archedraft Posted September 14, 2014 Share Posted September 14, 2014 I started with 2GB when was sure I wasen't going to use plugins... Then I wanted to use plugins so I upgraded to 8GB... Then I wanted to use virtual machines and I currently have 16GB... Moral of the story, if you are 100% sure it will only be used as a NAS then 2GB will be just fine but if you even sort of think plugins or VM's would be nice to mess with in the future, get ALL the ram you can!!
