  1. I was going to use my own, might even have one. Don't really care to be too picky. Just for a couple outside people to access Emby. Thanks
  2. Thanks! I guess I could just use duckdns.org?
  3. Hi Guys, Going to move back over to Emby for a bit, Plex seems to be very sluggish and glitchy lately. Does anyone have a fairly simple SSL guide because I want a couple people to connect remotely. I already have Let's Encrypt on Unraid. Not sure if there's away to incorporate that?
  4. Hi Delarius, Thanks for the input much appreciated. I might try one of those ideas The way I have done it right now. I'm in the process of copying the folders over to the Qnap that I want to sync with unraid on a regular basis. I'm using the Krusader docker and FileZilla. It looks like I can easily run a sync with Krusader whenever I want. Don't know if it will do it automatically or how well it will sync. I just started using it so I'm not real familiar with it yet. Looks like a good app. Ideally it would be good at some point if the process was automated. Not a big deal to start something manually every 3 0r 4 days. Better then what I had. The Qnap can now get a little use. LOL. Thanks again!
  5. Hi Guys, I would like to keep an extra backup of my Plex media folders backed up to a Qnap. It is just sitting there doing nothing. I have to get them over there, so I was going to FTP them. As far as keeping the media in sync between the servers, what’s the best option? I don’t want to have to keep moving the entire folders all the time because they are fairly large. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks
  6. That's what I thought but wasn't sure. If I do It, I will back the data up, format both dives. move the data back and then add the 256g drive. Thank you
  7. Hi. I haven't setup a cache drive, but in the process of considering it. I currently have all my dockers and appdata on a 500g ssd. Can I convert that unassigned device drive to a cache drive without moving or losing the data? I'm also also going to activate a second 256g ssd as a cache backup. Correct me if I'm wrong. When you add a second cache drive will automatically mirror the first drive? I thought it might not be a bad idea because these ssds are not part of my array. Thanks Hope everybody has a good weekend.
  8. Absolutely!!! Good point for anyone that is following. I have done that. I have my SSD plugged into USB port. Very easy to swap out, just reload data and I'm back in business. FYI: I have all appdata on this SSD. It's a regular backup from one location. Good to hear other peoples thoughts. This way may not be the best way to do it. Hopefully I don't find out the hard way. Thanks
  9. Good to know. I'm leaning that way as well. Even sending my downloads to it. Very easy for me to replace it. Less expensive then my 10Tb array drives. Thanks Hoopster.
  10. Thanks for taking the time to give me your input. I'm leaning towards running the Plex off the ssd drive. It is a separate drive away from the array. If it goes bad it's easily replaced. Running from a usb, so I just pull it out and plug a new one in, restore the backup. This will save some wear on the more expensive 10tb array drives, where there's a lot more data. These drives are built to run, you have made some good points. Thanks again
  11. Hi, I have all appdata from my dockers going to an Ssd drive. I just noticed that my Plex data is not on the Ssd. Not sure why, might have just forgot to move it. Is it too much wear and tear for the Ssd to pull the Plex data from there all the time? The Ssd is a Unassigned device I just use for appdata. Thanks
  12. I have a M.2 SSD drive that I use just for my AppData, the docker img is in a different location. This drive has went bad, temperature spike and it sometimes won't spin up. I was able to get it up long enough to backup the AppData to the /mnt/user/CommunityApplicationsAppdataBackup location. Do I just need to change the location of the AppData for each docker to the new drive, then import the Backup to the new ssd location? Personally for me I'm not going to use M.2 drives anymore. I have lots of ventilation, but I just think it is a dude, it's about 7 months old. (Samsung EVO 960). They run too warm for my liking anyway. Good drives just not for my setup. I have a fairly new SSD that was in my laptop, going to use that one, plug it into the usb port. I could connect it with the other drives but this is easier for now. Thanks
  13. I spent a number of hours with the same issue. I tried everything SMB v1 etc... I can confirm to do this first before wiping off your computer or doing anything else. I reloaded the operating system for nothing. Thank you for this! Thank you Microsoft for making our lives more difficult again. I was seriously considering downgrading the operating system. LOL
  14. Sorry, curious what brand did you buy? Looks like drive jumps from 30 to the 40s when it's being worked. Might go get a heatsink myself.
  15. Thanks for the reply Trurl. For some reason the drive is working. Don't ask me why...Lol I'm wondering if the USB is stating to go. I did push on it when I was putting something else in one of the other usb ports. Maybe somehow it was loose. I do think this drive is going bad. Still showing those errors in the disk logs. I checked while I was typing this. FYI: From what I was told the danger zone for the M2 drive is 68. Mine was at 44 so it wasn't heat related. Personally I think 44 is a little high.
  16. I posted this before and I guess no one else has the issue or it's not fixable. I have a Ryzen 8 core 16 thread cpu. With nothing running some of the cores are in the red at 100%. It did not do this on version 6.5, it did it really bad on 6.6.6, so I put the latest 6.7 0n. Not as bad but still does it. I'm assuming this is related to the Ryzen CPU. I have attached an image.
  17. Hi Guys, I have my Unraid mapped to my Windows 10 desktop. I can access all my folders from windows, and I could access my Samsung_SSD_960_EVO_250GB drive in the (M2 Slot) Now I can't, and the SSD is showing the following errors below. I have my dockers installed on this drive, obviously the dockers won't load. The drive seems to be in there fairly tight. This is also causing reboot issues. Can't shutdown unless I do a hard power down with the button. Drives only 6 months old. It looks more like a disconnection error, I don't know. I'm also having issues with the webui, just seems to hang there, pretty much have to shutdown and bootup to get back in. Any help is appreciated. 18. Hi Guys, I sent this to Nordvpn, but I was curious if anyone else had speed issues with SABnzbVPN or their vpn in general. Unraid Ryzen 8 core 16 thread cpu. 32 gigs of ram. My internet is fibre 360mbs down and 30mbs up. My router is an Asus Ac-5300 Tri-Band. I'm using the latest version of Merlin Firmware on it My internet provider is cogeco. I'm about an hour from Toronto where a lot of these vpn providers have servers, or so they say. I have openvpn set up on the router with Nordvpn, so that it connects to the server's individual ips that I want on my vpn. The problem is I can only achieve 5mbs of download speed. I'm using SABnzbVPN. I was thinking of connecting to the vpn directly in SAB, not sure if it would make a difference. I know Nordvpn doesn't support portforwarding. FYI: Had the same speed issues with PIA I know about using the closes servers, switching between UPD and TCP, trying different servers. Using p2p, which made it worse I have tried everything. I know it depends on the speed of your internet. I don't expect great speeds, but 5mbs? With the equipment I'm using it's not that bad...LOL I have read about a number of people getting 20 to 50mbs on smaller internet packages and equipment. I have done speed tests on my internet and it is functioning properly. I'm thinking it is being blocked somewhere. Is it possible that the ports 1194 /443 are being blocked by my isp? My router has the default firewall wall button on. Anybody got any ideas? Maybe change ports on SAB, Usenet. Pretty much out ideas. Might just have to accept the fact that this is the way it is, or try another VPN. Not so sure that will make a difference. Thanks This might help someone else. This is the response from Nordvpn. I get the impression he didn't read much of my email...LOL The downside to OpenVPN is that in its current architecture, it is not scalable. It runs as a monolithic process and cannot run multi-threaded. This means that if you have a beefy processor with 8 cores and each of the core has 8 threads, OpenVPN will use only a single thread in one of the available cores. Regarding routers - they do not have powerful CPUs, thus encrypting and decrypting OpenVPN traffic is a real challenge for them. For that reason, the speed can drop by a large amount. You could try increasing your speed by connecting to a few different servers (preferably to the ones in yours or neighbouring country), changing between TCP and UDP, enabling QoS and changing Upload and Download to 100Mbps, disabling SPI Firewall and NAT Acceleration (if your router has one). You could also try looking for the most optimal MTU value on your router which could be in the range from 1300 to 1500. If these changes do not help and you are getting better speeds while connected to the same servers with our software on your computer, then, unfortunately, your router's hardware cannot encrypt the internet traffic fast enough and this is the reason for speed drop. In this case, there is nothing that I can suggest you, unfortunately.
  19. Hi Everybody, I wasn't going to post this, and I was just going to wait for the the next update. I was curious if I was the only one having this issue on 6.6.6. I have a Ryzen 8 core 16 thread cpu. It hardly ever peaks past 50 percent even with 3 Plex streams. I just happen to notice some of threads were maxing out at 100%. I've never seen this before. This was happening with 3 dockers turned on and no Plex streams or downloads. Nothing heavy running. I decided to downgrade to the previous version of Unraid, and it went away. I have just left it the way it is. I have attached an image of what it was doing with barely anything running.
  20. Thank you, go grab a domain and give it a go.
  21. I have the linuxserver/letsencrypt docker of Let's Encrypt. I was just reading about the nginx proxy manager. It suppose to be pretty easy. Might give that ago. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!
  22. Hi, Switched to Emby from Plex. I like their design concepts a little better, Plex has been a little glitchy as of late. I already bought a lifetime license a few years ago., so going to try again. The issue I have is I would like to offer Emby remotely to a couple people. What is the easiest way to get SSL working with it? I have Let's Encrypt on the server for local network connections. Anyway to incorporate that into Emby? Thanks
