  1. I have changed from user shares to disk shares, as accessing the unraid user shares from a mac is to slow, once you have 60 or more files in a folder and not matter the samba settings used. So i was successfully using your Syncthing docker with user shares with /media/name of the user share. Once i have created the disk shares will i be able to use the same path /media/name of the folder in the disk share. As i noticed that the top level folders in the disk shares are added to the user share list. So can you use the same file path ?
  2. I am currently using unraid 7.02 beta When I setup up a ZFS mirror pool using 2 x nvme drives the scrub is turned off by default. The data is kept in the pool not transferred to the array. I use the each ZFS mirror pool as a disk share to speed up the read and write. Should i turn on a monthly scrub ?
  3. In the "SHARES" window i have many shares and it's very difficult to see the names. 80% of the shares names are un-readerable because of the truncations. I thought this was going to be fixed in 6.10, I am running 6.11.5.?
  4. I found the issue that caused the disk to go missing for the array. It is the back plane of one of the hot swap IcyBox enclosures that i use to house the array. As suggested it was a power issue that kept turning off just one bay/disk
  5. The disk was rebuilt with no errors. Thanks trurl and JorgeB array is now back to normal.
  6. Thank you for the help, Data rebuild has started and projected for 5 hours. Will keep an eye on the logs and see if i get the power issue again.
  7. Yes Unraid has emulated the disk mount and shows the same quantity of folders and files as the missing disk 3. As seen in image 1. Image 2 shows the data on the missing disk 3 mounted via unassigned devices.
  8. I have unassigned disk 3 and array has restarted with no notifications but it says in the array list Disk 3 not installed.
  9. If i start the array with the missing disk i get the message the "All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started" as per the attached image. So the steps are: 1. Add the missing disk back to location disk 3 and start the array, 2. The data on disk 3 is overwritten/wiped. 3. Unraid rebuilds the data on disk 3 from the two Parity disks.?
  10. What is the correct way to deal with a disk removed from the array after a reboot? As you can see from the attached images showing the array list before and after reboot. Disk 3 was removed and all the drive letters have changed although the remaining disks seem to be in the same order. How to i get the disk back into the array with out loosing the data on the disk that was removed from the array (disk 3)? ----------------- I restarted the server as i removed a plug-in "CA Dynamix Unlimited Width" and I removed a disk that failed pre clearing.
  11. I am using 6.11.0-rc4, its fine moving files from cache pool to the array with a space in the share name. But after replacing the Cache drive i cannot move the files back. Mover starts and finishes instantly. Renamed the share without a space and mover started moving files to the new cache drive. I have seen from the forum that this was also an issue for 6.9
  12. The bug is still not fixed. I am using 6.11.0-rc4, its fine moving files from cache pool to the array with a space in the share name. But after replacing the Cache drive i cannot move the files back. Mover starts and finishes instantly. Renamed the share with out a space and mover started moving files to the new cache drive. Will submit a bug report
  13. I am not a 100%, as my Syncthing knowledge is beginner, but the computer or server sets the IP used to talk between Syncthing folders. Sounds more like a network settings issue.
  14. Thank you for the information I have now "include" just the one share that contains the 29,000 images, will check back in the morning and see how it goes. As you say it only this share that is a problem, all my other shares work at speed. The folder with 29,000 images is not at the top level of the share and is 4 folders deep but it effects the whole share.
  15. Loaded the app and trying it out now, thanks
  16. Could not find "Dynamix Folder Caching" did you mean "Dynamix Cache Dirs"
  17. Thanks for letting me know that is happens on Windows as well as my Mac.
  18. That not good news. I thought the job of a server was to handle large data sets with easy. Are you accessing the data via SMB on Mac or Windows?
  19. Just check the UNRAID Version: 6.10.2. The SMB Extras code is still need to get the search working in MAC OS, but no longer required for copying the files to or from the server.
  20. I have just move my database backup to my UNRAID server, on to the disk array. The database has pictures that are linked to the database and stored in a folder next to the database files. Over time the picture collection has grown to 29,900 images in one folder. Viewing the server and folder via the Web browser I can view the 29,900 files, it takes a few moments for the window to show all the images and Krusader happily moves the folder from cache pool to the array. The problem starts when I try and view the folder from my Mac running OS 12.4 (This also happens with OS 12.3.1) via a SMB share. When opening the folder it hangs with a loading symbol but never completes to show the 29,900 images, I can close the window but the finder than crashes and I have to restart my computer. I am currently running UNRAID Version: 6.10.2 but this also happened under Version: 6.10.1. I have only just moved this large folder to UNRAID so unsure about previous versions. Also I moved the folder to a ssd cache pool and made no difference. All the other shares on the cache pool or array work at speed but do not have the quantity of files that the database contains, Probably a 1,000 files at the most. Is there a maximum number of files you can have in a folder with a SMB share? I have already added the following code to the SMB Extras under setting to get the search, copy to and from working. #unassigned_devices_start #Unassigned devices share includes include = /tmp/unassigned.devices/smb-settings.conf #unassigned_devices_end [global] vfs objects = catia fruit streams_xattr fruit:nfs_aces = no fruit:zero_file_id = yes fruit:metadata = stream fruit:encoding = native spotlight backend = tracker [share name] path = /mnt/user/share name veto files = /._*/.DS_Store/ delete veto files = yes spotlight = yes Even in Version: 6.10.1. I need the SMB Extras code to get the search working.
  21. Does any body have a Docker container for Claris Filemaker Server 19 ? Searching the unraid and docker hub did not yield any results that where useable.
  22. For any new user: When using Syncthing between Unraid and Mac you need to ignore permissions under "Advanced" or it will always be "Out of Sync"
  23. The other tabs do behave differently with the plug-in loaded and web browser set at 2550 px wide, but for me on a Mac using Safari or Firefox that first column "name" in the share tab is always fixed, it looks like they have fixed the width rather than a dynamic column width. The image attached shows a windows 2550 px wide then logged into the server and clicked to the shares tab. Still not display the full name.
  24. I would like to request - adjust column width in the Shares tab as the name column is not wide enough to show the full name of a folder being shared and if you have similar long folder names makes life difficult ?
  25. Thanks for the info, the plug in helped other stuff, but no matter how wide the web browsers the name column never gets any wider. I will add it to the UNRAID request feature page. Thanks
