So I dont have the new drives pre-cleared yet. I dont have USB cages so yeah. But this is the procedure I'm following; Empty Old drives Shutdown and replace drives Power on, recreate config without old drives Pre-clear while rebuilding the single parity Add new drives to array

Yes, already got another 16tb for parity_1 Just trying to figure put the best way to go about this. Dont fancy spending 10 days doing things in the wrong order

So, hopefully I explain this properly. I am upgrading my system with 2 new 16tb drives. But I'm at capacity for physical drives, so I'm swapping out 2 old 4tb drives. 1 of the 16tb will get added to create 2nd parity drive. The other 16tb will go in the array. What's my best way to go about doing it? Currently emptying the 2 x 4tb drives. But then what? I'm thinking Remove the drives > recreate config > add the new drives > pre-clear while rebuilding the single parity > add new drives Or should I do the clear-me script as well?

Hey guys, Woke up this morning to an OOM, i have no clue whats wrong. Never had one as far as i can remember, and wasnt doing anything extra on the NAS. So any help would be appreciated. The only other thing i have been doing is trying to find the cause of high CPU usage recently. I have been seeing 'lsof' process high CPU usage. I tracked down lots of old posts pointing to cache_dir plugins, and file activity plugins. So i uninstalled a bunch of plugins that i don't really use. Active Streams, cache dirs, file activity, system stats, gui links, open files. Maybe removing all those without a reboot, caused this OOM? Is there something known about high CPU usage? In my hunt for answers i found myself here. At first i was seeing 'SH' listed in htop, which is how i found out about cache_dirs, but after removing that plugin, the problem persisted, but changed to 'lsof'. I don't see high CPU from any of my dockers, although i have noticed that sabnzb doesn't register CPU usage for all processes. When an nzb has been downloaded and is being unpacked, docker reports 3-5% but my system is using 90-100%. Then once the unpack has finished, down to normal usage again. Unless im having the lsof issues as well. This was all before this morning reboot though. So maybe its gone now? I dont know yet. Thank you in advance hal-9000-diagnostics-20240428-0841.zip

I figured it out. DuckDNS can be used with sub-subdomains. Edit SWAG Docker as so; Then reboot the container, follow loggs to see it updating DNS records etc. Now I am able to use subdomains, and access immich; I'll set this as the answer to help any future peeps

Would i be better off buying a domain, and running everything in subdomains instead?

Hey, I'm having some problems getting Immich accessible via my SWAG proxy. Firstly, yes my SWAG is setup correctly, and up to date. I have Jellyfin running and accessible through my domain, so IUm pretty sure it's running just fine. I have everything setup through duckdns as so; mydomain.duckdns.org/jellyfin (This works just fine) mydomain.duckdns.org/radarr (This works just fine) mydomain.duckdns.org/sonarr (This works just fine) mydomain.duckdns.org/immich (Seems borked) I am not using subdomains because I cant get them to work. Only by editing the site configs, can I get things to work. I'm not too good at web proxy stuff. I know the proxy is working, because if i change anything, I get the nginx error page. But when i have it set to point to the correct port, I am met with an empty blank page. If i check the page source, it is identical to the page source for the locally accessed immich page (192.168.1.x:8282) What am i missing? I just want to use immich and have it run through my SWAG setup. Any help is very much appreciated.

Should we be worried? Or are we just waiting for a plugin update?

Been messing with it. And it would seem to me that plugins are now using more RAM, during Library Scans. When jellyfin updated to 10.6.0 I began having issues running out RAM. With me doing nothing to my setup, besides updating Jellyfin. I started taking out plugins, and now my RAM usage is under control (or atleast so far it is)

Hey, I did not. I backed up then deleted jellyfin in my appdata, then search for and installed jellyfin from CA. But I got that figured out, the full library scan wasn't adding anything. But running a scan on each library individually did the trick. Now I am back to square 1 though. I began this because jellyfin randomly started using up all my system RAM. Now i have a fresh install, re-added libraries, scanned everything in, and my rig is using 93% of the RAM. This was never an issue until the last 3 weeks maybe? She usually only runs at about 72% of my meagre 8GB.

And now, after a fresh install. Clean everything. Jellyfin wont detect my librarys

i just reinstalled from scratch. now to setup all over again.....yay

So, Trakt seems to work, but when i try with the default plugins, AudioDB and Musicbrainz both create the same xml file (MediaBrowser.Providers.xml), but that xml file has the problem of, not being read/edited by jellyfin.

Hey guys im having a problem. Dockers and plugins all updated a few days ago, and i've managed to narrow down my issues Jellyfin. My unraid machine will use up all the RAM, and grind to a halt. After lots and lots of turning Docker images on and off, its Jellyfin. After lots of rebooting, restarting, and removing plugins, i have found that the xml files in 'appdata/jellyfin/data/plugins' are not getting read. I stopped Jellyfin. I removed all the plugins and checked manually for any leftovers. Started Jellyfin, installed Kodi Sync Queue. Restarted, and altered the settings for KodiSQ to only hold 14 days. Restarted, the setting are back to default (0 days / Unlimited) So I check the xml file, and its set to 0 days. I edit the xml file, to be 14 days, restart, and the settings are default. So i try with AudioDB, just to set it to be Enabled for use. Same problem with the xml file. OK, i get your point. Anythign other than a password, is going to be simpler to steal/copy. I've just spent 2 days making it easier for someone to access my files. Even though i am running ftp on my phone, its still just a txt file with my password. Hmm, food for thought

Or add this advice to the 'help' section next to unlocking the array?
