when creating the USB will UNRAID create it both for Legacy and UEFI im wondering if I may have made it UEFI only??

Yes it has the "-", it may be a BIOS thing yes as i can use the boot override to boot it in Legacy. not sure what I can try next

Yes by enabling Legacy I mean I have enables CSM. it still wont let me boot from the USB via Legacy (it does only if i use the boot override) only shows me the UEFI option

I have been running unraid for a while now. Never really bothered with how it was booting. I have recently tried to create a VM with GPU pass through and had issues so found out that my server is booting in UEFI mode and i should change it to Legacy. So I went into the BOIS of my PC and Legacy Mode is Turned on. however in the boot options I dont see my USB as Legacy only UEFI. I can however press F8 and use the boot override to boot in to Legacy. does anyone know why this may be? I unchecked the boot in UEFI in unrad and that doesn't help either except now I have to force the boot in Legacy but still no option to select legacy in the the boot Menu. My Motherboard is: ASUS X99-M WS/SE

Hi I am trying to create a VM and Passthrough my NVME which is an Unassigned device. I also want to pass through a GPU but at the moment I am starting with only passing the NVME through. when i go to system settings the NVME is on its own IOMMU group so I selected it and hit Bind to VFIO. Success I can now see the NVME Passthrough in the VM Creation. I select none for my drive and pass the NVME through. I boot the VM using VNC and when I try to install Windows 10 I can see the drive and Installation begins. however on first reboot it just boots into the UEFI Shell. What am I doing wrong? Hopefully its an easy Fix

I have a motherboard which i would like to use for an UNRAID build. its a Asrock X99 Extreme11 it has a built on SAS controller LSI SAS 3008 how do i flash this to IT Mode? i cant seem to find anything. would it be the same as flashing a dedicated SAS Card?

what happens when the share which i store my plots on are full? do i just stop and farm? or will it continue to plot and overwrite?

Ah Thanks I see. I have now added this Node for Europe: node-eu.chia.net:8444. what are the Introducers? it wont let me add any of those. also is there a way to do more than one plot at a time with Mad Max?

Think i missed this.. im still waiting for sync although i have had to power down for maintenance a couple of times. how can i add these? at the moment I am at Current Blockchain Status: Syncing 570076/628847. what i have noticed is this time and date Time: Wed Jul 14 2021 11:53:33 BST is this normal is there where i have synced to?

Hi Hoping someone can help me. I have set syncthing up to sync the photos i take on my phone to a folder on my server but when i try to delete unwanted items it says i need permission from Server\nobody to make changes have i done something wrong here?

great thanks i think im going to figure this out before i join a pool, i would like to understand whats going on first now i see something about madmax to help me create faster plots. i have read through the page on the wiki but not sure i get it. is there an addon i need to get or is it inbuilt and i need to only replace the settings with the one in the wiki?

recently decided to join the Chia craze and may as well utilize my unraid server as its sitting idle most of the time. my plan is to use additional storage to do this. What i have so far: I have created a new cache pool just for Chia 3 14tb hard drives to use as unassigned devices what i need: HELP!!! so i think i need to install this container, do i already need to have registered first for Chia? can i do it in this container? is there an idiots guide? any suggestions would be appreciated

finally figured this one out in case it helps anyone. the issue I was have was that the disk would not format due to the protection so I needed to disable it. there is a PSID printed on the disk. i used this to reset the disk, by usng the below command where <PSIDNODASHS> is the PSID on the disk and device> is the device sedutil-cli --PSIDrevertAdminSP <PSIDNODASHS> /dev/<device> I was then able to run the format command and Type 2 Protection was now removed. Hopefully this will help someone Thanks everyone for helping
