I was referring to the kernel issue causing the shares disappearing...not the cache.

Hmmm...that's what's making the shares disappear? Because they're still there since my last reboot...knock on wood... The server is QUITE old...I suppose something in there could be starting to crap out...

Cache drive is still showing up as needing to be formatted...

Updated to 6.11.3 and rebooted. Shares are there...for now...

Shares disappeared again...wtf is going on...

Seems like the shares are sticking around now but I still seem to be having TONS of permissions issues...my Plex container is telling me this... ...and my ZeroTier container is telling me this... Anyone have any idea what's going on or something I could try? Cache is still saying "unmountable", too...what a cluster...

Aaaaaaaaaaaand the shares disappeared again, just as was happening to other people in this other thread. I rebooted and tried running chmod as mentioned in that other thread and it worked. We'll see if it makes any differences long-term. Anyone have any idea why my cache disk is suddenly unmountable? I don't want to format it and lose whatever's on it...anyone have an idea to get it back without formatting it? I'm thinking I may just have to format it...

I rebooted and chmod worked. We'll see if that changes anything in the long term...I'm having the same "disappearing shares" issues as others above.

Rebooted again and all my shares are back. That's nice. Gotta say, that doesn't instill great faith in this operating system... Either way, all that's back. Some Dockers are back up and running, which is awesome, but I also have a bunch of them not acting right. Going to have to go through and see wtf is up in the morning. Good times.

I've added more space recently and yea, definitely want more space on the disks...is there a way to "balance" them?

Hey, @Squid...I ran these and this was the output. First one looks normal(ish) but the second one? No idea. "Transport endpoint is not connected"? Same thing when I try to change permissions as mentioned previously. I just made a thread about my specific issues...log and some more details can be found here.

Also just noticed my cache drive apparently has no FS...seems kinda strange, but maybe that's why?

Good afternoon: I had my server flat out crash a couple days ago for the first time in literally years. Thought I got it back up and running but, as time goes on, the more issues I find. Maybe you all have seen/heard of some of this stuff before and could point me in the right direction... First issue - All of my Docker containers were gone. I've actually had this happen before, went in and got them all added back, thought that was it. Second issue - Noticed that none of them appeared to be working. Looked at the logs and noticed they all seemed to be saying something about directories not existing or something. Weird. Third issue - Did some more digging and found these "path does not exist" errors... Fourth issue - Opened up the command line to try to go there and see what was up and got the bizarre "transport endpoint is not connected" error that is also pictured. It's a Proliant server...there are no SATA cables or splitters or anything. And yea...it's pretty full. I need to add another couple disks. As far as replacing the parity disk, do I just take the array down, yank that disk, put the new one in and start the array back up? Or is there more to it?

Uh oh...my parity disk has 992 errors on it! Looks like it's giving up the ghost. As far as replacing it goes, this is what I found. Is it really as simple as array offline, old disk out, new disk in, array online? That's what it seems to say even though it's not quite the procedure I'm looking for. Is there better info somewhere? Also...I know the parity disk dying right now isn't really that big of a deal as long as an error doesn't occur on another disk (or more?). What happens if another drive DOES die before I can get the parity disk replaced? Is ALL data gone or just the corrupt data on that disk? Info: unRAID version - 6.8.3 Array details - Six 8TB drives, five data, one parity, 40TB total, 36.8TB used. (Yes, I'm a data hoarder...) Other disks - 1TB SATAIII cache disk, 2 other random SATAIII disks that aren't a part of the array. Hardware - Running on an HP Proliant server with 2 Xeons, 64GB RAM, etc. Its old. Need to upgrade. 🤣 Thanks!

I just noticed...for some reason, the missing files have a path that doesn't exist for some reason. Fixing it, hitting search and re-downloading. No idea what happened but we'll see how this goes.

Anyone else ever have movie files disappear randomly? I just noticed that I have a LOT of files that have seemingly decided not to stick around for the long haul. No idea why. I KNOW I had them before, but now they're gone. The directories are still there but they're empty. I think it's something going on with Radarr as, even if I scan, it's still showing all the files as downloaded. Any ideas? This is really weird...
