  1. Forgot I had played with TVHeadend. Will replace bzimage and bzroot and try again. Thanks Reed
  2. Great looking plug-in Thanks for all your work. I have been following thread for a while. Hope I didn't miss the answer to this problem. I am running unRAID Server Pro 5.0-rc11, simpleFeatures.web.server-1.0.11, VirtualBox Plugin v0.5.2 and have downloaded vbox-4.2.8-unRAID-3.4.26.tgz again to make sure I have a good copy. This is what I get via putty: root@Tower1:~# /etc/rc.d/rc.virtualbox install rc.virtualbox[12083]: Installing Virtualbox package (v4.2.8 unlink: cannot unlink `/root/.VirtualBox': No such file or directory +============================================================================== | Installing new package /boot/config/plugins/virtualbox/vbox-4.2.8-unRAID-3.4.26.tgz +============================================================================== Verifying package vbox-4.2.8-unRAID-3.4.26.tgz. 3. Try: installplg swapfile.plg That did the trick. Thanks again, Reed
  4. Tried to install on unRAID 5.0rc11 and got this: root@Tower1:/boot/config/plugins# installplg swapfile installing plugin: swapfile xml parse error Thanks, Reed
  5. Great idea I will not be so quick to turn the bios off on my iBM BR10i. That would have saved me, if I was looking. LOL Must remember to look....... Reed
  6. There just got to be a better way!!! Maybe next time I'll try a a Usb cdrom drive with some sort of live cd. Exactly what I was afraid of happened. Removed board to a windows system to flash. Flashed perfect. Installed, congratulations you are the proud winner of a red ball! The cause a bad connection. Maybe I should have set the array not to auto start. I had problems with auto start a while back, too long ago to remember the version. Thought I remember reading about it may not be working or maybe not sticking at the moment.(Could be wrong hope I am. Does anyone know for sure?) Any Ideas on how to power up and check to see if all the drives are readable without creating any red balls. lf this off topic sorry, please fell free to move.
  7. Looking for a windows or linux iso file to install to the unraid flash drive's boot menu so I can flash my IBM BR10i any ideas? The sasflash_x64/86 files need windows and the linux flavor needs certain drivers don't know which ones. I tried a copy of a UBCD4WIN cd iso I created a few years ago but it wouldn't boot. Did get get freedos to boot. Reed
  8. I may be wrong but I think you are missing return on the last line of your go file Reed
  9. Yes this is a bug I introduced in -rc2-test, and fixed in -rc2. Thanks Tom! Reed
  10. Thanks for the update! I only use smb. Rc2 working good on my 10 drive system. I have 4 drives on my BR10i one being the cache and 6 on the motherboard one being a 3 TB parity drive. All drives spin up and down, wake on access and spin down individually. Read and write speeds seem to be the same or better. Started and canceled a parity test {no correct) speed was normal. But I do have a problem: The array needs to be started manually There is no startState= in my disk.cfg file even if I select no for "Enable auto start:" There are no plugins running. No unMenu. I have tried applying this setting many ways: array on-line array off-line array on-line "Maintenance mode" set no reboot, set yes reboot, set yes again reboot I know the file is updating because the spin down can be changed. I cut and pasted the line startState="STOPPED" to disk.cfg in the same position as an old backup. Even if I select no for "Enable auto start" and apply the line gets removed. What is the value of the variable startState that allows the array to auto start? Reed
  11. Has anybody tried this with a LSI controller? Reed I will. What is the process to upgrade? That would be great seanant. Depends on what version you have running now. Follow the update instructions for 5.0 beta 14 but replace bzroot and bzimage from the link above. I do not know if this kernel addresses the issue that happens after drive spin down on LSI controllers. I wouldn't try this on a system you don't want to lose data on. Reed
  12. Has anybody tried this with a LSI controller? Reed
  13. Do you have a telnet window open (or the console) where you might have 'cd'ed into a directory on the disk array, e.g., '/mnt/disk1' or '/mnt/user/music', etc? If not, please post system log. Good call! I had too many windows open and forgot. Did a lot of tail chasing on this one! All is good. Thanks Reed
  14. How do you stop the array with the slimserver plugin installed? The array is not stopping for me it just hangs. I am referring to just the plugin being active the server was not configured or started. Reed
  15. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=14043.msg133005#msg133005 $6.00 each free shipping He says: Shipping Via USPS. Will only ship to United States only. WILL NOT SHIP TO NEW YORK!!!!! Ok.. Well now I know!.. You saved me the trouble of trying to ohm out the cable to figure that out! Thanks! On the bright side... I now have a reverse breakout cable if I ever buy the 4020 Norco box! So do I! LOL Glad I could help. Reed
  16. I bought one of these cables. Nice cable but it is a reverse breakout cable. It is designed to connect a drive array or hot swap bay that has a mini SAS 36Pin connector to a controller that has individual sata connectors for individual drives like a motherboard does. There was a forward breakout cable in good deals that was a great deal. I will see if I can find link. Reed
  17. Have you tried simpleFeatures? It has a s3 sleep button. It works for me. I am running Beta 5.10. You should be able to find a way to hook into this function. Reed
  18. I have a second partition on my cache drive for a swap file and apps. It is a Western Digital WDC_WD5000AAKS. It does not report hpa. The second partition does not show up on mymain [not a problem for me]. It reports "Couldn't find drivedb[sdj2]" but it is probably because I have it mounted as: mnt/mysystem I am using unRaid 5.0beta10 Reed Is your cache drive formatted as reiserfs, not NTFS? I was testing on a 4.7 machine when I noticed it in case that's useful information. Yes both partitions are reiserfs. What size drive are you using and do you have latest myMain update? Update is now available from "User Scripts Check for unMenu Updates" button thanks to Joe L Reed

  21. Hi bjp999 It seams sometime after the update I used the "User Scripts Check for unMenu Updates" button and wrote over myMain.conf. After undoing the damage the update button still wants to change it back. Any ideas? Thanks for all you do! Reed
