January 19Jan 19 Author Something weird happen, I shutdown ( to take the failed 14TB drive that was unassign status) that looked to be a clean shutdown. But I got a message shutdown was not clean. I had to start the array manually. Then unraid started to do a parity check. I have the parity on pause right now. Just wondering what happen? thecave-diagnostics-20260119-1520.zip
January 20Jan 20 Author Should I let the parity check run or cancel? I know sometimes if the Unraid server has a power failure or some kind of crash parity will automatically start after reboot. But this did not happen.
January 20Jan 20 Community Expert You can check parity later.8 hours ago, JorgeB said:you need to check filesystem on disk7Also, you should clean up your plugins, you have several installed that are incompatible or have been replaced.
January 20Jan 20 Community Expert It's XFS.Start in Maintenance mode, click on the disk to get to its page, check filesystem
January 21Jan 21 Author Well, the process whet real fast and no visible feedback. follow the guide. Hope I did not leave out a step. thecave-diagnostics-20260121-1120.zip
January 21Jan 21 Community Expert Newer versions of Unraid make this simpler by giving you buttons to continue with the next steps. You have to remove -n (nomodify) and do it again.
January 21Jan 21 Author I removed the -n and click on check. I seem to flash and then added the -n back...
January 21Jan 21 Community Expert Start the array in normal (not maintenance) mode and post new diagnostics
January 21Jan 21 Community Expert Looks like disk7 was repaired, but some of it went to lost+found. On the user shares page, click Compute... for the lost+found share, wait for the results, then post a screenshot
January 21Jan 21 Community Expert That will take a lot longer than just8 minutes ago, trurl said:click Compute... for the lost+found share
January 21Jan 21 Community Expert Each share has a Compute... on the same line where it is listed in your screenshot.
January 21Jan 21 Community Expert So you have 54.1G in lost+found. You can examine the contents in the File Manager by clicking the "arrow box" icon at the left of that same line.Sometimes repair won't know what folder a file belongs in, or what name a folder or file should have.Linux 'file' command can help tell you what kind of data is in a file so you can try to open it in an appropriate application to try to identify it.
January 21Jan 21 Author I click on some of the folders I see some TV programs I recorded in Plex. I by mistake click on one of the flies and now it is processing something. I have to figure how to stop the process.
January 25Jan 25 Author Just observed my fans running fast and loud. Checked temperature and drives, all seem okay. Rebooted server and now the array did not start. thecave-diagnostics-20260125-1527.zip
