trurl
Unrelated, your appdata share has files on the array. Post logs from syslog server after crash. Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Ok, once the server crashes I'll post the log Of course as I'm asking for help the server has decided to "work" Side question, it seems that the Apps page is broken... It won't stop loading when I try to acces it.. Any advice ? Ben Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Thanks ! You're the best ! I'll keep you posted as soon as the server crashes.. I'm amazed it still hasn't Ben Quote Link to comment
thenexus
Seem to be tons of posts about 6.12.3 and issues. My firmware had a checksum error and all i did was install update and restart. Had to roll back to a backup of 6.11 1 Quote Link to comment
neurocis
Rolled back to 6.11.5 issues were so bad, server was up for over 6 months until update. hard freeze every other day, nothing in logs. Docker containers would not release resources consistently having to reboot for that as well. Not posting a diagnostics, sorry I have to have a running server. Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know that the NAS has now been running for 15 days straight. I couldn't explain why... I'll keep you posted if for some reason it starts to crash again... Many thanks for your time and help ! Ben Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Hey Trurl, Hope you're all good, Just to let you know, the server finally crashed so here's the syslog you asked for Again many thanks for your time ! Ben tower-syslog-20230817-1752.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
This is not the persistent syslog, if you activated the syslog server you need to see where it's saving the log and get it from there. 1 Quote Link to comment
faxesystem
I'm also on 6.12.3 with my HP Microserver G8 which is crashing since the update. Didn't have problems with 6.12.2. I disabled most of my docker containers despite Plex. So basically just Plex was running and a got a crash again. Now I also disabled Plex. So no VM or Docker container is running and I didn't have a crash until now. I want to wait until the parity check is finished. I already activated the syslog server and will activate Plex again after the parity check. If it than crashes again I will upload the syslog here. NerfyGeko
EDIT: Sorry, my issue was unrelated. Seemed to be to do with the AMD GPU Top dashboard plugin. I installed this a few days before I updated my server and noticed the crashing. Edited November 27, 2023 by NerfyGeko Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Hey JorgeB, So I've just enabled the syslog server. I'll wait for an other crash and keep you posted. It'll write straight on the Flash Drive. Any idea how I acces it ? Ben Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
It will be in the /logs folder. Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Hey Team, Yup... I'm back.. The server stoped crashing for a good while. But it's been a few days now that the server crashes absolutly everyday... I have to manualy restart it every morning.. No idea what's going on.. If anyone has some sort of idea Ben Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Start by posting the persistent syslog. Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Here is the Syslog, Ben tower-syslog-20240319-1418.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
That's not the persistent syslog, but there's a very large amount of data corruption detected by btrfs in the pool, you appear to be running ECC RAM, so there may be a different hardware issue. Quote Link to comment
Wolves
Hey Jorge, I can't find the persistent syslog on the unraid web interface. Where do I find them ? SO the RAM seems fine ? Ben Edited March 20 by Wolves Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Mar 18 16:35:30 Tower kernel: macvlan_broadcast+0x10a/0x150 [macvlan] Mar 18 16:35:30 Tower kernel: ? _raw_spin_unlock+0x14/0x29 Mar 18 16:35:30 Tower kernel: macvlan_process_broadcast+0xbc/0x12f [macvlan] Macvlan call traces will usually end up crashing the server, switching to ipvlan should fix it (Settings -> Docker Settings -> Docker custom network type -> ipvlan (advanced view must be enabled, top right)), then reboot.
