  1. So...After all this time...has anyone come up with a way to simply do this? It seams like UnRaid should have such an option built in or that at least someone would have published a plugin or something to do it.
  2. Hi... Typing to use this to make a backup of my Docker AppData directory from cache. It seems to look like it will work, but I am running into permission issues. Example... "send_files failed to open "/Source/cache/appdata/couchpotato/data/cache/python/fcdc768d3cdfdb11034d3d67843355f2": Permission denied (13)" "opendir "/Source/cache/appdata/mysql/databases/performance_schema" failed: Permission denied (13)" It was running... rsync -rau --progress --rsh=ssh /Source/cache/appdata/ /Backups Not sure what this runs under, but surely it does not have the permissions it needs. Oh, where is the "delete" option to remove files that are no longer in the source directory? I guess I am just trying to keep a current copy incase my cache drive fails. Or is there an option to remove all the files before it copies? Also, it would be nice to be able to have it run commands before and then after. Like stopping and starting Docker to be safer. But maybe something else can do that right before??? Thank for the help.
  3. Safe mode? Never knew their was one. I guess I am kind of glad I did not know that.
  4. I still have this issue and it is not blockers or anything. It also is not the server waiting to do something as it is mostly idle. As he also mentioned, as I did, if you run it manually it comes right up. It will not however show up where it should inside that window that it opens. There is a bug somewhere.
  5. Not on a log in UniFi. In the UNRIAD syslog. I can install, start, it makes the files in the unifi directory however I can not get the page to load. I have no port conflicts. That error is repeated over and over.
  6. Hi David, you don't have much luck with these do you? I don't use it, but just pulled it to check and here's my log... ----------------------------------- _ _ _ | |___| (_) ___ | / __| | |/ _ \ | \__ \ | | (_) | |_|___/ |_|\___/ |_| Brought to you by linuxserver.io ----------------------------------- GID/UID ----------------------------------- User uid: 99 User gid: 100 ----------------------------------- We are now refreshing packages from apt repositorys, this *may* take a while (Reading database ... 15447 files and directories currently installed.) Just wondering if it took a dump during the initial setup and has kind of got caught in limbo... Have you ever managed to reach the webui? Hi... Yes, not much luck. And to think I was getting a handle on it...or I thought. The log looks more or less the same for me in what you show right down to the version at the end. I did delete the appdata inside unifi and it does recreate it. The error I have is shown inside the system log file.
  7. Hi All... I installed UniFi and it does make the needed items in the appdata area, but in the syslog I receive... shfs/user: shfs_write: write: (22) Invalid argument ...over and over until I stop UniFi. Anyone seen this? I have removed it and even reinstalled it and stopped and started the server. Same thing. Thanks
  8. Hi... Quick question...Does Crashplan Desktop need to be running all the time or just Crashplan? Is the desktop just needed in order to set it and or change it etc? I ask for config.sh runs all the time at like a 15% CPU load. If I turn off Crashplan Desktop, config.sh stops. Thanks
  9. OK, I found this post where seems to have worked. I did this not knowing if something was already in the docker. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=36760.msg342867#msg342867
  10. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Was looking to be able to re-encode lossless audio files during processing and the setting says..."This option requires the lame, ffmpeg or xld encoder" (Libav is also int the drop down.) So the question is...which one is included in the docker as I can not seem to find any reference to it. If one is not included...can you please advise which one to setup and how to do so? Thanks!
  11. Thanks...I got it working with the above suggestions. So, I was running Crashplan on an windows machine that had a mapped drive S: that went into my USER share so I could see areas like Photos, Companies, etc. Then I could tell CrashPlan to backup those directories. I have now taken over the backup set from that machine for this new install to continue with. Of course, I have no mapped drive letter that the backup set is looking for. I can see the user shares that were being backed up under File System /data. So the question is, how do get the system use a mapped S: drive so it will continue? My fear is that if I add the /data path and check off directories I want backed up, it would back all the directories up again when what I really need it to do is sync. Anyone run into this?
  12. Hi... Well, I just went to take over the backup for the other machine and all seemed to be working. Even if I look on-line at my account I can see the server name is now the name of that backup set. However, it also seemed to have done an upgrade or something. I did not notice the version it was...but now it is ver 4.4.1 and it reads "Unable to connect to the backup engine" when it is trying to start. I have restarted both dockers and have the same issues.
  13. Ah...Thank you for letting me know as I would have not thought that. Using my MAC, I am able to bring up the desktop and CrashPlan! Next on the list is Kodi Head-end and MySQL for the Kodi database. (That does not look like fun.)
  14. Thank you kindly. I have now installed both. The question is how do I now get to the GUI of the desktop part? I tried using a web browser and going to my server at 192.168.1.200:3389 but it just fails with ERR_CONNECTION_RESET. I wanted to get to the GUI so I can then set it to backup to the cloud the shares I would like it to. Here is what shows in the DeskTop log... 15. Hi... Ok, I am wondering as I could not seem to find the answer. Is this only to allow another machine to use crashplan to backup to my UnRAID server or does this allow for me to select directories etc to send to a CrashPlan cloud backup server? Right now I use a separate Windows machine that is mapped to the unRAID server that sends files to the CrashPlan cloud. I am looking to remove that machine and I am looking to be able to send files to the CrashPlan cloud. (IE, our PHOTOS share.) Thanks
  16. Hi... Still have the upgrade issue I am sorry to say. In asking Goggle about "E: Method gave invalid 103 Redirect message" what comes back seems to be something Ubuntu related with there being a recent bug in it introduced. I do not know, just just asking, does UnRaid use Ubuntu or does Docker? If so, then that bring up the question of was it recently updated in the last release of UnRaid? Asking for I am on the most current version of UnRaid and maybe, for those that have no issues with the auto updates, they are not on the current release. (Just a thought I wanted to toss out just to check.) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/1479045 https://goo.gl/x7aGiI I have tried... 3 different ISP's, several DNS's, used different locations using a VPN, hard wired the network to a cable modem vs using Verizon. I have moved through 3 states on Verizon. All in all, same result keep happening and this has been over a number of days. So, just asking about the above just in case. Thanks.
  17. Thanks for the thoughts I do understand where you are coming from on this. The strange this is I really do not have issues connection wise. Heck, I have a full time VPN running that is streaming a live video stream. (http://www.outsideourbubble.com/live-coach-cam) I use a VPN to get around Verizon's private IP so I can get in and out of our coaches network. Also, remember I mentioned I also tried a local connection, thus a totally different ISP with the same results. Attached is a graph showing my VPN connection to the camera over the last 48 hours. You can see that the connection remains solid and you can tell when we travel as we have a lot of people join along. You can even see the area we went through today along I-10 that has no internet. (The time is not set on the graph, it is ahead.) All in all, been traveling for a long time and we live on the Internet and make our living on it as I still own a few other communities. I really only run into issues when are a in a far out area with poor service (then I have boosters and directional antennas to try to correct) or when we get on a crowded tower. Like this past weekend. But with all that said...Yup, something surely is weird with trying to get an update. Guess I am just unlikely. And yes, totally agree that if it is working, don't touch it. And I usually do not upgrade unless a new feature comes out or something stops working with some service. That is why I was a little concerned with the auto update. But at the same time while I have run into issues with other software updates, but could revert back, I really have never had an issue with Sonorr, SickBeard (When I was running it before it was dropped.) and SABnzdb updates, thus was not totally worries but would like the current beta. Oh, in regards to it's working so don't tough it and then why did I choose to do this vs using the windows machine that has always just worked? Well, I ran into an issue where the that machine, running SSD's, I do not turn off when traveling. Well Sonorr found some new files and brought them down and I never knew it as they could not be processed out to the server for it was off. So over time, they collected, and collected... So I said Hey, that server is just sitting doing nothing most of the time...so lets use it. So when we travel, I shut it down so no more issues. So, here we are. Thanks again. Come this Sunday we were be a a park were I will have access to 75Mbps off a fiber line right into our coach. I have a port on the back of the coach where I can plug right in and it runs to the front to feed the router. All devices flow though the router (Asus RT-N66U) which is either wired to a hard line to the net or is connected via ethernet to a Raspberry Pi that handles the Internet via USB from a JetPack. (It also handles the VPN.) Thanks again for the support.
  18. And here it is from a different location, bouncing through different servers. I know you can not do anything about it, but very weird to say the least. ----------------------------------- GID/UID ----------------------------------- User uid: 99 User gid: 100 ----------------------------------- Hit http://ppa.launchpad.net trusty InRelease Ign http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty InRelease Hit http://ppa.launchpad.net trusty/main amd64 Packages Get:1 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security InRelease [64.4 kB] Get:2 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates InRelease [64.4 kB] Hit http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty Release.gpg Get:3 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/main Sources [127 kB] Get:4 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/restricted Sources [3,920 B] Get:5 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/universe Sources [36.5 kB] Get:6 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/multiverse Sources [2,165 B] Get:7 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/main amd64 Packages [477 kB] Get:8 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/restricted amd64 Packages [20.2 kB] Get:9 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/universe amd64 Packages [156 kB] Get:10 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-security/multiverse amd64 Packages [4,645 B] Get:11 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main Sources [311 kB] Get:12 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/restricted Sources [5,219 B] Get:13 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/universe Sources [181 kB] Get:14 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/multiverse Sources [5,116 B] Get:15 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages [836 kB] Get:16 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/restricted amd64 Packages [23.4 kB] Get:17 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/universe amd64 Packages [427 kB] Get:18 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/multiverse amd64 Packages [14.1 kB] Hit http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty Release Get:19 http://mirror.nexcess.net/ubuntu/ trusty/main Sources [1,335 kB] *** Running /etc/my_init.d/00_regen_ssh_host_keys.sh... *** Running /etc/my_init.d/10_add_user_abc.sh... *** Running /etc/my_init.d/20_apt_update.sh... 19. Well...New location. 5 hours West. High speed data. Tried both local Wi-Fi and Verizon and sorry to say it still does not seem to be able to pull the update. I even went on a VPN and connected through other servers in NY, Chicago, and San Fran. Seems to stop at the same place when it tries to run one of the scripts. Kind of at a loss as to why. Very pondering to say the least. ----------------------------------- GID/UID ----------------------------------- User uid: 99 User gid: 100 ----------------------------------- Hit http://ppa.launchpad.net trusty InRelease Ign http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty InRelease Hit http://ppa.launchpad.net trusty/main amd64 Packages Hit http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty-security InRelease Hit http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty-updates InRelease Get:1 http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty Release.gpg [933 B] Get:2 http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty-security/main Sources [127 kB] Hit http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty-security/universe Sources Get:3 http://mirrors.syringanetworks.net/ubuntu-archive/ trusty-security/multiverse Sources [2,165 B] Hit http://ubuntu.mirror.constant.com/ trusty Release Hit http://ubuntu.mirror.constant.com/ trusty-security/restricted Sources *** Running /etc/my_init.d/00_regen_ssh_host_keys.sh... *** Running /etc/my_init.d/10_add_user_abc.sh... *** Running /etc/my_init.d/20_apt_update.sh... 20. It will update when the server starts up as the docker service and ergo all the containers will be restarted. As regards the auto-updating we make comment of this on the first line of our docker hub page that is linked on the first page of this thread. Ah...Good to know as that could become an issue if it updates and for whatever reason the update may not be wanted. I have, guess like you all have, seen some bad updates come out. Even Kodi had some poor released right down to video or audio stopping. I am guessing there is not a way in your containers to turn that off so it only looks when you tell it to or click on RESTART vs just doing it on every load? But then again, maybe it is not as bad as I am thinking it could be. I am just basing it on history of some updates that broke things. Thanks again for the help.
  21. like this you mean ? http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37732.0 Yep, I did read that. But it still does not help with things like upgrades and that Up-To-Date does not really mean that if taking about what you installed etc. A lot of the thread was issues people still had with mappings and where to put things right down to be sure to use the cache and set it to use that only. I did read the thread, and still, sorry to say, had mapping issues and where and where not I should put things.
  22. Hey....Does it only run an UPDATE when you tell it to restart a given application? Or will it also look for new versions when you reboot the server? (I ask for when we move the coach like we will tomorrow, I shut the server down to protect the drives.) Thanks
  23. "OK, we pulled the same container, I get that. " That was all I was looking to make sure. I was looking to see if there was a difference somewhere. Maybe you did call a different container or something. I was looking for a difference. It is great you all work on these for us. It is outstanding to say the least. The issue that things are not always equal and most of us who are using such tools only do so for we do not know how to work with the OS directly. Docker, as you know much better than I, was originally made for a sandbox for testing. Here it is being used as an install tool to make it easy for users of UnRAID, or other such systems, where people need installers. I have spent the last 3 days working on two installs. Two. The documentation for UnRAID and using docker is very sparse. Mapping information is not clear and was most of my issue as some things worked, and some did not. Then you have the issue of so many different containers for the same program and which one to actually use. I went with Linuxserver.io ones as they seemed to be supported. (And are, so thanks.) All in all when I happened to notice I had not received the most current versions I went out seeking how to upgrade as these were from a Docker file. Again, no information is available. More research looking for answers such as can you use the automatic updater built into something like Sonorr or do you have to let Docker take care of it? Then that gets more confusing as when you look at Dockers tab you see "Up-to-date". But it is not stated anywhere that it is not referring to the program installed, but the container. So then I find out you just need to just restart the application to get an update. Well, who would think restarting something would also upgrade it without you telling it to do so or it at least asking you? I would not have thought that. (IE, what if the new version actually has issues that are being reported and you do not want to upgrade to that version.) So ok, I do that and then find it may or may not work based on the internet. Someone as a normal user, like me, would have no idea what is happening. All you know at this time is you can not get the program when trying to call it up on your browser. (No idea it is trying to look for an upgrade and thus has not even loaded yet. And if it finds it, it needs to download and install. By that time you are clicking RESTART again.) Oh, wonderful. Anyway, thanks for all the help on this for I clearly do not have any clue on Docker and in turn the containers or the updates. Then when you run into the issues mentioned above, it can, and does, get someone totally lost. Well, it has been a long three days to get something running that I have run for years on a Windows machine. Thank you again for looking into the issues I had (have) and to help get me running. I do thank you for how you maintain this stuff. (Someone needs to write a..."Hey you! Yes You. Here is what you should know about using Docker before you freak out."
