  1. Have a super easy question... I'm new to apache so this simple thing is throwing me for a loop. I have the Docker installed, and want to add a password using .htaccess. The guide is great, but it's missing noob-friendly detail. What is the root directory file structure for the server? I need to fix that line in my .htaccess file, which will be placed in the www folder and the .htpasswd will be placed a directory above that. I'm using the default config mappings. Thanks again for all the help and these dockers
  2. Is anyone willing to take on the Guacamole Docker? I'm surprised that there doesn't seem much demand for it on these forums; I see this being extremely useful especially when paired with a reverse proxy. I currently use a VPN to connect to my home network while away and RDP into what I need.
  3. Is there a guide floating around on how to get this all setup on Unraid? I currently have a domain name setup with DDClient that allows me to reach one or two local applications but would love a more secure way to get this done. From what I understand, you're running a web server locally that you can connect to using the reverse proxy. You have a splash page of sorts setup to access local applications, but before you can access anything (the splash page and/or apps) you must authenticate yourself. This is the ideal setup for me. EDIT: Found this, I forgot what forum I was on...: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38875.0
  4. Well that’s annoying.. I’ll go ahead and replace the parity disk and then expand it afterwards. thanks a lot
  5. I bought this drive straight from Amazon and did not pull it from any type of enclosure. It came as a normal OEM drive. So I guess the parity swaps the only option?
  6. Sorry, it was late server-diagnostics-20160823-1007.zip
  7. Running low on space, so I bought another 6TB WD Red. It precleared fine but when I went to assign the drive, it tells me that the parity slot isn't the biggest... The server is 2x 6TB WD Reds (1 parity) and 6x 3TB WD Reds. Adding an additional 6TB red. Supermicro - X9DR3-F 2x Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz 120GB of Ram How do I proceed? This must be some sort of id10t error on my end...
  8. 28 cores are better Dual e5s are 16 cores, 32 threads. What is linked is 14 cores, 28 threads.
  9. I think it needs a new package that isn’t in 6.1 Peter, how can I ensure that the plugin doesn’t auto update and kill itself? Thanks
  10. Version 6.1 should be fine for latest plugin Do we need to rebuild anything? I have the same issue even with the latest update. Rolling back to the version that was linked two pages or do ago allows me to connect right away. I appreciate the help
  11. Has this been fixed or do I need to use the old plugin on 6.1? How can I disable the auto updates that break it? Thanks
  12. Great, thanks. This is very similar to what I was going to do, but I figured I’d ask first. Thanks again.
  13. I’m sure someone has done something similar before. What is the best way to combine multiple shares? I currently have a /HDMovies /Movies (sd movies) /Documentary I now want it to be /Movies/HD /Movies/SD /Movies/Documetary The files span 6 disks. How would you recommend making this change? Thanks for the help
  14. I have been using Emby for over a year now and I have not had 1 hiccup. Very active development, great community, very frequent releases, feature rich, GREAT KODI plugin (which does centralised database management across multiple KODI / Openelec devices without having to mess around with an instance of MySQL). If a users main aim is centralised database management, then I don't think there is a better solution than Emby. > Install Kodi or Openelec on client device > Install Emby Docker > Add Folder to Emby > Install Emby Plugin => Emby Plugin searches Network, finds instance of Emby and auto configures and sync's media library into Kodi. > Done. No messing with database versions as KODI gets upgraded. FAST incremental Sync. FAST re-scan. No metadata issues. Supports streaming and direct play (e.g. via SMB). Can't fault it. Just m2c. With PlexkodiConnect (new addon) you can do the same thing as Emby (it’s actually based off the Emby plugin code).
  15. For about $40 more I would go with this RAM. It will take you from 16GB to 64GB. http://www.ebay.com/itm/201380486027?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I'm not sure I need 64GB. I don't have plans to run too many VMs. This would mainly be a PLEX build. But I guess now that ram can transcode, it wouldn't be too bad? What do you mean RAM can transcode? You mean have Plex transcode to RAM instead of your disk? I’m pretty sure that feature was removed a few months back and no longer works. Get the extra RAM anyway.
  16. Just wanted to say thanks. Was able to use this plugin to easily mount drives from my old unraid server to transfer the data to the new server. Will also put it to use for a deluge docker as my ssd is relatively small compared to my old, now unused, cache drive.
  17. Go air and don’t worry about it. You can’t really OC this on most boards anyway.
  18. 18 dollar fedex shipping to New York... Savings of 10 dollars or so over Amazon.
  19. So you recommend leaving the old server up and copying it through the network? I was leaning towards adding the drive to the new sever locally and moving the files off onto the new array before clearing the old drive.
  20. So I recently built a new unRAID server and plan on transferring the files from my old server to my new one. It will have to be a transfer, because the old disks are on reiserfs and I'd now like to use xfs. I have a few old drives in the old server. I currently only have a 3TB drive in my new build (with 6tb parity). Should I shut the old server down and transfer disk by disk using something like unassigned devices? My old array consisted of 2x Samsung 1.5tb drives (will be retired), 2x 2tb Samsung drives (will be retired) and 5x 3TB WD Reds (1 as parity). I'd transfer 1 3TB disk, preclear the old disk and then add to the array and start the next one, repeating until I'm complete. What would you recommend?
  21. Why would this be? This is exactly what happened to me but now everything works...
  22. What is the benefit and/or usage scenario for such a large cache pool? Video editing?
