Platte Tauschen

hi all,

 

so nun scheint einer meiner 4platten ein problem zu haben:

 

 

eine baugleiche habe ich hier vorliegen.

 

wie gehe ich genau vor ?, ich dachte mir eigntl. wie folgt:

 

die serial der def. platte merken

runterfahren

die def. ausbauen + die neue an dessen stelle einbauen

re-start

 

und dann, was muss ich dann noch bewerkstelligen !?

Backup vorhanden? Damit würde ich grundsätzlich als erstes anfangen. Auch ein RAID Rebuild kann in die Hose gehen.

Formatiert ist das Raid mit BTRFS, soweit so gut.

 

To replace a disk in the redundant pool, perform the following steps:

 

1.Stop the array.

2.Physically detach the disk from your system you wish to remove.

3.Attach the replacement disk (must be equal to or larger than the disk being replaced).

4.Refresh the Unraid webGui when under the Main tab.

5.Select the pool slot that previously was set to the old disk and assign the new disk to the slot.

6.Start the array.

7.If presented with an option to Format the device, click the checkbox and button to do so.

 

nach 1. würde ich das system herunterfahren.

um 2. / 3. auszuführen.

nach dem erneuten booten dann 4. / 5. dann 6.

zum schluss 7.

Dann solltest du bei den Disk Einstellungen den Autostart des Array deaktivieren. Ansonsten ja.

 

Das Runterfahren ist übrigens nicht aufgeführt weil es auch Mainboards mit Hot Plug Funktion gibt. Dh da kann man eine SATA SSD auch im laufenden Betrieb ausstecken.

Früher musste man bei einem BTRFS RAID Pool vor dem Austauschen einer defekten Disk einen Balance auslösen (Schritt 1a in der Liste oben). Ist das heute nicht mehr so?

 

Das war für mich seinerzeit eines der K.O. Kriterien um alle BTRFS Pools aufzulösen. Dieser eine zusätzliche Balance Schritt, der bei Ausfall einer Platte, auf der einen verbliebenden, heilen Platte ausgeführt wurde, hat mich und die Platte extrem gestresst. Und BTRFS Pools, vor allen Dingen auf NVMe Devices, fielen schon mal häufiger aus...
