audiveras
Greetings! I have purchased unraid pro license, I thought I could have unlimited hard drives support but my unraid server only shows 8 hard drives out of 13. I installed windows 11 and windows is able to see all hard drives, especially sata drives. What can I do to make unraid pro find all hard drives? itimpi
Unraid should be able to see all drives unless you have hidden them so they can be passed to a VM. You are likely to get better informed feedback if you post your system's diagnostics zip file so we can see what is going on. Quote Link to comment
audiveras
It's a brand new build. Windows 11 was not able to see them either but the app from AMD, raidxpert2 showed me the missing hard drives. I don't know if unraid has an app like raidxpert2 but I cannot get all hard drives, mostly all sata drives are missing. I can see them in bios. audiveras
I apologize, here is the zip file. tower-diagnostics-20220419-0647.zip Can you please tell me why I cannot find any of the SATA drives? and there are other drives missing. I thought it was a missing drive for ATA. I do not know how because all updates have been done and the system says it is up to date. Quote Link to comment

itimpi
Are any of the drives connected to the ports of the RAID controller? If so then they must be configured to be passed through as individual drives to Unraid, not as any sort of multi-drive RAID setup. Quote Link to comment
audiveras
The Bios is the latest one, I did change the SATA from RAID to AHCI. When I boot the machine the BIOS implied that it found the missing SATA drives but I still not able to see the new SATA in the /Main section, the Disks lists. Quote Link to comment
Squid
With the change you made in the BIOS, post a new set of diagnostics Quote Link to comment
audiveras
I did changes to the BIOS, I took all the RAID functions out and just did AHCI. For some reason the outcome is the same. I cannot get one of the SSD U.2 of 3.8TB. It shows only one of these and zero of the SATA drives. Please look into this diagnostics reportveras-tower-diagnostics-20220419-0821.zip Quote Link to comment
Squid
Is the problem because U2_1 and U2_2 get disabled if you use M2_2 and M2_3? Quote Link to comment
audiveras
that happens at the BIOS level. the MB has 3 slots for M.2 drives. I removed 2 of these and put it in a PCIE M.2 carrier so the u.2 ssd can be found. They are able to be seen in the BIOS. When BIOS sees them I think it should be been in the OS. I tested it with Windows 11 and it was able to be found but only after using amd raidxpert2. I do not know if Unraid has an app like amd raidxpert2 but that is how I got it enabled in Windows 11. JorgeB
SATA controllers are still failing to initialize, if there's no newer BIOS try v6.10-rc4, newer kernel might help. Quote Link to comment
audiveras
Are there any tools to load the ATA drivers from my motherboard into undraid? I ran all kinds of updates but maybe i must add the sata controller drives manually Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment

The closest you can get is to request Limetech add them to a future Unraid build if the drivers in question successfully build against the Linux kernel included with that release. audiveras
I googled v6.10-rc4 but I cannot find the zip file to download it. How can I add the v6.10-rc4 to the USB drive? Quote Link to comment
