opentoe Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 It does not say it anywhere. Is this power supply a single rail design? I can't tell by reading the stats/specs. I know the older model the X650 has VERY good ratings and probably is the best 650 power supply made. I don't have any reviews on the newer X series models but I am really hoping they keep up the same quality. I did purchase a Corsair 650TX, but my OCD is really wanting a modular design and an almost silent fan. Not a cheap power supply but it rates good and most of the time the PS fan will be off even with my unRAID using 10 drives most likely. Quote Link to comment

Ford Prefect Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 I agree, the term "single rail" is not widely used in the specs. Some shops are tagging the PSUs with that info, which might help. In the specs for a PSU with multi-rail config, you normally find details for more than one +12V outlet, where each outlet is numbered, like +12V1 18A, +12V2 18A ,..., 12Vx nnA....see here for an example In fact, at least here in Europe, publishing the specs like this is required, I believe.
