Lost access to samba from windows 10 VM
I lost samba access after a VM switch to another VM. I shut down windows 10 vm, booted up a MacOS VM and shut it down after 10 minutes. Rebooted windows 10 VM and lost access to all samba shares (both private and globally shared) Restarted array - rebooted server - still no access... Connectivity is fine - ip is acquired - internet access - unraid webui access uninterrupted. Writing this post from my VM right now. No special samba config - latest version of unraid - had problems with with samba in 6.10 that was temporarily fixed with 6.10.2 My win 10 laptop and ipad have samba access with no problems in r/w. Diagnostics attached. Windows 10 vm stutter / lag issues
Emulator cores should be free non pinned cores outside the vm core range. I think it works better this way. IOthread as well. XMP profiles? I ditched the xmp and lowered my memory frequency fro increased stability. The performance difference is minimal. Here is my fully working lag free vm template. Windows 10 vm stutter / lag issues
I would try to set up windows with i440fx-4.2 instead of q35 for start. Would add to the cputune section of the xml these lines, adjusted for your case: <emulatorpin cpuset='5,13'/> <iothreadpin iothread='2' cpuset='4,12'/> Make sure you have installed virtio-drivers and you don't have any unknown devices in windows device manager. I had a little bit of stuttering myself in a windows machine and solved it by pinning the first 8 threads on my 2700 and not the last ones. I think that the pci and sata link works better this way.
