LeoT
Hey everyone, I've been on OS 6.9.2 for a long time, but wanted to do an update now. I started the update procedure, and it went just fine. After reboot, everything looked normal, until I wanted to access data. I have a share with a folder named: "Projects". It contains a ton of subfolders and is really important data for me, a few terabytes... When I'm trying to access this "Projects" folder on my Mac, it appears absolutely empty. There's just nothing in it. However, when I take a look at the Unraid UI and go to the folder, all the data is present... The general Share containing the folder shows up on my Mac and is accessible. When I undo the software update, all my data shows up again on my Mac... Has anyone ever experienced something similar? I attached a diagnostic file from Unraid OS 6.10.3... Thanks for your help! leoT-diagnostics-20220705-1204.zip Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Try google using the following search terms: unraid.net MAC missing shares smb conf for mac Sorry that this is not a cookbook type of answer but (if it helps) you are not the first one to have this type of problem... Quote Link to comment

Thanks. I know what's the problem though now... Unraid only presents the folders present in cache, to my Mac... Meaning, it somehow does not display the main folders on the hard drives... So it must be an Unraid error, right?! See those are all the folders on my share (main hard drives): Those are the folders currently in cache, ready to be moved...: Now instead of displaying all folders that are in cache + the ones on my main drives, it only shows the folders in cache to my Mac...: Has anyone ever had this issue?! Thank you! Disabling "Enhanced macOS interoperability" worked for me... Navigating in Finder seems way smoother as well... Thanks a lot! 1 Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Are you sharing the cache drive? See below for an example of a Disk Share rather than a User Share: IF you are, make sure that you are looking at the User Share and not the Disk Share. The Disk Share of the cache will only show the files that are physically on the cache drive. EDIT: You have solved this problem. Edited July 6, 2022 by Frank1940 Quote Link to comment
