bambamkey
Looking for input. I'm running (or at least trying to) and Unraid system with a 4790k on a MSI z97 ac mini itx. My writes to the cache drive (WD Black drive) average 2 MBs! . The same machine averages 70 MBs as an OpenMediavault server. Any idea why the gap in write speeds? Quote Link to comment
danioj
See v6 help in my sig. Which means, post us a diagnostics file: Tools>Diagnostics>Download Quote Link to comment

I am looking through your logs BUT as a quick note I notice that you have bonding setup. Have you tried your speeds without this in the first instance? I don't know much about setting up bonding correctly (or troubleshooting it really) BUT I have noticed and spoken to users who have had issues with it. As means of isolation testing it might be worth just trying a copy operation with your network set without bonding enabled. Quote Link to comment
bambamkey
I've disabled bonding. Still having the same write speeds. Quote Link to comment

bambamkey
yes I rebooted. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
If you're writing to the cache disk this has nothing to do with your problem but you should monitor these values, if they increase by 2 or more check/replace sata cable: Device Model: Hitachi HDS5C3020ALA632 Serial Number: ML0220F31ARN5D 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count 0x000a 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 99944 Device Model: HGST HUS724040ALE640 Serial Number: PK1331PAJ0R4AX 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count 0x000a 200 200 000 Old_age Always - 4868 This disk doesn't look very healthy: Device Model: ST32000542AS Serial Number: 6XW111V7 183 Runtime_Bad_Block 0x0032 095 095 000 Old_age Always - 5 184 End-to-End_Error 0x0032 099 099 099 Old_age Always FAILING_NOW 1 Now, for your actual problem, syslog is only a minute long, try coping something and upload new diagnostics before rebooting. JorgeB
Syslog has no errors that would explain the slow cache disk write speed, assuming you did some transfers during this time. If you copy directly to an array disk by disabling cache for that share your using a disk share do you get the same low speed? Quote Link to comment
bambamkey
Yes I do. Strange thing is that I get reasonable speeds on the same hardware with Windows or OpenmediaVault. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
If you get the same low speed copying to the array or cache disk my first guess would be a network issue. If you can try using a different source pc/switch/lan cable. Quote Link to comment
