UnRaid emhttpd: error:

Featured Replies

I recently just upgraded to version 6.9.2 from 6.9.1 and I just noticed I'm getting the following in the syslog:

UnRaid emhttpd: error: get_key_info, 573: Invalid argument (22): fread: /boot/config/Trail.key

I get this error every second and it's starting to make my syslog files pretty large. Having a look back I notice this actually started around March 9th probably when I updated to 6.9.1. Has anyone one else seen this issue, does anyone know how to fix it?

That looks like an error trying to read a trial key file off the flash drive.    I would suggest over-writing it with another copy as that often fixes such issues if it is just a borderline sector on the flash drive.

I have a paid version so why would it be reading the trial key? Also is the file misspelled (Trail.key) on purpose?

Post diagnostics

Delete the file Trail.key [sic]

rm /boot/config/Trail.key

That seems to have worked, I moved the Trail.key file to a different folder and I no longer see the error.

Thanks John_M

Unraid checks for the presence of a valid key file. Only certain names are valid, such as Basic.key, Plus.key, etc. Trial.key is also valid but Trail.key isn't.
