Folder/File Structure Support
So, I've tried removing it.. and tried moving Disk 8 to slot 7. Unraid claims it becomes an invalid configuration, and I can't switch from 10 slots to 9.

Folder/File Structure Support
I used it to attach my cache drives and a ninth Exos drive. I would rather not, but it was the first server I built.. and I've learned what I'm not doing next time. LOL I'm just happy it's working out as I was pretty low on storage before adding it, and swapping other drives. Never building a 2U server again.

Alright, I'll have me a poke around. No hardware or OS errors for me to check on aside from checking on duplicates?

Folder/File Structure Support
Unsurprisingly.. and yes, I disabled them both.

If anyone is still around, here's the 4th. Mover didn't seem to do anything. I did things as you suggested, and it was like a blip. I hit move and it just refreshed the page. It wasn't grey out for even a second. *shrug* I may have to get enough storage setup so I can move everything off my unRAID server and start from scratch. Another server I have running is slowing growing in storage size, so one day I'll be able to. unraid-diagnostics-20220831-1800.zip

What is your go-to HDD manufacturer?
I was always a Maxtor junkie before Seagate bought 'em. I wasn't sure what brand to get after, so I tried WD, and after I had my WD Black fail on me, I went off to Seagate and have been quite happy.. aside from the prices remaining seemingly high. I'll have to maybe give WD's enterprise grade drives a try.

The next generation - M12SWA, Threadripper Pro
What container is that Networking Refresh window from? Epic build. What's the model number of that Intel drive? I'm aiming for more of an Epyc setup.. or was. Threadripper would be pretty good for unRAID, but the price of the M12SWA in Canada is bordering $1000. Regarding our messages, this build thread answers pretty much answers my questions!

From what you said the other day about 6.11 making NerdPack obsolete the other day, I'm not worrying about NerdPack anymore. Totals - Containers: 22.7GB; Writable: 1.05GB; Log: 751MB As for getting Mover to move files to and from the array and cache, that's helpful to know!

Ah alright.. fair enough.

What is your go-to HDD manufacturer?
I have four 4TB Ironwolfs, three 16TB Exos and a fourth as a cold spare, five 10TB Exos, and an 8TB Exos. They're all doing quite well, most of them are used. The only drive I've had show signs of bad health is a 4TB WD Black. Blacky though, is a consumer grade drive.. so unfair comparison I guess. That is what has kept me away from WD as a whole. Different luck for everyone. If we wanna see where some of these drives have better results, maybe we can do by country. Canada here.

What's that suppose to mean?

Folder/File Structure Support
I had posted them just before rebooting. I'll be stopping the array after it has finished a parity check - currently just over 75% at time of typing, to disable disk shares. My user shares have shown up and I'm able to access them from other computers. There will be a new diagnostics attachment after.

Bloody hell? They're all there.. *scratches chin* Now I'm curious as to why I see all my individual drives showing when I sign into my shares..

Folder/File Structure Support
I have two 16TB Exos drives for parity. Drive #7 is physically removed, not sure why it sits there.. but the emulated storage is empty. When I setup Unraid for the first time I knew nothing of Docker or how much/little space it would use, so 40GB it was. Yes, some of my drives are pretty full. 54 of 74TB used. No idea as to why there would be so many .cfg's in config/shares. Is there a specific directory they're in.. or are they all over? I'm guessing the latter. I'll reboot now. Hopefully nothing goes fuck-side-up during reboot. *lmao* How stable is 6.11?

One does not exist - user. My shares migrated fine from 6.9.3 to 6.10.3.. my fuckery though the other night when I was cleaning (maybe too well), is when it happened. *shrug* Also, how can one successfully update the plug-ins in the NerdPack? It goes through the list, but never actually does anything. I had no trouble installing some new ones.

If there are no exportable shares, is that because they are owned by "nobody"?
-
Folder/File Structure Support
I can't seem to add shares.. or see my old ones. What's the best way to get past this one? Maybe try and find the service to restart it..

Folder/File Structure Support
It used to be user. I don't much care about the name of the folder, just that things are working. I mean I could try renaming it.. haha! I would like to move my appdata & system folders to a dedicated SSD - or a mirrored SSD setup. Maybe share it with my Jellyfin metadata. Is this gonna be an issue, or am I best off finding 56TB of space on another machine and starting from scratch?

Somehow I'm getting things to function.. slowly. I dunno how or what made "user0" exist, but we're grabbing it by the horns and whispering dirty things in its ears.

So, Dynamix File Editor can be a good tool. Too bad there's not much information on Unraid's file structure to make sure one doesn't move stuff that shouldn't be moved. Files & folders I have put on the server are still in tact, and can be seen with Terminal (Mac) and Dynamix File Editor (WebGUI). Krusader can't see them, the "media" folder where Unraid presents data from, "media" thinks it's a file, even reporting a file size of 2 bytes. *facepalm* Unraid does this thing where it annoys you when you have files in places you have told Unraid not to put them. I went to task and put them where they belonged - eg.: "appdata" folders that were scattered across the array, were relocated to the cache drives. "user" - I forget where in the file structure it belonged, but it seems to not exist. "user0" exists somewhere, somehow.. but has yet to be found in the file structure with Krusader. Found it with Terminal. cd ../mnt/ The above lists all the drives individually - disk1-8, along with user and user0 I would start from scratch if I had a way to move the data off the array and a separate computer/server to adopt the data, as I don't know how the drives will be treated in another temporary setup - 56TB is on the line. Something I'll be investing in after this is a separate drive for appdata & system files/folders. I don't mind having to redo my containers as most of them don't function anyhow and haven't had much time to fix 'em. Thanks in advance for anyone willing to get me through this!

Unraid on Supermicro SATA SuperDOM / SATADOM?
Aren't USB sticks prone to death though? I'm sure it won't work without a lot of hassle cause Unraid wants a UUID from a USB stick. A SataDOM as the host drive, or mirrored host, would certainly be welcomed! One of the things that irk me about Unraid requirements. *rolls eyes*

msftncsi.com Connectivity Check
I have learned today that Unraid 6.10.2/3 require access to msftncsi.com to check for internet connectivity. I suppose this feature might be more beneficial to those that use the "My Servers" plug-in. Would it be possible to remove the requirement for a domain all together, or be able to change the one it uses to check connectivity? Thanks!
