  1. Alright, thanks. Gonna have to wait will i get a monitor hooked up. I've no idea what screen is heh EDIT: If i just run xfs_fsr -v It will just run it for 2 hours on all my drives? Skipping my SSD which is btrfs? EDIT2: And is there a way to set unRAID to run that for 2 hours every day?
  2. One of my disks is at %66 .. The others are around 10%. How do i run the default 2 hour defrag (on the one drive) to test? Not interested in a 3 day test hehe. EDIT: And has the file integrity plugin been modified to ignore those files since 2016?
  3. M1015M1115H200H310H320LSI 9201-8iHP E0X21AA ect.. Don't have a ton of cash to burn but thought i'd ask before i buy a cheap syba card heh. I am in Canada..
  4. Dang. I had a feeling the ones from china might not be worth the risk. Thanks Thanks for the list of stuff to search for miniwalks
  5. Thanks uldise. Like this one? https://tinyurl.com/y92mp5b5 . These safe to buy from China? No fakes floating around? heh
  6. All i see are cheap crap and super expensive server grade SAS cards (that i know next to nothing about). I want to upgrade from basic, add a second parity, and add two more data drives to my unRAID box. I need two more SATA ports. I see some mid range priced stuff but they look similar to the cheap Syba type cards.. no idea if they are just as crap as the cheap stuff but with a higher price. I see tons of people say these cheap cards are fine if you don't need anything fancy "Have had mine running for years". And just as many people say they are trash. I've never looked before and i find it weird that i can't find a clear good "mid-range" card. Its just garbage and then $$$ hehe. Best thing i can think of is attempting to find a cheap M1015 card and flashing it to IT mode.. but that's still a $100-150ish + cables CAD solution to needing 2 ports lol https://tinyurl.com/y7fp8w6z - https://tinyurl.com/y92mp5b5 .. Roll the dice on China? hehe https://tinyurl.com/ydhcby2n ? hehe .. there are $50+ cards that still use Marvel controllers like this cheap POS card shrugs not sure what to do EDIT: If i did buy one of them fancy SAS cards what are the correct cables to buy?
  7. Why is it skipping files? Also, i have a feeling it isn't hashing every newly added file. When it starts a scheduled scan (I only do one disc a month) it says the amount of data it is scanning and it is always a few hundred gigabytes less than is on the drive it is scanning.
  8. Curious. I have 2 1060s sitting here on my desk doing nothing. I haven't dabbled in installing VM's in unRAID yet. Could i install windows and pass the GPUs to it and be able to mine with them?
  9. I shut the server down and pulled the drive a week ago. New drive arrived today.. Can i just put the new drive in, boot it up, stop the array and start from set #7? Array was still running when i shutdown. And will auto start when i boot. Edit: Seems to have worked https://i.imgur.com/vd19Gnc.png
  10. Thanks to Canada Day 4 day weekend the drive is finally here! Don't know if i have the patience to do preclear I think im going to order another to have a spare on hand
  11. Thanks. Thought so. Just don't want to make any stupid mistakes heh
  12. Thanks. Shut it down for now heh What is the best way to make sure you are taking the right drive out? I am pretty sure i know which is which physically.. but SATA does not always agree! heh
  13. heh EDIT: Should i shut the box down while waiting for the drive to ship ?
  14. Just before i started the check.. it started saying this I'm gonna buy a new drive . I have 4 WD 6TB Blues in there. Can i buy ANY 6TB or does it have to be WD Blue? Or WD?
  15. Wow. Thanks! heh .. Just so i am 100% clear.. un-checking this Is ALL i need to do?
  16. Thanks guys. I will start a check now and failing that take strike's advice
  17. unRAID just sent me an email with his warning. How serious is this? Should i order a new drive? Or is this fixable?
  18. It's possible to do it without any real damage but very difficult to do without signs that WD would be able to notice. WD tests aren't really enough to kill a drive that is going to die early. Like most drives do.
  19. Thanks for the time and research.. I knew all of this though. Heh. I have opened a few in my day for every day use and accepted the risk. I specifically wanted to know if preclear will run on them in their stock state. I don't want to open them until they have been cleared a few times to minimise the risk taken before "shucking".
