Sorry mate... does not work... I use an alternative: I use my Vm for gaming on my physical SSD, so when I want to play valorant, I just boot from that SSD and windows starts normally.. Watch this video:

Hi... regarding the "make sure the network is up" part... I was thinking.... if there were a script that pings the router and, if ping response is not valid, shutdown the server. Sounds pretty easy script, but I don't have a clue on how to write it and test it... can someone give me a had ?

So, I got a AMD FX 8350... Is it "safe" upgrade it to ThreadRipper ? Windows VM working fine? No Unraid freezes? I`m quite insecure on spending a lot o $$ and get desapointed

Am I the only one that gets a Password screen on entering the docker? I tried every password i know, and nothing happens... I tried to remove and re-install the docker, same thing.........

I´ll give a try to pass through the USB controller to see if my windows VM connects with the UPS and try to run a script to shutdown... Do you have any easy guide to pass through the USB controller? sorry, SOL means? Regarding RS232 port, yes the UPS has it, but my motherboard doesn't... i can buy a PCI card, but how can i be sure that it will work ? I try to pass thought the usb to a windows VM and didn't work.. i was hoping to create a windows xp vm with windows software running and try to shutdown the server thru CMD or URL... Hi Guys... sorry to bring this thread back to life... I'm from Brazil and I bought an local brand of UPS and I'm trying to configurate it on Unraid (but no luck) The UPS have an USB connection and comes with it's own software for monitoring and it works fine on windows. I've tryed millions of combinations on UPS settings on UNRAID, but nothing seems to work.. Can some one give me a little hand on this? i can post all configuration files regarding the original software if it might help

I saw your question regarding the Unraid getting your 16x PCIe as main video card, how u resolved that? Are u using a VM for gaming ? How is the performance ? is it laggy? freezing ? I'm hoping to install unraid by saturday, so any "lessons learned"will be great for me... thanks a lot regards

Well... unfortunately we dont have BIOSTAR MOBO... But the ASUS you mentioned, isn't a bad idea... it's 300 bucks cheaper than sabertooth.... (in local exchange of course... for u will be like 10 dollars, haha) one question METDeath... did you run it with Gaming VT and Media Stream VT with this gear ? About the AMD and Intel subject... I agree with you: Intel is "cooler" and i'm considering expend a few extra bucks for that.. But, the issue is pricing. Here in Brazil an 6th gen CPU is 8k Brazilian currency. this will exceed my budget in 6k (LOL). I'm considering using 4th gen CPU, but i have no clue which model (and corresponding motherboard) has the better cost/benefit to my usage. First time i heard of it was on youtube in Linus Tech channel (2 gamers 1 PC). Have to confess, that blew my head. well, let's end the BS talking and get to the point.... I'm from Brazil, so my main problem here is pricing (our current exchange today is 1 USD = 4,5 Brazil local currency). My equipment today is: MB: ASUS M4N68T-M LE CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor Mem: 8GB non ECC 1333 (to be confirmed) GCPU: AMD Radeon HD 6870 Series 2gb SSD: KINGSTON 240GB HDD: SAMSUNG 1TB and Seagate Barracuda 1TB I also have a Dlink NAS-320 with 2x 2TB Seagates Barracuda in Raid 1. After a lot of research I assumed that my current harware (except maybe Memory and GCPU) doesn't fit my needs to use unRaid for gaming, NAS and Media Stream on the same box. Another "issue" here in Brazil is the weather, it's too dam HOT and i dont have Air Conditionator on my room, so even today with 5 Fan's on my case, i still have leave my case open, or else my gear would overheat. I dont have a lot of buget, let's consider an USD500 buget to a Motherboard and a CPU (if my current parts could be of any use). I'm considering Intel or AMD platforms.
