Trylo
Hi! Sometime ago my docker image got filled up, so I didn't think much about it and just made the image bigger. Now, few weeks later the situation is the same, even though I installed no new applications. I've found a topic about deleting log files, I tried that, but it didn't seem to work. How can I troubleshoot this? Here is info from settings: Total devices 1 FS bytes used 18.28GiB devid 1 size 25.00GiB used 21.02GiB path /dev/loop0 Attached image shows change of 9% (2.25GB) within 24h! Here is what cAdvisor shows: sparklyballs/krusader latest sha256:fc5c1c031de688706 1.14 GiB 11.05.2015, 07:37:49 linuxserver/resilio-sync latest sha256:e742cb2dba2875364 165.85 MiB 8.07.2017, 00:37:21 limetech/plex latest sha256:7b004afe6eb50a869 531.12 MiB 29.06.2017, 05:58:05 google/cadvisor latest sha256:f9ba08bafdeaf8158 54.66 MiB 10.03.2017, 00:30:29 gfjardim/crashplan latest sha256:3517caa72cbcf70a7 756.87 MiB 25.10.2016, 17:47:05 binhex/arch-delugevpn latest sha256:760a794e10adb63a2 1.12 GiB 26.06.2017, 18:30:57 Link to comment
Trylo
1 hour ago, Squid said: Probably either this or this I hardly use Plex. I uninstalled all containers one by one except for the CrashPlan and this is the one causing problem. Of course I'd rather avoid removing the container and installing it again. I've placed this line in extra parameters, but I don't know if it works, will it also remove all log files that are bigger than 50MB? --log-opt max-size=50m --log-opt max-file=1 Link to comment
saarg
From your cadvisor list, its the deluge container filling up your image. It's using up more than 21 GB of your docker image! You have probably a bad config of folders. Link to comment
Trylo
OK, I removed Deluge. Here is cAdvisor now: plexinc/pms-docker latest sha256:beb7140c2a4a2a7ca 381.65 MiB 6.07.2017, 02:07:15 linuxserver/resilio-sync latest sha256:e742cb2dba2875364 165.85 MiB 8.07.2017, 00:37:21 google/cadvisor latest sha256:f9ba08bafdeaf8158 54.66 MiB 10.03.2017, 00:30:29 gfjardim/crashplan latest sha256:3517caa72cbcf70a7 756.87 MiB 25.10.2016, 17:47:05 It still doesn't add up to 17GB: Total devices 1 FS bytes used 12.30GiB devid 1 size 25.00GiB used 17.02GiB path /dev/loop0 Link to comment
saarg
I don't think that container logs will show up in cadvisor if I remember correctly. @Squid will probably correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure about orphaned images either. Read the links and the links therein that @Squid provided for a better understanding. Link to comment

Squid
Its not the logs that are filling it up. Rather something either Crashplan or a download client is storing data within it. You have to check the settings for where eg: downloads are stored within each application, and verify that the path is the same as the template shows. Link to comment

Best I've been able to figure out is that the stats returned by the native docker commands or via cAdvisor return the size of the application (actually its virtual size) only. Link to comment
