jeffreywhunter
Found a nice resource for us Noobs on how to use screen. A very powerful utility... http://wiki.yobi.be/wiki/Screen_Tips I was reading through the pre-clear post - http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Configuration_Tutorial#Install_Screen and they mentioned that you shouldn't use more than 4 preclears at a time. I recently ran 6 disks at once with no problems. What is the potential problem running more? Memory issue? 1 Quote Link to comment

I'm going to point to it. Limited memory is probably the reason. Quote Link to comment

jeffreywhunter
Hey! I was able to "give back" a bit. I guess that's what community is all about, eh! Quote Link to comment
garycase
Nice find. Bookmarked that so I don't have to "re-learn" every time I use it (which is rare). Quote Link to comment
CHBMB
I love screen, so useful, especially for preclearing. Quote Link to comment
anToha
Wow, screen has saved my day! I have to copy 700 GB of data from fusion drive out of a mac that has recently died. And the terminal just keeps disconnecting. Now no more problems :) Quote Link to comment
