. OR maybe I am missing something?
  18. That looks like it can do just what I want. Thank you
  19. Something like that looks promising. however it is only for linux clients.
