  1. Maybe everything will "just work" in 6.2 ?? After all, it wasn't like Linus was talking about CPU pinning & latencies in his 7 Gamers 1 CPU video. Since LTT is kinda anonymous here (I did PM JonP more than a week ago) I wonder....
  2. That link is the answer IMHO. Can someone translate it into English? ;-) I think it's telling us how to assign cores!!
  3. Could you not run a script from the "live VM" that is basically "virsh destroy Win10 && virsh start Linux" ??
  4. Somehow I don't think he is interested in sharing info, more about promoting his "achievements"
  5. Yeah I know.. 6.2 has some VM improvements (nebulous PM from JonP) which I am told I would like.. and since my VM has gone all crappy I could do with some positive news
  6. Thanks. It was already set to 48Khz Yes, it is same Win10VM, sound coming from the HDMI audio device on the VGA card.
  7. You running 6.1.8? I am... and have similar issues. It worked fine under 6.1.7 with different CPU/Mobo and seeing the recent issues of a few people makes me wonder if it is 6.18 related?
  8. I have the same sort of problem with a W10 VM with AMD card and HAVE applied the MSI audio fix. So, there is two of us!
  9. Just upgraded my 4790K Z97 system to a E5-2670 X79. So from 4 cores at 4.5GHz to 8 cores at 3GHz (and older chip family). I gave the VM 4 physical and 4 HT cores and 8Gb Ram Now my W10 VM is pretty useless. If I move the mouse quickly it jumps around like its registered only bits of movement. If I play a YouTube video I get Buzz/Barp sounds every couple of seconds or more often even when doing nothing else If I open a couple of Chrome tabs.. well occasionally the VM just stops for a few seconds. I did the MSI fix. No change. I tried it on other PCI devices. Didnt take for VirtIO Balloon Driver and Intel 82371SB PCI to USB Univ Host controller. The whole point of getting an 8 core Xeon was so I could run a decent Win10 VM, unRAID and maybe another lesser specced VM. Any ideas? I'm wondering about putting the machine back to the 4790K
  10. Would an accurate summary of the choices be: 1) Passthrough specific devices which need to be plugged in at the time of passthru and NO swapping later or 2) Passthrough whole controller (and can swap later) No passthrough of individual ports possible?
  11. You should just change the port using the docker settings not within Sab. That's probably why it keeps reverting.
  12. Great thread but due to time moving on many are no longer available.. Can the OP update? Or can we update for him? http://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=gehatx&xf=539_9#xf_top (here are 22 candidates as at 16/2/16 available for sale in UK) I'm sure someone could do a similar search on Newegg or similar for USA
  13. I dont give a **** how fast it is copying but a progress indicator would be useful. 10/20/30/40/50% etc complete... Would be informative

There are some... https://hub.docker.com/search/?isAutomated=0&isOfficial=0&page=1&pullCount=1&q=phpbb&starCount=0 You have to do a manual install though.. I suspect what you are looking for is one supported by the Community Applications Plugin? If so, then you'll need to request one somewhere where the repo operators invite requests. My pet fave dockers are from Linuxserver.io and LS.io do have a place to put requests (I've asked for LazyLibrarian and had other requests met such as NZBHydra)... So, in summary... LS.io is the docker repo you are probably looking for
  15. yes, restarting the container will fetch any updates at startup. I can't seem to get it to take the revised icon so maybe it needs change at your end? Could you borrow sdesbure#s icon which IS visible on a Dark themed unRAID? https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sdesbure/docker-containers/master/images/jackett-icon.png
  16. What about CD/DVD? I might want to pass an actual device to my Windows VM rather than an ISO image. Does that count as one of my 12 "storage devices"?
  17. Was thinking exactly same as OP... My initial thought was that cache wasn't really storage. Oh well..
  18. Microcontainers are less important if all your Dockers are based on same base image... hence why I almost exclusively use LS.io's Dockers
  19. Even if it didnt... how about this https://github.com/cloudimmunity/docker-slim
  20. Google is your friend. A quick search found this site: http://www.binarytides.com/linux-command-check-memory-usage/ As I read it, you have quite a bit of overhead available. I had done free and cat /proc/meminfo (hence info above)... but I also found the caches didnt clear. Have cleared them and have free memory now but the web interface is still very sluggish. Maybe best to let this 1st pre-clear finish and then stop. Reboot server and do passes 2 & 3 ...
  21. My array is NOT started (I have some problems) and I have four 5Tb drives running preclear via the plugin and I am out of memory (on 32Gb system).... I have 99% in use! total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 31939 31773 165 0 30078 322 -/+ buffers/cache: 1372 30566 Swap: 0 0 0 Total: 31939 31773 165 Do I have to stop pre-clear and do them one at a time? The command below seems to NOT show Preclear doing all the memory hogging??? Any ideas? I'm already over 2 days in and rather kill it now and start again than waste even more time??! ps -eo size,pid,time,args --sort -size SZ PID TIME COMMAND 204004 1359 00:00:02 /usr/sbin/rsyslogd -i /var/run/rsyslogd.pid 69464 13821 00:01:33 /usr/local/sbin/emhttp 68412 1686 00:00:03 /usr/sbin/ntpd -g -p /var/run/ntpd.pid 5096 15228 00:06:42 /usr/bin/tmux new-session -d -x 140 -y 200 -s preclear_disk_sdb 4996 4759 01:21:59 /bin/bash /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 -r 65536 -b 128 -w 65536 -b 128 -f -J /dev/sdf 4996 15238 01:22:51 /bin/bash /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 -r 65536 -b 128 -w 65536 -b 128 -f -J /dev/sdb 4996 15424 01:21:34 /bin/bash /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 -r 65536 -b 128 -w 65536 -b 128 -f -J /dev/sde 4996 18537 00:00:00 /bin/bash /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 -r 65536 -b 128 -w 65536 -b 128 -f -J /dev/sde 4996 18538 00:00:00 /bin/bash /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 -r 65536 -b 128 -w 65536 -b 128 -f -J /dev/sde 4996 19849 01:22:12 /bin/bash /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -c 3 -r 65536 -b 128 -w 65536 -b 128 -f -J /dev/sdc 4432 13938 00:00:00 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/unbalance/unbalance -port 6237
  22. http://postimg.org/image/scmuhsjtb/ I had 3 drives in Cache pool but needed one for another use. The cable also dropped out and unRAID seemed fine with 2 drives. Question is how to safely remove the empty slot pictured above? Do I just unassign the cache drives from their current slots and move them to the slots 1 & 2 (from 2 & 3) ?? Everything works fine.. but it just bugs me that empty slot!
