  1. anyone here can please point me to how to set up the server to be accessed remotely?
  2. you can start with the following: dockers > add container > (see below) and then hit apply. you‘ll see it with other containers on the main page. keep in mind there are some issues in regards to folder privilege and other aforementioned problems. but this is a good place to start.
  3. cheers for pushing the new update, but i don't see any changes regarding the ownership of the files even after adding key variables. also, soulseek settings are maintained as long as i don't edit the docker‘s template. any edit on the template, soulseek loses all configurations and have to resort to importing last saved config data and re-login. like mentioned before, the appdata config path appears to be empty.
  4. whenever changing the dockers template soulseek loses its configurations, any idea why is that happening and how to go about fixing it? it doesn't seem to save anything on /appdata folder either.
  5. guess it is better investing those 11 dollars to treat my belly with a burrito!
  6. okay… so let us say would this affect the performance of preclear, parity check, plex analysis, folder caching, and copying files from unassigned drives to array significantly?
  7. this is a retired old pc of mine, used almost ten years ago, for couple of years only, as a daily driver/gaming machine. i was about to throw it for scraps or give away its parts before a friend of mine suggested i turn it into an unraid nas as i had storage and also physical space problems with around 6–8x2tb wds lying around. this idea never even occurred to me in the first place, so why not have fun with it now! it has been running quite fantastic since december last year, and been serving me well in regards to my storage issues. it is not perfect, but it does the job. and as of now, only looking to add more memory and "horsepower" in it to reach its max.
  8. so in theory, this slashes half the time i wait to do a certain process?
  9. modified e5450 works on lga 775… and it's only 11 dollar upgrade.
  10. as the title suggests, since it is cheap anyways, i am thinking about upgrading my current processor from e8400 to e5450, but wondering if it would yield any benefits in my case. regularly, my unraid is used as nas for movies and music. occasionally, for encoding/re-encoding, and copying/backing up files to and from unassigned drives into array. current os: unraid 6.7.0 motherboard: ep43-ud3l cpu: e8400 ram: g.skill 2x2gb (4gb total) gpu: xfx radeon hd 5750 (off topic) also while i am at it, the chipset on this board does not support vt-d which renders the gpu in the system "useless." is there any way i could benefit from it here? cheers
  11. as usual @SpaceInvaderOne to the rescue. very simple walkthrough, should be easy to follow it with not issues. cheers mate, very much appreciated.
  12. meaning swapping sticks (without key files). btw new machine is setup on trial already.
  13. hello, before going ahead and purchasing an upgrade key (from basic to plus) for my nas server and getting another new key (basic) for a new machine, i was wondering if it is possible to transfer my current (basic on nas server) key to another stick for a new machine and purchase a (plus) key and install it on the current nas server stick? thank you
  14. system temp does not detect motherboard's (prime x470-pro) sensors when pressed, and yes perl is installed via nerd pack. any idea why?
  15. fantastic, gonna give it a try. btw, read that using displayport instead gives you sound! any luck with that? don't have dp cable myself to try it atm. edit: also, if you have any idea about this, could you mirror screen using airplay and get sound with roccat juke and gpu?
  16. thanks a bunch my friend, been fighting with this for few days then had to give up and turn to veterans like yourself for help. not the first time you do so, really appreciative of your time. cheers and have a good one
  17. switching back to uefi to check that message again, will update you in minutes update: here is what it says (code 43)
  18. i love you ❤️ this fixed it for me… currently running the primary gpu on mac through hdmi log so any setback i should expect running unraid on legcay mode?
  19. here you go brother yes, booting from uefi as we speak. will give this a try and post an update. not insisting at all, whichever works i will go for it. kept running secondary for windows vm to avoid not being able to run vm as it is more important than mac as of now. so out of curiosity, is there a reason why i should be running windows vm using primary? machine-diagnostics-20190815-1232.zip
  20. primary gpu passedthrough (windows) secondary gpu passedthrough (windows) primary gpu passedthrough (mac) hangs on load. this is taken from my phone this is how it is on remote client log is the same as windows on primary gpu secondary gpu passedthrough (mac)
  21. okay, i will give this a try as last resort before opening up the setup actually unraid was shutdown entirely secondary gpu works fine both ways, on mac and windows, except not getting sound on mac which is an entirely different/unrelated topic. but the main reason for this build is the need for both vms to run simultaneously. primary gpu for a mac workstation, secondary gpu for gaming windows. but getting the primary gpu to work seems to be troublesome on either vms. attached is the vm log when used on windows
  22. apologies for lesser detailing… more below high sierra xml (primary gpu): <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <domain type='kvm' xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0'> now-primary gpu into secondary pci-e and dump vbios, then place it back on primary pci-e and try it, instead of dumbing vbios of the now-secondary gpu, which is the same specimen, and using it? as mentioned, i was unable to passthrough primray gpu even with windows. got it to work only once, in the first time after dumbing vbios from secondary and running it on windows vm, but overnight and on next day trying it on mac vm it stopped working even when put back to windows. please let me know if you require more information. and thanks for the help
  23. so as the title suggests, after numerous attempts in the past few days, i am unable to run high sierra on my primary gpu (gtx 970) using both dumped bios and edited bios methods. my setup is running two vms, high sierra w/ primary gpu, and windows 10 with secondary gpu. setup on unraid 6.7.2 amd ryzen 7 2700x asus prime x470-pro (4207) 2x nvidia gtx 970 when starting vm w/ primary gpu bios, apple boot hangs around 25% and screen is split of unraid cmd on the upper half and black dots, yet vm still working with remote client without recognized graphics vm runs normal with secondary gpu (gtx 970) passedthrough was able to get primary gpu passed only once on windows alongside secondary gpu, and it was immediately after using dumbed bios from secondary gpu. not anymore trying to passthrough primary gpu on both vms don't work primary gpu works fine on unraid gui mode and bare metal this is obviously a gpu bios issue, if i am correct. any idea how i could go about this? cheers
