  1. @gfjardim Preclear has failed multiple times on zeroing. Seems to always hang at 99%. I stop and resume (starts at 0%) and it will hang again. ############################################################################################################################ # # # unRAID Server Preclear of disk ZCH0BYLE # # Cycle 1 of 1, partition start on sector 64. # # # # # # Step 1 of 5 - Pre-read verification: [95:26:11 @ 34 MB/s] SUCCESS # # Step 2 of 5 - Zeroing in progress: (99% Done) # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # ** Time elapsed: 88:00:37 | Write speed: 37.9 MB/s | Average speed: 37 MB/s # # # ############################################################################################################################ # Cycle elapsed time: 183:26:54 | Total elapsed time: 183:26:55 # ############################################################################################################################ ############################################################################################################################ # # # S.M.A.R.T. 2. What would anticipate the speeds to be on a USB enclosure for preread? It is USB 3 but only getting like 35MB/sec. I think it’s on a hub though, may be the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I know this is the shotgun approach but I had a similar issue and ended up uninstalling the plugin, rebooting the server and reinstalling. I had nothing in the logs as well.
  4. Can you confirm we can still replace scripts as stated in the original post? My recent re-install doesn’t show any .sh files in the preclear directory and any attempt to add one does not make it available in the preclear drop down.
  5. OK, thank you. It seems something may have changed at some point. I appreciate the help. I attempted to download the 2018.03.29 version and edit the .plg file as mentioned above but that didn't give me a different script either. I haven't rebooted yet though. I think I want to run the bjp edited script from the console but my google is no good for that so far. All the threads I find relate to this thread (sorry if I missed it) or just a thread saying the plugin doesn't work. It would appear this is semi-dangerous in that if you type the wrong device it would wipe/zero out the drive so I want to be sure of what I'm typing. Can you point me in the right direction? I know there has been plenty of discussion about this particular plugin so maybe if we can point to the new script that apparently works and how to run it from the console, screen, whatever that may help end this thread and give you guys one post to point back to. Thanks again
  6. I did this. However, I didn't see any other *.sh files in that directory which makes me think something isn't right. Do I need to stop and start the array or anything?
  7. I feel like I did this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm not doing something right. I'm under the flash and found the directory then placed the script in the directory and renamed it but it still has the old script name when I run the plugin. I'm missing something somewhere. Help? Thanks. For reference I'm trying a different script because it keeps stalling at 99% on zeroing.
  9. This is reporting as updated yesterday but I don't see any details. I only details from previous update, any ideas what was fixed/changed? 2018.05.03 Fix: script not completely zeroing the disk
  10. This probably isn't the correct thread to reply to but it is related. Earlier some made mention of the preclear utility to clear the disk. Is there anything in unRaid or a user created plugin to do a DOD wipe similar to the Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN) boot disk.
  11. Saw this on Amazon today. It is the cheapest I’ve seen the pro drive. They have deals on some other hardware as well today. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075XNQYV1 I have only seen a few threads on this drive though.
  12. Is anyone using the Plex docker from Plex themselves and able to use this? I think I have it set up correctly but it appears to be just writing to the docker.img instead of /tmp. I have /transcode<-->/tmp set up in the docker and /transcode as the temp directory in the Plex application. However, no files appear to ever be written to this directory but the docker image seems to be "modified" every minute a movie is playing. Additionally if a movie plays long enough I get warnings that the docker image is taking up more and more space. Does the "official" Plex docker not obey the settings or have I done something silly?
  13. Thanks. Pricey but good to know there are options
  14. Yea, I just meant that size but with these connections.
  15. Thanks for the suggestions. I was actually looking for something more like a 5 in 3 size enclosure. Feel like there was something out there that maybe connected via esata.
  16. The Chenbro or racks in general?
  17. Are there any enclosures designed for this that live outside the case? Something with it’s own power supply? I newegged and amazoned but didn’t see anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I peeled some cables back and found there are some connectors left on the power distribution board(2x2-4pin). I found a small thread on it but intel didn’t seem too keen on supplying the info on what they deliver or are to be used for. http:// https://communities.intel.com/thread/118916 Part# fuppdbhc2 I think.
  19. Off topic but wondered if anyone who bought the intel P4000 series chassis swapped out the PSU. I asked in the hardware section. https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/69362-intel-p4000-outgrowing-stock-power-supply-connections/ Thanks
  20. I think I can install 1 card as there is a dual SATA to 8 pin connector but the other requires dual molex. I guess I’m more interested to know if anyone has just yanked the PSU in favor of something else or there is some obscure intel part number I can hunt down that will help. 21. I jumped on the wagon and bought the Natex combo and put it in an Intel P4000 chassis some time ago. Everything works fine, however, I want to experiment more with some VMs and adding some hardware. Much to my dismay I’ve found that I only have 2 SATA power cables, 1 molex, and I believe a 4 pin cpu connector left after plugging in all drives and adding a 5 in 3 adapter. Have others limped along with Y connectors or has anyone swapped out the stock PSU for something more modern? It appears that the back of the case is made to allow for this but I wondered if anyone has done it already. Also, obviously I lose some redundancy over the stock PSUs.
  22. Like many others I bought the Natex package and am starting to tinker with Docker's and VMs. I'd like to add a USB 3.0 card to it in an attempt to install a windows VM with Oculus Rift. I've done a little searching and found a few questions on an add-on USB card but didn't see any glowing recommendations. Any recommended cards out there?
  23. Version 8? I knew they were holding out on me.
