[SOLVED] Overwrote all my mount points in /mnt by mistake. How do i recover?

(Disclaimer: I'm relatively new to linux and completely new to UNRAID)

I was trying to mount a network file share, and accidentally mounted it to /mnt instead of /mnt/myShare. Ugh, so all the existing mount points got nuked.

The server rebooted fine, but nothing is in /mnt anymore and accessing http://tower doesn't work.

Luckily there is no data on the system as I've just been mucking around to learn things before I really set it up.

Is there a way to recover from this stupid mistake or am I hosed and have to reinstall from scratch?

a reboot would have fixed everything, unless you added those mount points via your "go" file.

If you didn't do that, then grab your diagnostics by typing diagnostics at the command prompt and post them.

If you did do that, then edit your go file and remove the offending lines

Definitely didn't edit a "go" file. Only ran "mount" command, realized my mistake and then rebooted hoping it'd be fixed. It wasn't.

Will reply with my diagnostic settings shortly.

Can you connect to the server by browsing to http://192.168.1.161  ?  Relatively common problem because windows sucks sometimes

The reason you're not seeing the /mnt points anymore is because the array isn't started.  (once you get to the UI then you can enable auto start on the array)

I'm actually on a Mac.  Going directly to the IP worked and oddly, this time http://tower worked now too.

Thanks for the tip on why the mount points weren't there.  Just restarted the array and bingo, they are there.
