+1 as a tester, I have a 6800DXP.

Thanks

I'd also be happy to test this out. I just received by DXP6800 PRO

You have to wait until the new Unraid beta version is released.

After it is released simply upgrade your Unraid system, reboot, go to the CA app and search for "ugreen led driver":

grafik.png.eaacbaa1daee4f5878d8f394bb282a70.png

and you will find the plugin.

Install the plugin and it should hopefully work.

Reason that I can't release is for 6.12.10 is that there are additional required dependencies which are only included in the next public beta.

Currently supported systems are:

  • UGREEN DX4600 Pro
  • UGREEN DXP4800 Plus
  • UGREEN DXP6800 Pro
  • UGREEN DXP8800 Plus

NOT supported but maybe coming in the future:

  • UGREEN DXP480T Plus

amazing! thanks a lot.

Don't thank me too much, it's not yet tested and I even don't know if it's working. :D

Will there also be some love for the DXP480T?

If you have time you can already test something, at least we can try to stop the blinking.

First all, thank you for the plugin! Some feedback, I have a 6800DXP and all lights are solid (expected behavior?), but I only have 1-3 slots populated w/ disks. Also, is the LAN LED/light suppose to be red. If you need logs, glad to provide them.

Thanks

I fixed a bunch of bugs today.

The LAN port should have the following indicator colors:

100Mbit/s: green
1000Mbit/s: blue
2500Mbit/s: yellow
10000Mbit/s: white

there is also a initial color or when the link speed can't be determined which is orange.

(The LED colors are customizable too in the file /boot/config/plugins/ugreenleds-driver/settings.cfg NOTE: a reboot is required <- values are R G B)

Please do the following to update the plugin properly (otherwise it won't work correctly) :

  1. Remove the plugin
  2. Reboot
  3. Install the plugin

DXP480T is now also supported and the status LED will be set to static white instead of blinking.

Thanks @NickdotB for testing on DXP4800 Plus and @Joly0 on DXP480T Plus!

Yeah great Plugin, the LAN LED works perfectly. It shows blue, which is correct.

But I have the same question, are all Disk lights supposed to be solid white? Only 1-3 are populated. And it should be the newest version, I followed your suggestion on how to update the plugin:

Just some feedback, updated as instructed, network light is orange/red even though I am connected at 10Gb, see attached. All lights for disks are white w/  only 1-3 slots populated, they blink when accessed. I do have all the M.2 slots populated, so should 4-6 slots show lit even though I don't have any disks in slots 4-6?

Hmmm, I had not tested with less than all 4 bays populated.

As for the solid lights, do they change once there is load on the system?
When you say newest version, do you mean 7.0.0-beta.1 or the stable branch?

Yes, you have to be on 7.0.0-beta.1 for the plugin. The disks do blink when accessed.

Thanks

Thanks to @miskcoo the bugs are now fixed.

@Govnah & @Skorpion please do the same as above:

  1. Remove the plugin
  2. Reboot
  3. Install the plugin

It works perfectly on my DXP6800. The LEDs flash when the disc is accessed and the 2.5gbe network connection is also displayed correctly.

All drive bays are occupied. In my case it is therefore correct that all disc LEDs are lit.

Thank you Ich777 for your efforts!

I would also recommend that you do the same as I pointed out above, I just updated the package for the plugin itself.

See this post:

I can confirm that all LEDs on my DXP4800 are working correctly.
The network link lights up yellow (2.5GB) and the disk LEDs flash when there is activity.
I am very happy with the plugin - great!

Showing only populated slots now, but Link LED still showing orange/red and I am connected at 10Gb, not a big issue just more of an FYI.

I might have another version for you later to test please.

NP, again thanks for the effort.

All good, thanks again!!

Is there documentation for how to change the colors? I was envisioning a system where the light is green if the drive is online and good, red if bad, blue if populated but spun down, etc.

In the config file /boot/config/plugins/ugreenleds-driver/settings.cfg you can change colours and brightness and a bit more.
Under this Link you will find the configuration file with examples from the original LED support project.
