Unique issue after swapping a parity drive - details and logs inside

Recommended Posts

So basically moved whole array over to new MoBo / graphics / etc. and was amazed it booted up as if I had never moved systems (mobos similar but definitely differences like ability to do GPU passthrough without secondary GPU etc etc). I was happy - as I'm new to unraid but not completely unfamiliar with linux based systems, NAS, and dedicated server management. However this is mainly for home media, Plex and redundant backups.

Naturally I bought some on sale easystore drives (2 10gb and 1 8gb and shucked them). Did a parity swap using this guide https://wiki.unraid.net/The_parity_swap_procedure and all went well... with first 4tb to 10tb parity (in second parity slot, which i now realize may have been a bad idea). So after a longer than expected copy process and parity check, all seemed good and was running fine... until something happened and suddenly 2 disks were showing unavailable/faulty.

No big deal, I recover 1 drive and the other apparently PINS broke to sata so I declared that dead. Started another data rebuild (separately, just in case) and 2 days I finally get the array back to 'Good' - but odd issue; no apps, docker, VM, plugins - gone. Despite lack of errors, it wants me to format a drive that was rebuilt. Anyway, I've attached some logs and screencaps - let me know what else I can provide. I also put 'Fix Common issues' on troubleshoot mode. Would really appreciate some advice here - would hate to lose all my data but would not really care if i had to redo the apps/etc. Thanks in advance!

In all honesty, I have a feeling I may have been hacked. Maybe someone can confirm my suspicion? And if so, is all my raw data gone?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response, I was very close to saying screw it and formatting that drive since it's essentially empty. But I'm airing on the side of caution now because the above wiki did help a lot, I had done some xfs repairs but yet to do cache - also added (as initially I had a cache pool but took it out as needed it for another work related project - but added back in a 970 M.2). Thoughts on recovery? Time I may have to dedicate(not waiting for parity/rebuilds but actual time)? Already struggling as I have a wrist brace on from pulling a muscle during thanksgiving goofin - so this is all extra strenuous. Trying to weigh if I should just start completely fresh (on fiber connection, media is about 1/3 in cloud and rest I can get via small private tracker). Thanks again for all the support and advice!

Does disk5 mount after the repair? Ads for the cache pool, docker image is corrupt and needs to be recreated, cache fs seems fine, at least for now.

It mounts, shows it's valid, but also shows it's 'unmountable' however it's actively doing disk writes, and parity says it is correcting some errors  - yes, decided to just do a fully parity sync/read but it's ending up being VERY large/long bc of 10 tb parity 2. Am I wasting my time? Haha sorry I feel like a complete noob here, thanks again y'all

Attached screencap just now. Still showing the option to format (not seen).

It was saying to format it when there was not even a disk installed!

With parity a single missing disk is emulated and anything you can do to a real disk you can do to the emulated disk. With dual parity same except there can be 2 missing disks emulated.
