[DEPRECATED] Linuxserver.io - Rutorrent

Featured Replies

change the host side port mapping, unraid webui is port 80.

Yes that what I wanted to try but how?  ???

Edit the docker and change the host port from 80 to something else

Sorry if that sounds strange but how do I edit the docker? The rutorrent "/config" directory is empty.

Click the icon (on the docker tab), select "Edit"

Ok, so removed port 80 and replaced with port 44444, now rutorrent shows the green arrow but when selecting "webui" I return to the unraid main page.

Long standing bug in unRaid where dockerMan doesn't pick up changes to the webUI.  Easiest solution is to bookmark http://IPADDRESS:44444

Thanks for your help but even making a bookmark doesn't help. Page is not accessible.

Tried also with a different port and cleared cache from browser.

Done got it working. How I did it. 1.)  SSH into your machine   2.)  Enter the following command replacing your file structure.  Note I could not get it to work if I changed the 443 port. docke

@xthursdayx It is actually much easier than that. Simply copy the contents of your "/mnt/user/appdata/rutorrent/rtorrent/rtorrent_sess" into the following folder : "/mnt/user/appdata/binhex-rtorrentvp

Has anyone tried getting OpenVPN or has OpenVPN working on this image? I get to the point of getting the connection started and get

You're trying to route it through an OpenVPN client?

Yeah, just like the delugeVPN container from binxhex, but manually. That has all the bits working but I can't enable OpenVPN manually in this one for whatever reason. The kernel for UNRaid has tun enabled but I must be missing something since it is not working in this container.

Thanks for the docker, much appreciated! What are the chances autodl-irssi could be included within or if anyone knows, what would be the easiest way to get autodl-irssi to work with this docker?

After upgrading to unraid 6.2 beta, rtorrent broke, have tried multiple times to deleting container and images and clear alle files. and first time i start, it works, but if i stop the container and start it again it wont connect to rtorrent and gives error "No connection to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in rTorrent configuration file."

anyone have a fix for this?

Had the same issue myself on 6.1.9 after a reboot. Resolved by:

1. Deleting .dtach file from /detach_sess/.dtach on the docker (using command docker exec rm /detach_sess/.dtach.

2. Deleting rtorrent.lock file from dockers config folder (specifically /config/rtorrent/rtorrent_sess)

This seems to be reoccurring after every reboot of the container though (issue as described in quoted post, caused by .dtach and rtorrent.lock file being remade), surely this isn't expected behaviour and the files are supposed to delete itself on shutdown, anyone able to assist on a permanent solution?

Thanks will try this, hoping the docker willl be updated so we dont have to this on every restart.

Thanks for the fix

docker exec f7e591682c61 rm /detach_sess/.dtach worked for me ( f7e591682c61 is my container ID which I got from the command docker ps) :)

My port 45556 is showing as blocked, is this normal ? Ive turned my firewall off on my router but that didn't work.

I read that I may have to sync my ports in port mappings but if I mess with those options rutorrent doesnt seem to work anymore.

Regards

did you forward the port on your router?

I'm not clear what you mean by

Ive added edited the volume mappings with /mnt but it hasn't worked.

What mappings have you actually got?

In all my dockers I add /mnt/ to the docker settings so I can point directory paths to anywhere I like.

I have

/config -- /mnt/cache/Apps/Rutorrent

/downloads -- /mnt/cache/Apps/Rutorrent/Downloads

/mnt -- /mnt

I can't point the autowatch plugin to anywhere but /downloads

I'd like it to be /mnt/user/Media/Dropbox/Blackhole

I hope that makes sense ????

I've added this to rtorrent.rc and it's working

# Watch a directory for new torrents, and stop those that have been

# deleted.

schedule = watch_directory,5,5,load_start=/mnt/user/Media/Dropbox/Blackhole/*.torrent

#schedule = tied_directory,6,5,start_tied=

#schedule = untied_directory,7,5,stop_untied=
