Unassigned disks not showing

I'm not sure when this happened, but unassigned disks aren't showing up in the main dashboard. There's just an empty space. See screenshot below:

Disks show up on the dashboard page, but not the main page. I have an internal uninstalled disk, but this applies to external USB as well.

If I go to /boot/config/plugins/unassigned.devices, all of the .cfg files are blank.

I looked at the source in Chrome and it looks like this, I'm not sure if "hidden has to do with anything.

I get the same issue using Microsoft Edge browser as well. I did notice that in the element inspector it says "Failed to open https://*********.unraid.net:543/plugins/unassigned.devices/assets/style-white.css"  (subdomain removed).

I have tried uninstalling, rebooting, deleting the .plg & folder on the boot usb, (including uninstalled folder). I've looked through all of the syslog & .cfg files and don't see anything obvious.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

A couple of additional notes:

I am using Unraid Pro (unlimited drives).

I have received this error in 6.5.3, and upgraded today to 6.6-RC2 to see if this would fix my problem. It did not. I have wiped my flash drive as well and reinstalled.

I should also mention that if I go to Plugins -> Unassigned Devices, the page is blank under the headers.

I have also uninstalled all CA (and most other) plugins to see if a dependency was botched.

Also, I am receiving the following error in CA Appdata cleanup, my suspicion is that it's related.

Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: [XML2Array] Error parsing the XML string. in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ca.cleanup.appdata/include/xmlHelpers.php:197 Stack trace: #0 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ca.cleanup.appdata/include/exec.php(42): XML2Array::createArray('<?xml version="...') #1 {main} thrown in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ca.cleanup.appdata/include/xmlHelpers.php on line 197

One of two things:

  • Either you're running a MAC, and have navigated to /config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user, and Apple in their infinite wisdom add all of their million hidden metadata files to the folder (which I can fix)
  • Or one of the templates in that folder is completely trashed.

Not that it matters, but none of the CA plgs have any dependency that they install.

If you have an adblocker running on your system, try whitelisting the server

Squid, you were right on Docker. I wiped several of the user templates & containers I wasn't using and the problem cleared up. I don't use a mac, so it must have been just an unclean shutdown I had.

Regarding the  unsassigned disks, your solution unfortunately didn't work. I whitelisted in pihole, as well as disabling SSL so that it would resolve to the local IP only (which I verified all calls). Do you have any other suggestions? Are there any GUI files that unclean shutdown might have affected (in addition to the Docker templates)? Again, thank you for your help!

Holy smokes, I figured it out. I was going through my log files one last time before I posted, and I saw in "ident.cfg", it had the following line:

SECURITY="ser"

I changed to "user", rebooted, and it worked again. I hadn't even realized, but the remote shares pane had been missing as well.  It must have been corruption. Thank you all again for your help, I greatly appreciate and wish I'd figured this out for myself after spending many hours trying to correct it.
