  1. Has there been an update? Or any suggestions on alternatives? Would love to automate to add meta data to Radarr movie downloads (automated right after download). Any ideas?
  2. @gridrunner Seems that you have already done everything that I am trying to accomplish... Have you planned a video how to get gamestream to work as above? I have a Win10 VM with a passthrough GTX1050. I have GFE running from it and have manually added some games. I have tried to play these games from a RPi (retropie) and also from my iphone (moonlight). Both clients pair nicely with GFE. On the iphone, I can get to the games list. I can then select the game, but then I am getting an error message: "Connection failed failed to launch app". Similar with Retropie, but I cannot even get to the gamelist there. No clue how to trouble-shoot or what log files may be relevant. Any advice highly appreciated!
  3. What does this mean for me? Right now (during parity rebuild), I have access to all my data. What part do you expect that I'll lose? Anything I can do to prevent data loss? I'll run extended smart once the parity is fully built.
  4. I found the issue. It actually works to run both in parallel when I access one over Teamviewer and the other one over RDC. I earlier tried to access both over RDC (didn't work) or one over RDC and the other one over VNC (also didn't work). I prefer to use RDC over Teamviewer. Any idea whether it is possible to access both over VNC or both over RDC?
  5. Got it. So, need to switch to a new disk? Is my array still safe as long as the currently ongoing parity built will complete? As mentioned, the drive still shows "green" and the parity rebuild is underway.
  6. Thanks. Below the log file and attached the diagnostic file. I don't think there is anything that I pass through to both? Maybe the network card an CPU. I have not attached a mouse or keyboard. I have set audio to none. https://pastebin.com/r88fg1QQ tower-diagnostics-20171113-1711.zip
  7. When I wrote 3/6, I meant 3 cores / 6 threads. To be precise, the first VM has 1/7, 2/8 and 3/9. The second VM has 4/10 and 5/11. 0/6 is kept for Unraid. Unraid is stil active and not effected by the crash. The first freezes when I start the second. The second doesn't start (but stays with some form of Windows screen). The second never reaches the Windows, but it varies how "far" it goes in the boot process. I don't know how to run a memory test. I had assigned more than 6GB of ram though and this was never an issue (when running just one VM).
  8. Thanks. How to trigger a "correcting parity"? Do I need to rebuild or just run another parity check after this is completed? It will still take another 12 hours for the parity build to complete. Will wait your guidance before replacing another drive. Diagnostic attached. Thanks for your help! tower-diagnostics-20171113-1711.zip
  9. I switched the VM with GPU passthrough to VNC (i.e., no GPU passthrough on both VMs). This did not solve the issue. One VM runs a OVMF and the other a Seabios. Any more thoughts? I would like to set up two gaming machine as shown in various videos and cannot even take the first step to have two simple VMs running at the same time. Any help appreciated!
  10. Thanks. Some quick answers below: * i7 with 6/12 C/T. Assigned 3/6 to one and 1/2 to the other * 16 GB ram. Assigned 6GB each * One VM runs with VNC (no GPU or audio pass-through). The second VM passes through an Nvidia GPU (both video and audio).
  11. I bought a second Win10 license key and have now set up two VMs. Each of them individually runs well. However, I have not succeeded to run them in parallel. The issue is not easy to replicate as it shows differently (freezing, not booting, etc.). What is consistent though is that it doesn't work. What information would be most helpful to trouble-shoot? Thanks in advance for your help!
  12. Disk read errors. Disk does not disable and parity rebuild is still ongoing. Error log below: https://pastebin.com/hKRjCEGN
  13. I have two NVME drives. One is 1TB an one is 128GB. Currently, I am using the 1TB as cache disk (VM, very little docker use). I am currently not using the 128GB disk. I am thinking to move the 1TB to US and instead use the 128GB as cache (and docker?). I am not clear though whether this would do any good?
  14. The trigger point is that I have an extra disk available (128GB NVME), which I currently have no use. I was thinking I could use this as cache disk. I don't like pooling disks, so this would force me to use the currentt cache disk as UD. From what I see, one advantage may be not running dockers and VM from the same disk. But that's not a big deal for me as I barely use dockers. So, I was wondering whether I can actually make use of a cache disk. From what I understand, I am actually not using yet the cache function of my cache disk. Not sure how I could do so though. Any thoughts?
  15. Here we go with the log from the VM. Maybe this helps the experts? https://pastebin.com/HUfrvTW7
  16. Spent the last two days trying to come up with a solution to pass-through one of my Nvidia GPUs to my WIndows 10 VM. Unfortunately, I can still not get the Nvidia passthrough to the Win VM to work. In the meantime, I have set up a Fedora VM and it works to passthrough both of the Nvidia GPUs (individually, not at the same time). However, it still not working with my Win10 VM. See below what I have tried: * Enable PCIe ACS override: yes * Hyper-V: No * Bios: Seabios (requires new install of Windows, so didn't try to change) * Tried both GPUs individually * Manually added vbios rom file to XML (dumped via commandline or downloaded from techpowerup) I am really running out of the options what I can still try to make it work. Setting up a new Win10 VM with OVMF bios may be an option, but this will be huge work and I'd need to buy another license. And it used to work for a short time period before, so there must be a way to get it to work with Seabios. Any other idea what I can do? I am getting quite desperate. Let me know if any diagnostic or related info may be helpful. Thanks!
  17. I'll give it a go with a fresh install. I must have done something wrong along the way. Before I do so, wanted to understand whether it is now supported to use Clover versions beyond 4200? There was a ticket for it, but got closed. I don't fully understand what the solution is. Can someone comment? https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/tickets/411/
  18. Let me share a bit more. I have a very large array, which I use primarily for movie storage. I don't use dockers, but have other devices (ATV etc) that access the array (via SMB) and play movies. I move the movies within the array between disks with a transfer speed of around 100k/sec. Besides that, I actively use my Win10 VM and less active but also my MacOS VM. Both vdisks are currently on my cache drive. My cache disk is a NVME SSD with 1TB. I googled a bit about cache disk. From what I understand, I currently don't really use the cache disk and I could just change the cache disk into an unassigned drive. With my setup, there is no point to even have a cache disk as I am not using user shares. Is my understanding correct?
  19. Let me also share my lscpi info below . I now have two GPUs and cannot succeed either of them to passthrough to my Win10 VM. Any more thoughts? https://pastebin.com/v1Swr9xJ
  20. I am in the process my parity disk to a larger one. Rebuild is ongoing. All disks show "green", but disk 3 shows 128 errors. Smart test looks ok. Does it make sense to let the parity rebuild complete? Any advice on what to do?
  21. Yup, that's exactly the current bug. It works well with RDC or Teamviewer. Or as you said - just stay with the touchscreen in VNC instead of the mouse.
  22. Do you have a touchscreen? If so, there is a bug in Unraid/VNC that prevents mouse support to work with VNC. Developers are aware and we may see a fix. You can use RDC instead, which works flawless.
  23. I have assigned a cache disk, but never really questioned what it does. It hosts by VMs. Is my cache disk already now assuming any other function than providing space to my VMs? I am thinking to move my VMs to a separate disk outside the array (unassigned disk). Would this be benefitial and what can I use my then freed up cache disk for?
  24. In the meantime, I have decided to buy a second GPU to make things easier. I have placed it in a second PCI slot and assigned it to my Win 10 VM. Unfortunately, this is also not working. I only get a black screen. I have opened a separate thread. Let me share though the info you had asked for. Anything you can see from my XML file what I may be doing wrong here? Please see XML file below: https://pastebin.com/nrRdSqVA
  25. I had tried to passthrough my (only) GPU with mixed results. I thought I'd make my life easier by buying a second GPU. Unfortunately, it didn't solve my issue. My Win10 VM is running very well. When I tried to change the GPU from VNC to Nvidia-passhtrough (using my second GPU in 2nd slot), my VM still starts, but it only shows a black screen. I tried to disable PCIe ACS and also disable Hyper-V. Still no improvement and I cannot get the GPU passthrough to work. Any idea? What info would be helpful for trouble-shooting?
