Did you ever get this squared... I am experiencing the same. Passing through nvme controller...and booting winVM off of it. I did this previously without issues. Nuked the VM and started again, and this popped up. edit: actually I can no longer see the partitions.

I am not sure if I misread, but, it does not appear that there is any other dedicated graphics so I have to believe that unRAID Gui is grabbing the 1080. However, if that was the case then windows would not boot either. Can I ask what motherboard you are using in the build @Lytic

My last AMD build was a bulldozer fx4 series. My first love though, was a delidded opteron paired with a DFI board that just absolutely cooked. Looking at the new Ryzen chips.... it may be time to come back home. The 3950 is beastly! Apple Screen Share is by far the best VNC product, its latency is nominal and the UI rarely drops frames. RDP is also great for windows environments. What kind of monitor are you using? I was going to ask about final cut too

Same here... rx570 is driving graphics, but, not sound over HDMI

So I have been hammering on this thing for a bit. Large calls to sql database. Calculations across spreadsheets with thousands of cells and streaming content from plex container. Pretty damn smooth. I did notice that VNC performance was crap... but Splashtop seems to be solid. That said, I can not find a way to pass HDMI sound though so that is driving me bonkers. Trying Kext after kext, before I start messing with frame buffers ... and bork the install. Cheers Mate... have a great one. Edit: gonna try screens and see how that fares as well.

@Zer0Nin3r I haven't paced it out yet, but the first hour seemed standard fare. Two things to bare in mind... I am not using a "traditional" monitor. I use a Samsung un40h6350: 4K TV with 4 hdmi inputs. Only the first port supports 4k @ 60hz - and that has my 1070|win10 gaming VM passed through on it. So I am pushing 4k at 30hz on the rx570, so mouse tracking across all those pixels and real estate does make it feel a little jittery. Second, and this purely anecdotal ... on the same setup High Sierra felt snappier. Will report when I have more objective use. Edit: Party foul on me, one internet point deducted for double posting.

Have the same exact issue with a rx570.... nothing, and I MEAN nothing, gets macOS to see the rx570. EDIT: was able to get the rx570 passed through and accelerated by doing an "in-place" upgrade of High Sierra vdisk.

Has anyone successfully passed through an rx570 on latest Mojave (10.14.6)? I can boot successfully, but, card is not recognized. Monitor is black. I have tweaked clover (smbios) to no avail. Really need the video to be passedthourgh as Splashtop is not tenable for workflow. EDIT: FWIW I was able to passthrough the rx570 immediately on High Sierra. So I just did an in-place upgrade, adjusted the xml and we are in business (except for sound... still working on that).

MacOS Mojave sapphire rx570 pulse (2nd slot AORUS z390) (1070gtx in x16 lane) i9-9900k 16384mb 128gb vdsk I am able to boot into this machine, and connect via Splashtop or VNC. However the "passed through" card is not recognized in system info and projecting a black screen on attached monitor. Card has been checked in current slot against win10vm. Have tried multiple smbios configs to no avail. Could I simply be missing kext? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (the Saphirre is a known supported Polaris | Bios combo)

Would migrating an existing windows install using a physical disk to VM (using VM wiki) and then tweaking according to part 2 be advisable, or do you recommend a clean install? I want to get the best possible performance: with key/mouse/monitor/sound on server i6750k 32g ram 1070gtx Thanks!

Since the front end is just "re-themed", are there any improvements to backup engine in PRO? It took a healthy amount of time to back-up my 6.3TBs

Its double... per device. That's the part that rubs me wrong. I had 6 devices backing up on home (including my server)... that would take me from $129/yr to $720/yr... YIKES

Well isn't this a groin kick... My 6TB+ back-up just finished two days ago. That said, CP for small business does do unlimited storage, and, local backups. I think the most frustrating part is having to start a massive data backup from scratch. I will be buying an external drive for local backup, and, hope that it serves as a decent level of redundancy while I begin the process anew, closer to when my subscription ends. Hopefully a docker will be available by then.

I have done exactly this... and they still are producing errors in the log. Removed, and, reinstalled.

Questions: Is it possible to access the PMS device.xml profiles inside of the docker? These are not stored on /appdata ... so I imagine the resources are inside the container. Can one ssh into the container? I want to edit chromecast.xml to add hevc so my ULTRA direct plays, instead of transcodes my 4k media ...you can imagine in PINS my fx8350 and is unwatchable Seeing lots of success stories of hardware acceleration on discrete solutions... which is nice. However, while KVM gpu passthrough is a reality... will docker based passthrough be something tackled in the future?

Can unRAID pass through NVIDIA drivers to a container?

Are you just using a template... or going to CA, searching plex... click add and going through the process that way?

It has to be something I am doing. It was working fine, then I tried to tweak it to get plexpy to work. I am so new to unix, so I have little to offer by experience. It looks like it is calling to the daemon expecting a certain file @ /config/Library/Application Support and not finding it.
