Gee1
Hi, i have 5 Drives in my Arry + 1 Parity. One Array drive has some unreadable Sectors. Is it possible to tell unraid mark and simly dont write these Sektors? It should be possible, cause unraid know these Sektors. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
This is not a feature that Unraid provides. With modern drives this sort of issue should be handled Internally by the firmware on the drive and any bad sectors reallocated to use good ones. Quote Link to comment
trurl
You should post your diagnostics so we can get a better understanding of your problem and suggest how to proceed. Quote Link to comment

Modern HDDs firmware has been effectively doing with this for quite some time now (e.g. reallocate bad sectors to good spare ones and thus preventing uses of these bad sectors). If your HDD has bad sectors, it is usually an indication that it is failing though. So you will want to watch the count and if it's steadily increasing, replace your HDD (with urgency). I personally replace a HDD as soon as any bad sector is detected. Quote Link to comment
