Hey guys I've built my server a few years ago. Back in the days i just wanted to do some standard stuff like Plex and Nextcloud. So i've built it ITX in a Fractal Node 304. But now i want to use it as a router as well (pfsense). Is there a solution you can think of to get my 10Gbe NIC and a Quad Gigabit NIC in there? My mainboard supports PCIe bifrucating. But all i read about it, it is mentioned for mining. Would this somehow work with two NICs? There is almost no space, but I (my wife) really don't want a big tower in my living room^^ So maybe somebody else got this solved somehow? Thank you

Updated my Bios to F21 version because of a problem with my 10G intel NIC. Now there is no "ondemand" or "conservative" option anymore in govenor settings. CPU runs way hotter than before (stuck to 4.5Ghz) even while set to powersafe mode and power consumption in idle with Array up is about 90Watts! This is like 70Watts more than before. Any ideas to troubleshoot this? and this problem came up after updating BIOS too.... crazy

Hey guys I bought a set of Intel X520-da2 NICs to connect my unraid server directly to my workstation. But I ran in some issues. I found out, these cards only work with intel transceivers or cables OR you change some bits in the cards EEPROM to make this possible. First problem. Not THAT bad. Maybe I‘ll need some help later on… but for now my problem is, that the NICs are not showing up in unraid at all. Ethtool, system devices etc. are not showing anything. The cards port flashes as i plug a cable in. But thats all. where to start troubleshooting? My first thought was that it‘s the PCI slot. Because i use a Gigabyte Aorus iATX Z490 with only a single PCI slot. Like it is dedicated to a GPU? Both NICs show up in my windows machine and are testable with intels Proset. No issues detected. But on my unraid machine i‘m just clueless. I really appreciate any tipps or help

*UPDATE* Since i did all this power saving settings, my server looses network connection. Even when in use. when this happens it‘s not even listed in my router. Is the NIC going to sleep? i edited the go file back to default, but it keeps happening. Lost a whole day of my life trying to solve this. any ideas or experiences with this behavior

Appstore login in working. Everything else tested, too. Only logging in to messaging/cloud service does not work.

Thank you very much. Thats how i did it. But it didn‘t solve the problem. Any other ideas why there is no connection to apple servers? my serial number is invalid. That‘s the first thing i double checked. Should i try to use a different config? I used the 2013 Mac Pro like in the tutorial

no. Something is blocking the connecting to apple servers. Could you copy that time xml part? I don't get it to work

Are you guys able to login to services like iMessage and icloud? On my server it's not accepting my login. Just curious if it's a fault on my end

Thank you @mgutt for the great work! I gave this a shot after a year (back in the days it just didn't work to get the CPU off turbo mode) and it's insane. Maybe my readings are wrong with powertop. But if not... wow Before "tuning" this my power consumption with some steam servers runing, plex and home security runing was around 25-45Watts. Setup is this: CPU: i5 - 10600k Mainboard: Gigabyte Z490i Aorus Ultra RAM: 64GB 3200mhz NVME: 1 x Evo Plus 1TB HDD: 2x8TB 2x4TB WD Red Cooling: 4x Noctua 120mm It came down to 6-12Watts! How is this possible? Only because entering C-State and avoiding turbo mode? My CPU never clocked under 4.1Ghz before tuning. Now it's runing at 1.2Ghz until load is applied. This is so amazing. Even if it's not turbo boosting anymore. It's still enough power for all my daily tasks. Even the Fans stopped. So it's a passive cooled server in the living room right now And with the raising costs for power in europe, i really appreciate this money saving per Year.

Solved the problem! Preset it starts with the latest version of Proton on my steamdeck. Changed and forced this to use Linux Runtime, deleted proton files —-> works like charm! thank you very much for your work 🙌

Oh sorry! Didn't mention, that i blanked out half of the GameID for safety. I tried a bit and it's joinable from my laptop, but not from my Steamdeck. So maybe it's a Linux issue? I can PN the GameID if you want. Thank you for helping

CoreKeeper connection issue: Hey ich777 I really enjoy your game server dockers, great job! But i´m facing an issue with CoreKeeper. Every time i want to join a server on my unRAID the game crashes on my client device. The log file has no errors in it. Any idea what i can try to fix this? Thank you very much

Hi guys. I have a dumb little question about my filebot docker. It works great. Everything like it should, BUT: It always renames my files and folders in english. I want all my files in german. Even when they are german, they get renamed to the english version. On the WebUI i can select german and it works fine. But automated it grabs the files and in the destination folder they are english. i guess it is just a command line. but did not find anything about it. Greets and thank you in advance
